What if you don't have the big bankroll to support such situations when they come up?

Texas does it again.

Earlier they shocked the world when Richard "Racehorse" Haynes got a clearly guilty client off on a murder charge by arguing to the jury "the son of a bitch needed killing."

Now, a new defense:

Good grief!

Sometimes these judges and their incompetent decisions take the just out of justice. This judge should be shunned and run out of town.

This could be a spin-off thread. Probation after killing 4. He is 16.

Quote:

Prosecutors presented evidence that Couch and some friends stole beer from a Burleson Walmart on June 15, the night of the crash. After consuming the alcohol, Couch and seven others got back into his pickup to go to another store. During the trip, he hit four pedestrians, killing them. Two teens riding in Couch’s pickup were thrown from the truck and severely injured. Couch’s attorneys argued his parents were responsible for the teen’s actions that night because of the way he had been raised, CBS

The site reports prosecutors were pushing for 16-year-old Ethan Couch to spend 20 years in prison. However, State District Judge Jean Boyd sentenced Couch to a decade of probation.

Possibly. The fastest I ever drove a car was about 89 MPH when I was 18. I say "about" because the speedometer maxed at 85. I was going downhill and it was a shitty Cavalier. About 4 hours later, I got in my worst auto accident in my life I was going like 40 MPH then, not 89. Thank god it was only 40 MPH since it was with a Tyson chicken truck, and I did spin across the grass median, but failed to get hit again by opposing traffic. If I was on a motorcycle, I'd probably be dead instead of uninjured though. Then about 8 hours after that, I lost my virginity to great woman who didn't make it to 40 years old, sigh. Interesting weekend.

Funny coincidences:

The fastest I ever drove a car was 100 MPH, in a 94 Cavalier. It was straight and flat (almost negligible downhill) and nobody around for miles. My speedometer wasn't maxed at 85 though.

In that car, I got hit by a Praxair Nitrogen Truck. He changed lanes into me on the highway, I swerved a few times before flipping the car. I was going about 65 mpg, and I must have slid for a few hundred yards with the car upside down on the side of the highway. Luckily, I didn't hit any other cars while swerving, and my car came to a rest a hundred feet short of an overpass.
I heart Crystal Math.
