Quote: GWAEApr 7-15. Still lobbying for spring Fling to happen on Apr 8th.
And the Great Vegas Beer Fest will be Downtown on Saturday the 8th. Great date!
As an unexpected bonus, if you're staying at the GN on our dates you get a free cruise.
I'm still trying to get into a spa suite, the GN's best, but I don't have any idea what sort of betting it requires. Does anyone have any idea?

First time I went with the girl I agreed to buy her a pair of shoes. Over the three days variance was on my side, and won around $500 at the tables. The pair of shoes was a few dollars short of $1000.......
It was a last minute decision to go. My comps have dried up a lot lately, I got screwed on the 17th. Expensive night in Vegas.
Quote: GWAEJust booked my next trip. I will be here Oct 17-21. However I will be attending a conference for work. I booked comp rooms. Gonna try to convince partners that I should just get $150 a day per diem for hotel and food.
I'll be there Oct 19 and 20 for a wedding. Sadly only in town around 24 hours. Conference in San Fran 21-24.
I've previously had a conference in town at Vdara for work where it would have been fully paid for by work. I stayed at the Rio anyway for free (just before dreaded resort fees started). I felt good that I saved the hospital money as I feel lucky they pay for my CME trips. Next trip is to Key West which will more than make up for it.....
That said, I think you can make a case to your partners, since it likely cost you money to earn the comps you're now using.
However, it never hurts to demonstrate goodwill and fiscal savings to your business partners. You might find a positive way to send the message that you're saving them money and bank that against a future expenditure approval.
Quote: beachbumbabsI traveled for years on govt business using my comps for hotels. No lodging voucher, no reimbursement. I was proud to save the feds the money, truly.

I dont think they will have a problem with me doing it this way. It would cost more than 150 a day if I just expensed everything so I feel that I am saving them money. If I get the 600 in expenses I am going to blow it in the casino anyways and keep my comps going hopefully.
They have this conference yearly so I can save them money each year ;-)
Sept 2-7 Encore
Oct 5-9 Mandalay Bay
Nov 17-21 Cosmopolitan
Jan 19-23 ???? (Probably give Park MGM a shot. Depends on what my comps are...)
Never saw this. Oh fml.Quote: RogerKintDon't forget to check out Bronco El Gigante at the Silver Nugget event center this weekend
I'd lose a little confidence in you if I heard you say that. I could see if you had a hook-up, paying someone little to save money, so maybe say that. Lol. I'll take a 66% commission.Quote: GWAEJust booked my next trip. I will be here Oct 17-21. However I will be attending a conference for work. I booked comp rooms. Quote: AcesAndEightsDistinct possibility I won't make it back to Vegas for many, many years. Such is life with young kid(s) and living across the country. I really need to get a job that will send me there for a convention.
I’ll be there in June for the HR convention.

I have a 4 and 6 year old. When we got married we did the honeymoon in vegas because I told her when we have kids we won't get to go. Since we had our first we have been there 9 times. 5 with kids. We are on east coast too. It is definitely possible with kids. 3 of our trips have been 3 days, before kids I never thought I would fly that far for just 3 days.

That is good data, but your wife must enjoy some aspect of Vegas as well. My wife is not a gambler at all; she is happy to sit by the pool for a day or two, but then starts to get bored. And also is not a fan of my schedule of staying out until all hours gambling and drinking :). We went to Vegas together once, and mutually decided that it wasn't really a great couples destination for us.
I guess I should have played my cards better with respect to the staying out late drinking and gambling if I wanted her to come back. Damn.
Hard to imagine bringing our daughter, but she's only 20 months. #2 is negative 6 months. Some day, maybe.
May I ask what your trips look like when you bring the kids? Sounds like hell to me, with one spouse chained to the kids while the other has fun. Even if you switch it up, meh. Would rather get the grandparents to babysit for a long weekend (we are blessed with very capable grandparents on both sides who love nothing more than watching our daughter).

We are also blessed with the same grandparents. They go over there a good bit and stay the night on occasion. Pretty sure I would have run away if we didnt have that.
Trips to Vegas with them are fun but different. We both like doing things so it works well. We have taken them to Siegfried and Roy habitat a few times, shark reef, circus circus, tournament of kings and some other stuff. There isnt mych gaming or drinking so it is more in line with a trip anywhere else, just has casinos all around. The main attraction though is comped rooms and free activities. Our last trip with them was 4 days and we spent under 600 including planes thanks to spirit.
I can see it being a hard sell to her if she doesn't like gambling and you stay out late, but free rooms and free activities may trump that if you have them.
Last thing I heard you were a 100% lock to be in vegas on SBS. Romes pops up and announces his LV attendance on SBS, and now you suddenly can't make it. What did he do now?Quote: GWAEI have a 4 and 6 year old. When we got married we did the honeymoon in vegas because I told her when we have kids we won't get to go. Cool, thanks for the reply. That makes sense.
My comps have dried up since I haven't played in more than 3 years, other than a very short craps session in AC when I was in Jersey for a wedding some time ago. So I would have to get the pipeline of play history going again to get free rooms with TR. I could probably negotiate a comp at El Cortez (last place I stayed) with a guarantee of some play. Just dreaming at this point though.
What I really need is one of my college buddies to get married and throw a bachelor party in Vegas, then I have a legitimate excuse heh.

Congratulations on the -6 months old kid. You may be able to work out some accommodations based on comps from some folks on this site if the dates work out.

nope, not a lock. My issue right now is that the only flights that I could manage would be getting to vegas saturday night and leaving on a red eye on tuesday. I am not sure if I can miss work on those 2 days because one of my emplooyees is pregnant and due date is on 02/01. I am still trying to work it out.

You will learn not to hire women of child bearing ages. A pain in the butt.
Quote: DRichYou will learn not to hire women of child bearing ages. A pain in the butt.
Lol... I have no comment.
I made the mistake of hiring 3 females that all have kids. Kids mess up everything. There is always something going on where they have to leave early or come late. But I have 2 also and have the same issue. I made a new policy that if there is a 2 hour delay then we all work from home since kids are gonna mess us all up.
Don't be silly, where is the fun in that?Quote: DRichYou will learn not to hire women of child bearing ages. A pain in the butt.
Who wants to hire women of non child bearing ages?

The Boulder Strip.

People secure in their sexuality who actually want to get the work done.
Sure, having young, fertile "eye candy" to look at all day might tickle your fancy but it is fraught with possible peril, both personal and business-related.
If you want someone to show up and work like they should a barren woman is a good choice.
May 26-31 Mandalay Bay
July 21-26 Encore
Aug 31-Sept 4 NoMad @ Park MGM
Going in November also to see the Lady Gaga jazz and piano show. Too early to know where I’m staying for that trip.
Hitting as many coupons I can around town, Wincards and Birthday treats.
Also, visiting all the casinos in Henderson I haven't been to yet (3) completing the goal of gambling in every single casino within a 19 mile radius of Circus Circus.

Already do. There's people like you in every nook and cranny of this town. Thanks for keeping the lights on.
