This little casino observation, so Nathan worthy. Noticed security at the casino speaking with a patron sitting at a machine, he was sitting in front of a Game King machine as cool and calm as could be. Then I noticed the Caveman Keno, the shattered screen, and blood on his knuckles. The security manager asked him what had happened, and he said he just touched the screen and it broke. Security manager said, ok, please wait here.

LMAO! One of the WORST explanations I have ever heard of! "I just touched the screen and it broke!" :D Come on, Security KNOWS what happened when they see a scattered screen, and blood on knuckles! ;)

That was the funny thing, the guy didn't really seem very nervous at all. You know there is some kind of limit to how much force that can be had from a punch that isn't pulled back. Guess it depends on strength, he really didn't seem very big. Wearing a ring really makes a difference too, greatly reduces raw power needed to break glass, because contact is concentrated and metal is harder than skin and bones alone. Guess breaking the glass is an easy way to solve a gambling problem, since you will be banned for life and have to visit a casino much farther away if you want zero risk of going to jail and fined.

It could have been much worse. He could have taken an axe and AXED the machine in anger after losing $12,000 like one literally poor sap did after losing $6,000 one day in a slot and using his remaining $6,000 the next day to get back that lost $6,000. You guessed it he lost his remaining $6,000 and took it out in anger and frustration, so pissed off about losing $12,000 in just two days in the same slot. He was arrested and charged with reckless and dangerous use of a weapon, endangerment of the well being of lives, and damage.

What will a casino do to a patron who smacks and damages a machine in a fit of angry frustration?

Could the patron avoid being banned if he / she promptly apologizes and offers to pay all repair costs?

Good question. I'm wondering if they have to axe them just for the fact they either could be dangerous or could have a gambling problem or both. On the other hand, pretty sure the casino is charging quite the price for repair, maybe lost of profits. Good question, I guess I don't really know.

I think it would entirely depend on past and present value of the player to the casino. I would guess the first thing security does is just hold in place while they check with the VIP services. There might even be a standardized damage cost a whale or big player has agreed to pay, and they have a habit of breaking video screens on a losing streak.

I've heard, anecdotally, many stories of worse abuses than busting a video screen. Trashed rooms, theft of property, slapped or punched employees, other abuses, they sometimes just charge it to the account or even absorb the cost.

OTOH, I do expect the default would be to ban the patron. They definitely jump on players beating up their machines with far less force than what it takes to break the glass.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

My local Casino does .25 Roulette. My Roulette App has 36 numbers you can play, plus 15 out of the wheel spots, (2:1, 2:1,2:1, 1st 12, 2nd 12, 3rd 12, 1-12,12-24,24-36, Red, Black, Even, Odd, 0,00) In the real world Casino Roulette, my calculations tell me I would pay almost $13 a spin if I put a quarter on all 36 numbers in the inner wheel plus all of the out of the wheel choices. :) Seriously contemplating giving it a spin so to speak. ;)

I dont understand? When I read the strategy I thought it sounded good so I ran down to local and played it. They only had $5 tables though so it cost me more per spin. I dont want to share my results though because I dont want the casinos to shut me down. All I will say is hopefully next time goes better. I get paid in Friday so maybe I will try again.

In Nathan, do we have a member that actually doesn't understand roulette?!?!

Circa 1995 troopscott was a state trooper. I do not drink, did not drink. Was in town for a bachelor party. Playing craps at casino royale. My buddy grabs drinks and being a douche for me jack and coke from the waitress. Was thirsty so I drank it. And then another and another and then troopscott was drunk and winning at craps. Guys left to go back to hotel but troopscott was not ready. He moved to blackjack heard cheering with $100 bet (troopscott was up quite nicely at craps and now drunk) troopscott turned to look at the craps table and dealer skips to the next player for a hit even though troopscott had 11. Troopscott argued, refused to back card up or give troopscott another card. Troopscott throws liquor glass hits slot machine breaks glass. Mario and Luigi grab troopscott and drag him to the back and beat the crap out of him and call police. Police come find troopscotts badge in his back pocket. Police step out with Mario and Luigi come back in and said they will let you go but you have to pay for the slot machine. Troopscott said ok I have about 2k on the table. They responded troopscott you have no chips on the table. Troopscott paid $600 out of his wallet (which was all troopscott had) and was let go a body mess. Troopscott recounted story to all 12 people in the room when he got there nobody believed him. Next morning troopscott gets woke up by friends holy crap dude you were telling the truth. Pillow and bed was covered in blood.

They told troopscott to never come back. Troopscott listened until about 2005 when he went to vegas with wife. Troopscotts wife wanted to go in. Troopscott did. Nothing happened. Troopscott went back again and nothing happened. Troopscott assumes since I paid for the machine and was not arrested or given a trespass notice he is in the clear now 23 years later

That was the first time troopscott drank. Troopscott has never drank again.

"I'm gonna let the liquor do the gamblin'!"

I'm not encouraging that type of behaviour, but that was a hilarious story! The best part is it's hard to say how much of that (the Blackjack table part) is exactly right due to your level of intoxication. Like, what if you were actually trying to hit a Natural, "No, that's eleven, and I want a G**D*** card!!!"

I'm sure that wasn't the case, but the story would be even better had you been trying to hit a natural.

I have $5 in free play and if the machine allows me to do so, I will use it on Roulette. I also have an extra dollar. If the machine does not allow me to use it on Roulette, I will use the free play on normal slots and "Cycle" the $5. Let's say I get $3 back in cash. Go on. Humor me. Why would you put the same value wager on red and black at the same time? Odd and even at the same time? You cannot win with either of those combinations. You are just faced with the possibility that you won't lose when zero doesn't land or you do lose when zero lands. You CANNOT win? Is that what you do for excitement in Florida? Are you being silly here? Or is it worse than that?

At a real world Casino Roulette table now. My $5 netted me $30. To the Roulette Table I went! Up and down I am at $5, my free play value back in cash. As I typed this, I got some money back and got $6. So $11 in cash, or double the free play money. :) After I typed this, I found my other $5 that I had inadvertently dropped on the ground. So, $16 in cash. :)

Must be playing at the place you have to stash the hobo bag in the bushes. Probably another reason they don't allow them in the casino. Players used to having one are more apt to inadvertently drop their money on the floor.

So, long story short, I lost $14 of the $16, and left with $3. My $1 I came in with and $2 from the $5 free play. Still $2 up from where I began, so.... ;) I was thinking I'm going to use the extra $30 boost to get extra points from the Roulette Game and they didn't register! O.O Only the slot play registered! O.O I know I put in a decent amount of play on the Roulette Game, so it should have given me extra points....:/

A decent amount of play? WTF are you talking about? You came to the table with $30. How much action could you have possibly put through before losing it?
You do realise that on a real table, if you cover most bets like red/black at the same time, you earn sod all points because your action is cancelled out?
So very hard to take you seriously.

To be fair, this was my FIRST time playing a real world Roulette Game. I JUST learned how to play Roulette from an APP! ;)

Gave Craps a second chance with another download. Still as daunting as hell. Don't Pass Bar, Come Pass, etc is so damn confusing. Already deleted it and it's been less than 30 minutes since I reinstalled it.

Bet the pass line. When a point is established add max odds and bet the come. Do nothing else but keep betting the pass and come with max odds. Keep doing that until it makes sense and ignore all other bets.
The race is not always to the swift, nor the battle to the strong; but that is the way to bet.

If admin and most posters were hoping this would keep you entertained and off the other 61 threads....good concept.

It's not going to work.

I am speechless. What the heck was I reading for the last hour? I am baffled by how useless 95% of the posts are on this thread, yet I just keep going and going and going and going..... and going and going. I can't stop. I need to go to bed. Why is this thread even in WOV?

A large number of us have been asking that very same question. The people in charge have decided that low quality content is allowed to stay on the site whether it hurts the site or not. Apparently quantity is much more important than substance. I am just amazed that a site that markets itself as teaching people to gamble in the smartest way possible would want this garbage bogging down their site. Also as this thread is so active with the OP posting and people mocking or trolling her, this low quality content remains on the most recent threads and thus will be one of the first things visitors see. Mike I have always enjoyed you, your site and the content you contribute but I have to ask, why do you let this bring down your site's value?

I'm trying to broaden my horizons with the Roulette thing instead of sticking to Slots. I am brand new to Roulette and only played for real yesterday and only got into App Roulette a few days ago.

Mental junk food. You know it is empty calories, but the sugar and salt content is balanced just so that you keep munching away.

Technically it is not "Don't Pass Bar" It is just "Don't Pas" "Bar the 12."

Meaning the 12 does not pay on the come-out.

What are you talking about? Are posts about the following topics quality:

Fake rigged shuffle machines
Pretend control of dice
Back and forth nonsense about the President
What did you eat today
Pages about if something is racist or not
Discussing the suspension list
And so on and so on...

75% of posts are non gambling related. Nathan's posts in no way affect the value of the site, just as yours don't either.

Stop taking an online forum so seriously. This place is a hangout for 40 or 50 regulars. It's like the local bar where you chat with a few friends about various topics, with no chance of a DUI. And once in a while a good gambling topic will come up that hasn't been discussed sometime in the last 10 years. Then it's back to entertainment when that topic runs its course.

This is not a personal hit on Nathan: I don't know her.

However, I find 99% of her posts useless, ridiculous, and no value added. If other members in this forum get enjoyment out of it, good for them. In the future, I will not waste any more time replying or answering Nathan's posts/comments. Unless Nathan improves her posts and members of this forum have vouched for her, my libertarian ways will take my happy butt out of Nathan's way. Thank you.

See? This is exactly what I am talking about. People told me they wanted to try something other than Slots, so onto Roulette I went, even dumped my Slot App and put a Roulette App instead. I am doing what posters ask me to do and it seems my efforts are going underappreciated.
