Yeah I wanted the no side of the wager. Doubt you'd give me 100-1 on President not being disposed by CIA would you.

Or someone has. So that clears that up for him at least (and yes, I do realize he is almost certainly eligible to be the US president, even if he was born on Cowtown, Alberta, but he also Canadian by birth as well... even if he renounces it, he can always apply for it again).
(EDIT :: he has renounced it, a year ago, oops, old news!)

He doesn't have a chance. Neither does Huckabee.
I have no respect for somebody in the public eye
who loses a bunch of weight only to put it all
back on again. I read an interview with him a few
months ago and he was eating breakfast at the
time. The author said he put away 3 times what
a normal person would eat, most of it fattening
carbs. He's in self destruct mode, he knows he's
diabetic, do we want somebody like this in the WH?
Bad enough we have a smoker in there.

Who are you talking about, Bob? Chris Christie or Ted Cruz?

Oh "I love Huckabees" is a terrible candidate, a lightening rod for the Christian Right. He serves some use for the Reps, no doubt, but not as a Presidential Candidate.
Those pointy ears and that long nose.... He looks like pure evil.
Was everybody there because they supported Ted?
Of course not.
In the spirit of Marshawn Lynch, many were there simply because they did not want to get fined.
Yup, if you decided to skip the event because you support, say Rand Paul, the University will fine you.
Is Liberty U really for Liberty lol ?

As opposed to the Clintons who shuck and jive but actually ARE pure evil?

I don't like Cruz at all. Plus he's chinless.
They say he has an under 10% chance.
Quote: Gabes22IMO Scott Walker will be the GOP nominee
Lets hope you are right.
http://rol.st/1DivYrN
Quote:He's just a doughy, finger-pointing white guy of the type the Republican Party has been churning out to fill state assembly seats or run in back-bench congressional districts seemingly since the beginning of time. He's exactly the kind of politician the modern Democratic Party is set up to beat.
As a liberal, Scott Walker does not scare me. He will never win. He is a squirrely looking creep who will never be able to beat a democrat (re: Hillary) in important swing states. Bring him on.
Quote: ams288Scott Walker will never win a general election. So I too hope you are right.
What makes you say this? He has won the governorship twice, three times if you count a recall election, in a relatively blue state? Personally, I think the GOP's problem in recent elections has been in picking people who are not conservative enough. Evidence shows, when the GOP nominates actual conservatives they win.

He not only won, he won when the unions went all-in to defeat him. All of their muscle and he overcame it.
I agree on the GOP losing when they put up a RINO. Notice that the Dems put up a total liberal in 2008 and 2012, yet they won. Even with the USA population of conservatives being twice that of liberals.
Walker is a total sleeper right now. And the libs are scared to death of him.
Quote: AZDuffmanWalker is a total sleeper right now. And the libs are scared to death of him.
The same way we were "scared" of Sarah Palin....
;)
Also, don't speak for liberals. We've covered this before, when you say "liberals think...," "Liberals say....," etc., the thing you accuse liberals of is always nonsense. Liberals aren't scared of this balding creeper from Minnesota.
Quote: Gabes22I always find it odd that every election, the Dems say something along these lines "If the GOP nominates this guy who is a staunch conservative, they have no shot of winning." And the GOP eats it up as if your chief competition is going to be in the business of giving you sage advice to further your success.
It's not just the Dems that say that though. It's.... reality.
Deep down, conservatives know that a candidate like Ted Cruz has no chance of winning a general election.
Liberals and conservatives don't matter in a general election. It's the probably less than 5% of the electorate - the truly independent voters, who decide elections. The Ted Cruzes of the world will never appeal to them.
Quote: AZDuffmanWalker is a total sleeper right now. And the libs are scared to death of him.
I see more column inches on him than other candidates... Cruz now, cos he's come out punching.
I think Walker is an interesting candidate. Hopefully the Republicans can avoid their recent tactic of bloodying up the various candidates before the Democrats get there.
I have no idea who the Democrats can offer right now whose a decent candidate. Hils is not it. She's accumulating baggage, and I think it's time to retire.

I disagree with this premise but there is always Elizabeth Warren...

So all of the attacks were just for practice? The amount of energy expended on her by liberals was the most in recent memory.

I predict Walker vs Hillary.
And it will be a close election. No landslide either way.
But another 2 months, things could change.
Quote: AZDuffmanSo all of the attacks were just for practice? The amount of energy expended on her by liberals was the most in recent memory.
She's an easy target. It's enjoyable to make fun of her. We enjoy when she says stupid things and makes a fool of herself and then tries to blame the media.

I don't think Walker will have a tough run to get the nomination.
poll numbers when she is in hiding. As soon
as she shows her uggo face and opens her
mouth, her numbers go down.
She's really an awful campaigner. She has
little experience at it and is not good at
speaking off the cuff. She was a shoe
in for 2008 and got beat by a better
campaigner. This will happen again.
She just isn't likeable.

Well, I do feel the same way about Obama but substitute "media" for "GOP" or/and "Fox News."
Try to take a step back and live in the real world. Yes, you don't like her. That's understandable. You shouldn't like her.
But the majority of Americans do like her. She is a political force. She will be hard to beat.
Only republicans absorb the FOX News talking points about her. In reality, no one important cares about her email server and Benghazi is a complete nonissue at this point.
Let's not forget how well Hillary did in the swing states in 2008. She even beat Obama in Ohio, and her campaign was basically screwed by that point (and then of course Obama went on to win it in both elections).

You're right again Evenbob.
Hillary simply isn't attractive enough to be elected president. A little plastic surgery and a more feminine look would help.
She also doesn't seem to have any charisma.

Lovin it. Many female voters in Germany voted for Angela Merkel simply due to this attitude.
If only the republican candidates will say the same thing therefore assuring a President Hillary Clinton.
Who's running Germany baby :-)
Keep it coming, pile on, I am just lovin it.
Quote: KeyserThe other problem is that people are tired of the lack of transparency in government. Furthermore, Hillary seems to be even worse than Obama.
People in this country have been sick and tired about about the lack of transparency in government for 200 years. The 45th president will be less transparent than Obama who was less transparent than Bush who was less transparent than Clinton who was less transparent than Bush who was less transparent than Reagan
It's not because she's a woman, she just doesn't come across as a world leader.
Quote: KeyserAnother big problem will be dealing with Putin. Does anyone honestly belief that Hillary would have the intellect to stand toe to toe with such a powerful man?
It's not because she's a woman, she just doesn't come across as a world leader.
The reality is she has a lot of international experience dealing with world leaders.
International experience is something lacking in Republican candidates, especially Governors.
Clinton was Secretary of State, no lack of international experience there.
Quote: Keyser\ A little plastic surgery and a more feminine look would help.

She has the opposite of charisma, people
just don't like her because she is phony
and disingenuous, and it comes across
when she speaks. Her laugh sounds
like a witches cackle. The Secret
Service hates her because she's mean
and nasty. You can't hide what you
really are from the public, they always
see thru you.

He won the recall because people didn't think the recall itself was fair to the elective process, not because people wanted Walker particularly to stay in office. (Some did, but not enough; the election was not overturned because of the swing vote which was based on process fairness.)
Helicoptering in for cocktail parties and fund-raising for the Clinton family fund do not count in the world of international arms trading, unrestricted terrorists and outright invasions of other countries. As we have all too sharply witnessed. Or should have.Quote: terapinedThe reality is she has a lot of international experience dealing with world leaders.

So you are saying they wanted him in 2010 and 2014 but they only voted for him in 2012 because of "fairness?"
He won three times in a blue state. He could win nationally.
Quote: beachbumbabsHe won the recall because people didn't think the recall itself was fair to the elective process,
Yeah that's the ticket. Worked great for Gray Davis too. People just hate recalls...
That's the ticket.

The only reason Clinton was given the Secretary of State job was so she would be out of the country 200 days a year.

Eating my popcorn watching Indiana and Arkansas do the flip flop of the century.
Mike Pence for President, lol, he cant even govern a state.
The odds for Pence, a billion to one.
Even re-election as governor, a billion to one. No votes on the left, the religious right doesn't trust him after changing the bill, CEO's of major Indiana Corporations don't trust him because he did not repeal the bill.
What a flip flop, now he is personally calling Gen Con gaming convention organizers which supports gays, begging them to still hold their convention in Indy.
