I saw on tv where medicine is trying something new with coma patients. In a nutshell, they pipe in the person's favorite song and play it on an endless loop. Not a band, or a type of music but just a single song. The theory is it takes the person's mind to a happy spot and helps the mind and body heal.
So, what one song would you pick?
I'm torn between two covers
the Jerry Garcia Bands version of Jimmy Cliffs The Harder They Come and Warren Zevon's cover of Steve Winwood's Back in the High Life.

I rarely listen to music.
Im sure my brain is broken, but music does nothing for me.

(2) Brooklyn Roads and I have been this way before, both by Neil Diamond.
But I got a say, if you piped in both or either on a continuous loop, I think I would wake up from my coma, never wanting to hear either again. LOL>

Not sure I'd call it my absolute favorite (it's up there), but I'd go with Phil Collins' In the Air Tonight. Conscious or not, I think my arms would involuntarily play the air drums during the 'magic break.!'

Glad I found someone to sympathize, most people think Im a psychopath if it comes up in conversation.
For me, music doesnt elicit the same emotional response that it seems to for most people. Its not that I dont music, its just never something that I seek out and listen to on my own. I pretty much only listen to podcasts or audiobooks.
I like live music. Planning to see KISS in AC this summer if its not canceled.

I am with you. The only time I hear music is if someone else has it on.
If I had to choose something it might be "O'Canada" an no I am not Canadian
