The shipping company claims that Memmo signed for the incorrect delivery, which Memmo disputes. He also said that he never informed them he was someone he is not. According to Freetown Police Department, they were informed by the delivery service that two televisions had been delivered and one was delivered by mistake. “The delivery service contacted police after several unsuccessful attempts to recover the television. Police then visited the residence where they spoke with the male in an effort to recover the television. Unfortunately, he refused to cooperate,” the FPD said.
Memmo is now facing jail time. He says if he knew he would be arrested, he would have paid for the larger TV or returned it.

Now they own The Simpsons and like every Marvel character except Spider-Man.
I think now they also own the complete rights to the original Star Wars?? Or distribution rights, or something... I just know there was something weird about Fox owning certain rights on A New Hope but none of the other movies.

Correct - Disney finally owns the X-Men and Fantastic Four.
They’re going to reboot both series and they can finally join in for future Avengers movies.

Wel xmen needs a reboot
Last few episodes characters were doing their own internal reboot (hey lets go back and change time so the last 5 movies never happened)
Followed by (we have to save the changes made to the original characters because the time reboot we did makes no thematical sense)
To the last film (wait, what reboot? Where are we? Post apocalypse?)
Yeah Xmen needs a studio reboot

CGC is the leading company for certifying comic books and handles hundreds of millions of dollars each year. Last week, they sent two comics worth about $85,000 to the wrong address. Someone at the comic shop signed for them, but the shop owner says he never got the books and claims no employee signed for them. The delivery service has a signed receipt and is washing their hands. The comic shop owner denies having the books, the police were informed but don't seem to be involved at this point, and the owner is out a relative fortune. I think CGC will end up eating the loss. Supposedly, someone transposed the customer account number when entering the books into the system. Amazing the damage a minor employee can do to a business. They hire the most knowledgeable people they can find to grade the books and get undone by a mistaken keystroke.

Almost certainly comic books at that level are insured.
Most likely the insurance company will conduct an investigation.
I had to deal with a similar situation when a film in transport never made it to its destination. 8 cartons of film shipped only 7 arrive. Film cant be finished now missing so much footage (films are shotnoutnof order so just not feasible to reshoot dozens of disparate scenes over)
Big insurance investigation finally held the carrier responsible in that scenario.
Who signed for the comics is going to be the main focus. A signature alone wont be good enough if the name illegible

Evidently CGC has insurance for books in their possession and the delivery company insures while in transit. Someone will end up reimbursing the books rightful owners. My money would be on the books being in the comic shop owners possession.

This is the FTC page on unordered merchandise:
https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0181-unordered-merchandise
Which says:
Q. Am I obligated to return or pay for merchandise I never ordered?
A. No. If you receive merchandise that you didn’t order, you have a legal right to keep it as a free gift.
I seem to recall this was done because unscrupulous vendors would send people things they didn't order and then hound them for payment.
If they just left it on his doorstep it would seem he was in the clear. The fact that he signed for it may have changed things.

Supposedly he contacted Amazon which told him to keep it. It is the shipping company pressing charges
Devils advocate here is that the insurance company is forcing the shipper to pay for their error so regardless of Amazons goodwill, the shipper brought in the police.
If the guy has some record of the Amazon convo he may have a very strong case. If Amazon told me I could keep a wrongfully delivered item I am not giving it to Fedex or UPS or whoever.
If you add this to the FTC rules he may even have a lawsuit against both the shipper and police. His story has gone viral so he even has defamation claims

The liberals previous boycott was successful in making it easy to just walk right up and get a tasty sandwich immediately. Just look at the restaurants on Sundays, no customers at all.

My thoughts on Chick-fil-A
They are big on Christmas lights. The local one has a huge Christmas light display
They have an extremely loyal following. The local one was torn down and rebuilt bigger and 2 car lanes
The grand opening, parking lot full of RV campers and tents. Pretty impressive.
I'm aware of their anti gay stance
I don't eat there because in my opinion, the chicken sucks. Crappy food. yuck.
My go to chicken, Costco 4.99 rotisserie. Cheaper then a fast food meal, chicken tastes fantastic, you get a whole chicken. Its a no brainer.

I'm surprised an airport would consider any company that wasn't open seven days a week. While I have no problem with a store closing on a Saturday or Sunday for any reason, airports have limited dining options and I'd think a store open seven days is a better choice.

No, it's chick filet. Their base serving is the filet of a chicken breast, breaded and deep fried, on a bun.
When I was commuting to Wash DC 2000-2002, I flew several times next to the head of the company - we were both living in the Daytona Beach area, and Delta was flying small jets on some runs back and forth to ATL.
Mr. Cathy was a very sweet guy, in his late 70s 15-20 years ago. We had some interesting conversations. He strongly believed in keeping the Sabbath. So his stores do fine the other 6 days of the week, and leave people wishing they could buy them on Sundays. Not the worst business model.
He used to give the flight attendants stuffed cows for their kids, hand out free coupons for sandwiches, stuff like that. He passed away maybe 10 years ago? And I think his son runs it now.
I still don't eat chick-fil-a. I'm not interested in funding their anti-LGBT agenda, and I genuinely don't like their product, especially the waffle fries. But I have to respect a guy who sticks to his principles.

They outsell McDonald's per unit being open 6 days a week.
I definitely disagree with the chain's beliefs, but I do eat it. I think they make a good product for the price. And when I lived in Atlanta, I definitely wanted to eat it on a Sunday. Lol
i've been eating Chik Fil A a lot more recently. The In N out model of great food, and great customer service wins me over 100% of the time over McDonalds or any other fast food.

How can you tell? The gay walk, the valley girlish talk and hand gestures are a dead giveaway.
Not to mention the pink and purple Miatas sitting in the parking lot.
And no, I don't think it's admirable when you stand up for stupid beliefs.
Their crispy chicken sandwiches are better than most, however, the bread gets all smashed and soggy after the first bite, and that's disgusting to me.
