Do you blame the County Commissioners who paved that almost mile long stretch of road in the middle of nowhere for building a runway with tax funds?
Do you blame the drug treatment centers in palm beach county that bill ten grand a week for treating drug addicts they recruit in New England and then dump in Florida when their insurance runs out?
Sure, the finger-pointing sometimes correctly finds other guilty parties, very guilty indeed.
But the drug companies have had a nation-wide effect with their influence on the opioid problem and I don't want to see them get away with it. Ohio, Missouri and maybe other states are suing them, along with insurer Anthem and maybe others, we'll have to see how that goes.
As for depraved doctors, here's a tidbit from the link below [which is about Anthem's suit]

Drug companies often invent a disease so as to market a pill for it.
Drug companies provide ghost writers or 'first drafts' to authors in journals.

Quote: TigerWuWait a minute... you have three jobs, one of which is federal with great benefits, no mortgage or rent, no debt, a "family fortune," and yet you're still barely able to manage? Something doesn't add up here...
Apologies for all the confusion, just gripped and ripped that post.
I'm good now. I live a decent to very-decent lower-middle-class life, one where I can afford one yearly vacation and general entertainment. Add the fact that I've found the hustle and can get myself the extras like the car, and that's all gravy.
But it's tentative grasp I have on this life. My boy's getting older, and his wants and needs get more expensive. The "fortune" of free room and board is a temporary thing that's winding down. And when you look at it, the "extras" I enjoy now are an unsustainable thing. I live a very spartan lifestyle, quasi-minimalist. No TV, few utilities, eat 5-7 times a week, stuff like that. This plus the hustle is what gets me the extra.
But once I have to start eating more, my 200k NY truck goes to s#$%, I do get the mortgage... basically once I go "full adult", then yeah, it'll be a 3 jobber just to keep it afloat. And three jobs for a twice used truck and what amounts to "glamping"? I'd rather be a squirrel.

I used to have a boat and I can say I will not have another boat. Boats are a lot of work so unless you use it regularly it isn't usually justified.

Savings Catcher is solid. No need to search through ads to get the best price. I use it occasionally and transfer the Walbucks to an Amex Bluebird for easy future use.

They have a yearly cap (maybe $500-$600) per year/per account. But if you are shopping regularly at Walmart you should definitely be doing Savings Catcher. Using the Walmart app makes it pretty easy.

I got one of the nastiest stomach bugs of my life coming back from Vegas. I thought it was food poisoning from stupidly eating shrimp at the Grand Canyon West Indian reservation, but my girlfriend got sick a few days later, and actually went to the hostpital like I should have, where they told her it was a virus. I'm pretty sure food poisoning is bacterial. But either way, a 6hr flight with frequent vomiting is a special sort of hell.

That stuck out to me, too... I mean, I honestly haven't been to an Outback in over a decade, but back then it was like one step above fast food.

At least five steps: Pizza-Buffets-Denny's (or other diners)-American chains that are not steakhouses (Applebee's)-Outback (and other steakhouses)

I always thought her problem was being one of the stupidest, and yet, simultaneously prominent people to ever walk the Earth, but I could be wrong. Should it surprise you that she should also be a hypocrite?

That's not surprising behavior from her at all. She's made a living being one of the most hateful and hated people in the country. She's one of those people that doesn't give a damn what people think of her as long as it makes her millions of dollars.

I thought she was moved from a larger seat to a smaller one, and she had already paid for the larger one and was seated.
I disagree with her on many issues, but in this case I take her side, unless i misread or missed something.
Quote: WaPo fake newsCoulter had originally booked a window seat in an exit row, an airline spokesman wrote: 15F — a comfy seat with extra leg room. Less than 24 hours before takeoff, according to the airline, Coulter switched her selection to 15D — an aisle seat in the same row.
“At the time of boarding,” the statement continues, “Delta inadvertently moved Coulter to 15A, a window seat, when working to accommodate several passengers with seating requests.” So, Coulter went back to a window seat — still in the same row; just the opposite side of the plane. Her new seat had exactly the same amount of legroom, an airline spokesman told The Post.
And the $10,000 in time that she spent "carefully selecting her seat". Free advice. It takes one minute to type in the flight number and day of travel on SeatGuru and then two minutes to change your seat on the airline. In the case of her flight, the window seat that she was given has the same legroom but a little less width due to the armrest not coming out. If it take her $10k of her time to figure that out, then she is greatly sandbagging her value.
Now I don't like window seats that much either, but she could have easily asked the lady sitting in "D" - her seat to take "A". If the lady who was given Coulter's seat had claustrophobia or a urinary/gastrointestinal issue by sitting by the window, I can understand the switch.

More details... In short, she changed her seat less than 24 hours before boarding, for some reason this caused some confusion with Delta, Delta employees tried to straighten it out on the fly, at the time and during the whole flight no one complained including Coulter, AFTER the flight landed is when Coulter went bananas and started publicly insulting not only Delta employees but other passengers:
"The airline said that Coulter originally booked seat 15F, which is located by the window in an exit row, however; within 24 hours of the flight’s departure, the customer changed to seat 15D, which is by the aisle. At the time of boarding, Delta inadvertently moved Coulter to 15A, a window seat, when working to accommodate several passengers with seating requests.
When there was some confusion with seating assignments during boarding, a flight attendant stepped in and asked that all of the passengers move to the seats noted on their respective tickets. All customers complied and the flight departed without incident. Following the flight, crew members reported that there were no problems or concerns escalated.
Delta first became aware of the issue with Coulter’s seat assignment when she began tweeting on July 15 after the flight’s arrival. The airline’s social media and customer care teams made several attempts to connect with her to apologize for the seat mix-up; however, they did not hear back from Coulter until Sunday evening."
http://news.delta.com/delta-s-response-political-analyst-ann-coulter-s-public-attack-airline-s-employees-customers
"The airline said it would refund her $30 for the preferred seat she bought, adding, “Delta expects mutual civility throughout the entire travel experience.”
She ridiculed the $30 refund, saying on Twitter that it cost her $10,000 of her time to select the seat she wanted, investigate the type of plane and periodically review seat options.
In an email on Monday, she wrote: “I spent time ‘reserving’ — that term has a flexible meaning at Delta — a specific seat, and that’s my hourly rate.""
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/17/business/ann-coulter-delta-twitter.html
She could also afford someone to do her booking for her, but that would mean giving someone a job and contributing to the betterment of another person...not likely.
Someone griping about a commonality is absurd, why should a wealthy public figure be held to a LOWER standard? This is a ridiculous thing for anyone to gripe about given the circumstances.
I'd have traded her seats, though. It would be worth it because I'm not an entitled (use your imagination) who gripes about the smallest things and is overly demanding just as she accuses anyone left of center of being, and, most importantly, it would result in me not having to listen to her speak. My response to her, "Thank you," assuming she would ever deign to thank another human being for any nicety, which I doubt, would end in, 'You,' but the first word wouldn't be, 'Thank.'
Quote: GWAEIf it really cost 10k for her time wouldn't it be cheaper to just get a private jet and be done with it. She could have saved time with tsa as well so it would have been like making money.
Yeah, why the eff is Anne Coulter flying in coach, anyway?
I've already made up my mind that if I ever become a millionaire, if I upgrade nothing else about my lifestyle, I'm going to fly first class everywhere. Flying sucks. I have no sympathy for anything that happens to people in coach if they can easily afford a better seat.

Probably much more than $10k for a private jet from NYC to West Palm Beach.
Quote: DRichProbably much more than $10k for a private jet from NYC to West Palm Beach.
Paying anyone under 10k per hour to do it for her would be a bargain, then. Again, that would result is improving someone else's life, though, can't have that.
Quote: DRichProbably much more than $10k for a private jet from NYC to West Palm Beach.
You are right, looks like they are about 5k per hour. I was thinking of jet setter where you can get them much much cheaper.
However if I were rich I would be flying first class for sure, and if a plane didn't have first class then she should have just bought the entire row. It would have cost say 1500 with no thought so she would have saved 8500
Still, I have no sympathy for her. She can easily afford 1st class and for her to complain about being moved to an equivalent seat on the same row is not worth the tweet storm. Being jettisoned to a middle seat in the back, yes. Same row to accommodate someone else - who cares?
Looking for a seat on SeatGuru and changing the seat on delta.com takes 3 minutes if you are good at it, perhaps 15 minutes if you are an idiot, 30 minutes if you have to call Delta to do it for you. You need the flight number to look the seat map on SeatGuru and your confirmation number and last name to change your seat on any airline.
My rules for flying are
(1) no middle seats, ever
(2) economy plus or preferred seating to get extra leg room on flights longer than 90 minutes (or JetBlue where all seats are good, or A group on SouthWest to get an exit row)
(3) or no one next to me back in cattle class. This is hardest but you can change your seats pretty much up to boarding time. You can look at the seat assignments and the airline's standby lists to define how far back on the plane you need to go before you will not have anyone in the middle or aisle next to you.
And using your billing rate to equivalate your time is just stupid. I hope the next 100 flights she is on goes into a 3 hour ground stop with her in the back middle seat surrounded by fatties and screaming babies and those who have not showered in 5 days. Any of us who has flown alot has run into those issues.

The chicken itself is great but the real magic is in the green sauce, called aji iirc. Some places it is more spicy and others it is more creamy.

The guy dragged off the United flight was in fact convicted or plead guilty or somehow known to be one of the "Doctors" who gave out pain pills like a factory. As you well know I'm sure, there is a huge problem with this as the multi state arrests showed us last week. He's a Vietnamese immigrant which lead to her "deported" remark. Some how gets his Vietnamese credentials approved here to practice medicine then leads people into drug addiction and death and lastly refuses law enforcement orders to get off a commercial aircraft? Maybe he should be deported and try that crap in Vietnam. As for Ann Coulter, the question remains why would she fly in coach class along with the one about her alleged affair with Geraldo Rivera.

I am NOT a doctor, but it sounds like you're severely dehydrated, along with whatever else might be going on. Drink a lot of water, eat Ramen soup with extra water mixed in, flavored water, coffee, tea, whatever it takes. Suck ice cubes. Something that gets water back in you.
Also suggest you see a real doctor. That's too long ill not to get checked over.
