One's personal beliefs do not interfere with the pursuit of truth;
Relevant facts and information are not purposefully omitted even when such things may contradict one's hypothesis;

Seriously though, intellectual honesty comes from attempting to be unbiased as possible. You can certainly promote an opinion that may be politically biased, but be prepared to back them up with unbiased facts. When I hear arguments that includes the 47% and generalizations at liberals (or conservatives) you aren't being intellectually honest.
Part of being intellectually honest is also admitting that you've made a mistake.
Quote: boymimboSeriously though, intellectual honesty comes from attempting to be unbiased as possible.
That's not true. Ralph Nader is one of the most intellectually honest guys out there, yet he's incredibly biased toward the left.

Libs never cease to amaze me. Whenever a black conservative makes a similar claim about racism, libs all of a sudden become the arbiters of truth, and they proudly give logical, reasonable definitions of what is & isn't racist. Yet whenever one of their own gets upset over something as harmless as this video, these same libs throw all logic out the window and scream, "Racism! Racism! Racism! Racism!" at the top of their lungs. *facepalm*

And America is a litigious nation, as if you happen to get liver damage from tylenol in a combination medicine, you can sue..

No worries. I use them because they work, and I demand they work. As a result, I have to combat tolerance by going on "clean weeks". On a brutal week, like tournament time, I might take five 5-500's in a week. Even that is way under the level for concern. Usually it's two 5-500's a week, for no longer than 6 straight weeks. Then I'll go off for at least a week, more likely two and sometimes up to two months before diving back in.
Been doing that for about 10 years now. I'm not worried.
Just kidding Babs. Get your finger off that suspension trigger !
I just read this story: De Blasio’s Caravan Caught Speeding, Violating Traffic LawsQuote: FaceWelcome to NY.

When I am driving, I drive relatively fast. Not at *Face* speed mind you, but I go about 10-14mph faster than the speed limit on the interstate and i've avoided tickets that way.
And I love driving. When the roads are clear, there's nothing I enjoy more than having the radio / Sirius up loud, listening to music, sports, or talk. But I just came back from a 6.5 hour drive from NYC back to the Falls, for work, on a fairly nice Friday afternoon.
But please, just GET OUT OF MY MMMKKAYING way! I can appreciate a truck in the passing lane. They have a schedule to make and they are trying to pass a vehicle in front of them and generally behave with professionality, moving over as soon as they pass. It's the other morons who hang out in the passing lane doing the exact same speed with cars next to them also doing the speed limit. You have absolutely no business in that lane.
GET OUT OF MY WAY. Even with the speed that I drive (passing mostly everyone), i move over to the right after I pass.

I believe I just saw a story on the 3 things that make people angriest in traffic. One was driving too slow in the left lane, and the other was cutting people off. I don't remember what the 3rd was.

I'm surprised. I reckon you had to have been on the I-90, and I find that route mostly dull almost all of the time. Syracuse and Buffalo during rush hour are the only times I can think of where there'd be anything one could consider "traffic" (cue AZD to argue this point ;))
But yeah, getting boxed in by some mental defective driving in formation sends me over the edge, too. But you're in a Civic. The shoulder's more than large enough for an overtake ;)

This is the most asinine thing ever. Every single thing in a casino is more expensive than anywhere else. A beer is like $3-$4. ATM fees are like $5. A $20 sweatshirt is like $70. And every one of their games is tilted in their favor.
And after all that, they can't hook you up with a simple request such as accepting 4 more quarters?! That tilts me so bad! Last time I was in Vegas, I had a ziplock that I put all my change into. Not change from home, mind you, but change I accumulated in their casino. A broken bill for food, for a drink, for a pack of gum...into the bag it goes. At my place, people routinely show up with bags full from home, sometimes even large glass bottles. $80 in nickels? No Problem! The cashier pours the whole thing into a coin machine and 2 minutes of no effort later, hands him his $80. In Vegas, they couldn't even take my $9 in silver. "Use the coinstar" at a 10%+ HE. M'kay that.
So instead of 32 seconds to count my 36 quarters, I took my $9 in change as well as my $100 buy in and I went for a FREE walkabout. Took all $109 home, too. That's what they get =p

I was in a rented 2013 Chrysler 200, though my Honda has no problem going 78mph. I was on the 17(86)/81/90 combo.

No argument there, just might add that it is often busy but not "jammed" from the west gate on the main line to at least Batavia where it starts to thin out.
HOWEVER, you are showing a Buffalo accent when you say "the" I-90.
No other city I lived in or near does that. Rochester does not do it.
That is a casino that I would be reluctant to visit. Ha! I never noticed that XD
If I go south, I take 219. Cruisin' the southern tier, it's I-86. Only when going to the city or to PA does it suddenly become "the" I-90.
I was thinking maybe it was a speech thing that only Paco would know the term for, something to do with "I" sounding similar to "nine". But when I head down south, I take "I-95". No "the" in there.
Good eye, AZ ;)
Quote: chickenmanFastest ever by a DE was 4.66. He said this week he'll do 4.40. All pretty meaningless IMNSHO. Last year Te'o did what - 4.9? But I've seen the film on Sam and he looks good.
That's college, the NFL is another conversation entirely. He hurt his draft stock tremendously.
All the talking heads are choosing their words very carefully. ESPN showed the text from "an anonymous NFL GM" who major dissed his speed, strength, ability. So the backpedaling starts. No NFL locker room will outright accept him. Agree that if some team thinks he can help them win and they can deal with the never-ending distrations, they may take a chance on him.
4.91. At this point I'll be surprised if he goes before the 6th round, and won't be surprised if he doesn't get drafted. I don't think he can play either LB or DE in the NFL, and that doesn't leave much.

Quote: chickenmanI think ESPN said 18th among defensive linemen. Don't know how many DLs there were. I think he'll be LB, maybe drafted late. Because he came out many teams simply won't touch him, some will be interested in his athleticism and steal him in a late round.
What athleticism? This is the whole point; he's not a good enough athlete to play in the NFL.
His 40 time would be good for a DE, but he is not trying to play DE. He is too slow to play LB, and not big or strong enough to play DE. From the scouting report, his technique is also not particularly good and he is not quick either.
Quote: State of CaliforniaAnnual average daily traffic is the total volume for the year divided by 365 days. The traffic count year is from October 1st through September 30th. Very few locations in California are actually counted continuously. Traffic Counting is generally performed by electronic counting instruments moved from location throughout the State in a program of continuous traffic count sampling. The resulting counts are adjusted to an estimate of annual average daily traffic by compensating for seasonal influence, weekly variation and other variables which may be present. Annual ADT is necessary for presenting a statewide picture of traffic flow, evaluating traffic trends, computing accident rates. planning and designing highways and other purposes.
