Hello,

I am William. Live in Illinois. I deliver pizza, drive a convertible and live in my mom's basement. I used to play blackjack. I began counting in the 1990's. I have a 12 day winning streak in Vegas for $1000's. Illinois casinos have been around a while, but I was rare to go. I may have averaged 1 trip to the casino every 3 years. This changed last year when I ended a 22 day winning streak, my run was 35 wins, 6 losses over 90 days. I ran into trouble from above. God began misplaying the dealers hand costing some of the biggest wins of the night. God would send James to my table to do his thing. Then I ran into their customer service rep who damn near forced the 3rd baseman to hit his soft 16 when he was stand on 16 all night long.

While I am very critical of the "house", my position is being softened. The casino makes money every time I enter the casino. Every time I buy 100 in chips. The house had made their money. The house does not care who wins and loses they care about who is cheating. Tonight they made 300. I made 120. Looks like the house lost, but the fact is I went to the casino and gave them 300 for some chips. That money will be counted and the house will have their gross.

I had a hole in my roof. It turned out to be a spot where the tar around some of the flashing had dried and pulled away. A small tub of sealer later it was fixed. But only 9 days till the rapture so bet big.

I'd say this kind of thing is more appropriate for your blog

PS: nice link on the meteor though, thanks.

I really should have left this one in the ground. But I'm a good sport. I have since come to understand reality a little better. Our eyes only see part of the picture so when a meteor vaporizes in the atmosphere, all we see is that it has disappeared. We don't fully know where it went or what exactly happened to it.

As for all the comments about my mental state, I may not agree with what you're saying, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

I've got another close approach story: Coming soon! Comet ISON

Comet ISON will be around this November to light up the night sky here to the north. It's been deemed the Comet of the Century and most of the people interested are very excited. While the comet won't pose a significant threat in November, in January 2014, Earth will be passing through the debris tail of ice and a meteor shower is expected. However, this is not where my main concern lies. My main interest is what to expect after the comet.

After the explosion of a meteor of Russia this past February, the summer heat was put out and made late here north of I-80. In fact, only the past 3 weeks have we seen 80's and very few 90's/ We've also had some much rain that Lake Michigan is 3 inch about normal when in recent years, the lake has been 12-17 inch below normal. That is a lot of water.

Here is the JPL/NASA like to ISON's Orbital Diagram

I no longer deliver pizza. I had to stop when my mom was going through radiation and chemo last January through March. In May last year she said she felt good enough for me to go back to work. Then she had a series of strokes...

I deliver Chicken and Waffles in Oak Park 3 days a week. I don't make much money, but I have a lot of free time. I make the most of both.

Sorry, I've given up on finding a good pizza these days...

If I can have another liberty here, I saved all last year and went to Yellowstone National Park over New Years and then I went to Vegas for March Madness. I only had 300 with me and couldn't catch a parlay. Georgetown killed both the 5 team parlay I had and the 10 team parlay. With 300 bucks and M/L's at -1100 or worse, I didn't think I would enjoy myself betting straight. My sister hit for 4K on the pinball slot machine at Rio. She hit for 2k two days in a row and around the same time. I think they're RNG/Timing was left unchanged. I only got in 5 hands of blackjack and actually won $175.00.

My sister and I went to see some parks. Red Rocks, Valley of Fire and Zion National Park.

There's pictures and video on my facebook page which I have in my profile. You can get a better idea of who I am and how I've lived there. If I had to do it over again, I don't think I would change anything as my mom has old money and I get 1/2. With that said, anyone know how to sell 1/2 a house?

And finally, I will be back in Vegas in November. It's all paid for. The airfare, the Rio Suite, the rental car and a room in Springdale, UT. Monday, in November, I get to Vegas at 8am, pick up the car and drive to Springdale. I will then hike a few side trails. Tuesday I've got a free deluxe breakfast and I will hike the Floor of the Valley trail. Round trip is about 20 miles. Tuesday night I get my comped room at Rio. Total: $504.97 for 4 nights.

I strongly suggest Yellowstone in Winter as a bucket list item.

I guess Salerno's was the best one I had recently, but for 20 bucks, it's not something I would buy often. I like thin crust, pepperoni, easy cheese and baked well done.

I have a simple personal pizza you can make at home. It's been in the family for 50 years. Takes about 5 minutes.

Flour tortilla (in the freezer section or dairy not the ones on the self, but they work too)
Pasterelli pizza sauce
You choice of cheese.
Choice of toppings

Bake 1 in toaster oven or 6 in over for 5 minutes.

I think my taste buds are at fault. I know they are out there, it's just recently they haven't been satisfying. I worked for Giordano's for 7 years. I liked their pizza a lot. I bet it's as good as it ever was.

I can't afford pizza. I'm saving up a bankroll for my trip to Vegas in November. I've been living on tacos, Manwich and bagels. I'm free to get anything I want when I go shopping for my mom, but I don't have the freedom to ask her to buy a 20 dollar pizza.

There is one 3 blocks from my g/f's parents house in Oak Lawn. But outside of Detroit, Little Caesar's are somewhat rare, and I agree, for very good reason. St. Louis has more than I expected though. A dozen within 25 miles of where I live.

It was more of an introduction thread as there isn't a section for newbies to say hello. I went on to talk about an asteroid at close approach, a volcano eruption and meteor over the midwest. All there happened within 5 hours of each other. I was questioning whether all 3 were related or just separate events.

I then dug up the corpse and put it on display with information about the Comet of the Century. The discussion moved towards where can we get the best pizza.

OK, I didn't understand this thread from the get-go. Seemed a lot like a homeless person muttering to themselves. I thought Wizard summed it up pretty well. :-). I didn't say anything because frankly I thought that I couldn't care less. But then the topic switched to Chicago pizza and proved me wrong....I could care even less and at that point did. Lol.

So what changed?? Why am I responding?? Simple....a bunny with a pancake on his head. :-) Great stuff Ace! Made my day.

I lost 20 bucks today at Harrah's Joliet. It was time to protect $280.00 in C.E.T. credit. When I got to the casino I had a comped breakfast consisting of Cinnamon French Toast and a Sierra Mist. The toast was plain as usual and the Sierra Mist didn't have any flavor. Server was awesome and friendly. Service was fast. The buffet was not open so my food was made fresh.

I then went to play video poker and hit a 4OAK of 6's playing Multi-Strike Poker Ultra Deluxe, "Big Pick". The first line of the game was a draw for an inside straight and a free ride to level 2 and 2x, tossing a J. a J came up. On the free ride at 2x I drew 2 cards with a set of 6's. The 4th 6 came up and I got paid. I also won on the top line but my first bonus pick was 8xSTOP. Had a couple of straight. When you have chance to win at 40X, it's a soft game.

After earning 2 Tier Credits, I watched a craps table for about 30 minutes. It was field friendly. Until I placed a bet. The roll was the 4th non field number and the roll was a hard 8. The 4 non field rolls were 6, 6, 8, 8. The point was 9.

The entire day cost $13.12 in gas and 20 bucks lost on a hard 8. The day went as expected. The last time I also won earning a couple of tier credit. I played a different poker machine and max bet and lost. I was going to gamble the leftovers from earning the tier credit on something.

I haven't had a winning day at the casino in 2 years.

When I got home I ordered a new lamp for my projector. The lamp blew in February right before the trip I took to bet the NCAA Tourny. It'll be nice to have an 115 inch diagonal screen for the football season. That should ease my pain. $200 bucks. They blow every 8 months at 5-6 hours a day. I think I got 4200 hours of the last bulb. The first 2 lamps that were blown Epson set me up with free bulbs. The Projector is an Epson 85HD and has a built in DVD Player. It's basic and requires manual focusing. Awesome 1920 picture from the HDMI channels transmitting the same. DVD are dependent on their quality. If it's recorded at 720p, then that's the picture quality.

Just updating my information:

My mom passed away on August 9, 2013 So I no longer live in my mom's basement. Thanks for the concern and well wishes. I'm not looking for sympathy, I was just updating my situation.

Got my lamp and my 115" screen back for the football season and World Series.

I've been planning a 2nd trip to Vegas after the the one I have in November. The 2nd trip is to extend my winning streak and to cash in my winning sports bets. Since I check often looking for low prices, I checked an airline today and was able to find a 1-way ticket for $29.90. I could not pass that up. Stick me in the cargo bay. I also booked a 1-way return for $108.90. I also paid for my seat. Same seat I take in November. The total was $174.79 round trip. A great deal.

Now I am looking at hotels. I can get the Flamingo for $18.00 per night with the current Total Rewards promotion. Extend your summer sale. It's only available online. I can get free rooms in Tahoe and Reno, but it's $134.00 round trip in gas and 7-8 hours each way. So that's out. Next, I can wait until my new offers come out from TR and most likely get in a free poker, blackjack or slot tournament along with a free room. Sometimes there's free slot play. I also have myVegas rewards I may be able to use. Here I might be able to get 3 free nights at an MGM Resort. There's Mlife offers and finally, straight online room purchase.

Yes! I'm a little more happier!!!

If Reno is free, is Laughlin also free? That's a much shorter drive and there are bus options that might make it easy and affordable to stay in Laughlin and (mostly) play in Vegas.

Total Rewards "other" section has Harrah's Laughlin 3 nights for $28.02 total and no mention of resort fees.

Oooo! Cinnabon and Baskin Robins....

Thanks for that....

I'm holding off on the 108 each way air for January.

Too bad nothing came up at 29.90...

Round trip gas is 26.00. Vegas to Laughlin.

Rental Car 126.

Looking like middle of the strip with no car and either walk or take a bus or shuttle.

I've got time...

Do what makes you happy. And sorry about your mom (even though you said you weren't looking for sympathy).

She always wanted us kids to be happy and I do my best getting there. I was personally expecting her to see next year.

January 2012 She started targeted radiation for lung cancer.
March 2012 the radiation treatments ended. (I have the last parking placard)
April 2012 she started Chemo.
May 2012 She had a series of strokes and stopped Chemo.
June 2012 she moved to the living room from upstairs for easy access to kitchen. (easier to remove body)
She was 60-70% and we went shopping a few times a week. She said I could go back to work.
I found a job in less than a week working 3 days and all I do is sit at home waiting for the phone to ring.
Then I go pick up and deliver food and go back home to wait for the phone to ring. Perfect job. Perfect for the situation.

2013
May 21st she had a brain tumor removed.
June 11 I took her to the doctor. She refused Chemo.
Late June was difficult and I had a run of 3-4 days with 2-3 hours of sleep each day.
July 10 we went to the bank and she had a dizzy spell but was able to get in and out of the car on her own.
Mid July she signed up for Hospice Care. Got a new bed. Oxygen tank and machine.
Late July she improved and was actually 50% on the scale.
Early August she became needy again and needed help getting into bed.
August 6 Hospice took over and I felt she was good. Walking around. Getting her own food and water. Almost normal.
August 7 they began giving her morphine to kill her pain and was bed ridden from this point.
August 8 she was unconscious 95% of the time.
August 9 she passed away around 7:15 am.

Thanks for the sympathy. When you're told she's only going to live 6 months, you adjust. Especially after a brain tumor or Chemo. Many times I tried to convince her she was alive and living. I think the message sank in at times.
I was here nearly 24/7 for 18 months. If anyone knew her ability, it was me. She should still be here. She may have given up.

An asteroid 2010 (GA6) http://ssd.jpl.nasa.gov/sbdb.cgi?sstr=2010%20GA6;orb=1
Last observed 4-8-2010

Volcano eyjafjallajökull erupts closing Europe for 6 days. Cause of our unusual spring weather. I call it volcanic spring.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/04/15/meteor-in-wisconsin-iowa_n_539293.html
Super awesome. Could be a 3rd object. Could be asteroid. Could be ejecta from volcano.

These three things happened in the above order within hours of each other.

This thing consumed me and very grateful to be one of a select few to know this information. My official stance is that the meteor came from the volcano. I've research related stuff from VSL to Dinosaurs. Quantum Physics in is simplest understanding says that ALL objects take ALL paths to come to the same end.

As for impacts, we've never seen a major impact with substantial damage. Holes in the roof and dead cows are some of the bigger ones. Some asteroids cause fireballs that streak across the sky, and others strike the rocky surface a fraction of a second after entering the atmosphere. So, it's technically possible 2010 GA6 came in nearly invisible, bounced of Earth causing a volcano then slowed down. It orbited Earth and reentered the atmosphere over the Midwest as a meteor heading at a trajectory of Iceland.

The Dinosaurs:

According to the artist, it's always a sunny mid-spring like day. The dinosaurs are going about their dinosaur business. Suddenly a fireball appears and they all look up to take notice of the disturbance. The asteroid impacts sending ejecta into the air. Killing the dinosaurs. They were dead and buried prior to the chicks-a-lube impact.

Once again I leave you to your own devices...

William

And Now For Something Completely Different:

Interviewer: Good evening. Well, we have in the studio tonight a man who says things in a very roundabout way. Isn't that so, Mr Pudifoot?
Mr. Pudifoot: Yes.
Interviewer: Have you always said things in a very roundabout way?
Mr. Pudifoot: Yes.
Interviewer: Well, I can't help noticing that, for someone who claims to say things in a very roundabout way, your last two answers have had very little of the discursive quality about them.
Let down the curtain; The farce is over.

I can't help the way I am. I've always been this way. I'm not sure what makes me different. The things I've learned that go against popular beliefs. The things I do that contradict what is normal. It could be anything.

Examples:

Things I do. The average person spends 10,600 hours naked during their lifetime. (includes sleep, sex, bathing and getting dressed) As a nudist, I will nearly double that. Yep...

Things I know: A NASA video that never existed that I have seen shows the crew of Apollo 11 lying about being 1/2 to the Moon.

My trip to Vegas in November is still on, and I also managed to grab round trip air to Vegas for December at $29.90. The airline wasn't charging for fuel that day. I couldn't pass up the deal. I've already reserved a rental car for 126.89 and looking for a lower cost. I still need a room and waiting for Total Rewards to update my offers. Also planning a trip for January that will have to wait until after November's trip.

Blackjack Player in Training:

I've been playing blackjack at home. I started with 1 deck and was getting my ass kicked. I was basically sharpening my basic skills. I then bought 2 new decks and a box of chips and began playing. The box of chips contains 16,250 in chips. 25/500, 25/100, and 50/25. The object of the game is to win all the chips playing a basic strategy and betting as if you would in the casino. I'm using a 1-5 spread.

The first few weeks I was running into the same issue. Every 4 or 5 sessions, a session is 4-5 shuffles, I would hit a session that was a loser. It was frustration. During that session, I would lose 600-100, or, my starting roll. I started looking into 6 decks, but re-examined my play and found that the problem wasn't in the cards, it was my willingness to lose 600-1000. I was also pressing a little. Instead of just subtracting the loss from the chips I had won, I would just start over.

This past week I am seeing 6 winning sessions for every 1 losing one. I'm no longer willing to lose more that 350 during a losing session and instead of starting over, I subtract the losses from my winnings. I've stopped pressing bets as much and the losing sessions are not as catastrophic. While I can say that overall playing with 2 decks I am ahead, I currently have an actual count since the last time gave up and I started over. 3,350 in practice winning spanning 14 sessions. I will be interested in seeing if I can get up and walk away that first live session if for some reason I find myself down 250. It's where I am at highest risk.

If actual casino play follows what I have seen in training, I am looking at a wonderful restart to a long and profitable streak.

As for my week long absence, the cable modem popped and it took comcast a week to get out here and replace it.

I'm trying to figure out what happened. Above I stated I was winning 6 times in a row followed by one loss. This happened for over a week. Then suddenly, I couldn't win 1 out of 6 sessions. This happened over a 2 day span playing about 8 sessions. I settled for a couple 200-300 losses, then I just gave up. So I put all my 6000 chips won back in the box and started over. It took a while, but I finally got a winner.

Instead of variance and standard deviation, I am examining the physical shuffle technique. After days of playing exactly the same way, shuffling in the same manner, the cards just got stuck in a losing pattern just as they had be stuck in a winning pattern. For all I know it was a miracle. So once again I am looking into getting 6 decks as this is where all my winning streaks in live play have taken place.

A break is in order, but what I really want to do is throw the box of chips against the wall in anger...

Well, I'm back at it. I never stopped. Training is going well. A few changes I've made are, changing seats once in a while so I'm not playing the same seat every time. Changed the number of hand played. I usually deal four hands and I play one as me, but I've been mixing it up playing one on one, 2 and 3 hands. Since the previous post, I have been able to avoid catastrophic losses over 500. Most of the wins are between 200 and 400 with a couple 100's and a 600. I can only think of 3 losses and a break even. it's a record of about 48-3-1 good for 4925 in chips. I still have a chance to win all the chips in the box before my trip next month, but I'm more interested in avoiding big losses and increasing the number of chips I have. My bets are between 25 and 225 with most being in the 25-75 area.

If there was one thing I could change is the title of this thread..

William's Box would be it's name.

It's called variance, William. Variance doesn't care where you sit, how many times you change seats, when you stop playing or how many hands you play. Your sample size is way too small to have any significance. If you're planning to spread $25 to $225 at a single deck game, not all casinos may tolerate that. Have you considered using software programs to practice blackjack?

I only tested software and found I just didn't like it.
Other than the bow shaped decks of card, I really like
playing with chips and cards. I just didn't give RNG games a chance.

I don't like single deck blackjack.

There's a little variance, but I try to keep it to a minimum.
Sometimes I start off with a 50 bet, others 25, sometimes 75.

EDIT:

The cards and chips system has worked well for me in the past.
The only variance that gets in my way is my own negative variances.
And I think I've made progress keeping it to a minimum.

How much is enough?

I know you already know I lost in Vegas in December. The question is, do you remember? I don't have any travel plans for Vegas this year. I am thinking about Easter Brunch at a nearby State Park. Thanksgiving and Christmas are open for now.

Well things have changed around here. The day after Christmas I replied to a craigslist ad for a delivery position. Say what you want about pizza delivery guy, but they make good money. January 27, 2014, I started working for Papa John's in Lakeview. It's about 2 miles down the street from Wrigley Field. I drive past it several times a day making runs. I went from making about 23 dollars a day to almost 100. The manager is awesome. The other drivers are sweethearts, and the computer system keeps dispatching deliveries favoritism to a minimum. Between the 2 jobs, I work full time and 7 days a week.

Things just keep getting better...

I lost 150 in the NCAA Tournament and lost another 25 on Opening Day.

Things are going really well. Other than the title of this thread anyhow.

I logged to pot because I came up with an idea for a bet. I'm sure it's been done before.

HARD 7: a single bet in Craps that covers 4 and 10 hardway. It pays slightly more than the combined total of the hard 4 and hard 10. For the player to win, both hard 4 and hard 10 must be rolled before point is made or shooter 7's out.

Sorry I don't have a punchline.

EDIT: It came to mind when I was looking for vanity plates. Hard 7 is last hard number available. Panpan was taken. So I thought about going with NMLOP, which is available.

Good Luck!
