I was looking around at smaller local casinos and a few things at Ocean's Eleven caught my eye that I found interesting/wondered if anybody could offer insight on:

Are they actually charging a 1% per-hand surchage on each hand here, assuming you're playing at the optimal point, or am I misreading how it works? (And, as a side observation, how many places actually say that players must hit <12? [Ignoring that it's good play to.]

Looking at the promos page, it says they scan your card every half-hour. While I understand that's typical for poker rooms, it just strikes me as an interesting setup since it largely ignores bet size.

How does the 10$ bounceback promo impact things over all? The BJ, by default, has a number of rules that I'm unaccustomed to ('No Bust Bonus', however the collection schedule works, and it's also a 6:5 table) but is the extra 10$ freebet after a BJ is I find interesting at low bet amounts (where the collection schedule stings more).

Yes, there really is an ante to play. That's common at California Cardrooms. The games are player banked, so that's the only way the house makes money.

Yes, they scan your card every half hour. Ocean's 11 is basically a poker room that also happens to have a couple BJ tables and a couple PGP tables. So the poker points system is used throughout the cardclub.

Yes, they are charging a "collection fee" because California has rules that prohibit games played directly against the casino. So all games are "player banked". So without the $10 blackjack promo, you are better off betting $50, $100, etc. $5 bets are generally suicidal thanks to the collection fee, but if you do receive $10 free play for every blackjack it would help offset the loss somewhat. Not enough to beat the game's collection fee at $5 though since you will pay roughly 21*$0.50 = $10.50 in trying to earn the $10 free play, and the free play may be as low as ~$5 in value if they only pay you $10 on the freeplay win only.
