my life everyday that would make my life better forever.
Here are examples from the last couple of days. I have
my phone charger in my bedroom and sometimes I forget
to plug my phone in. I got sick of this, so I ordered another
phone charger from Amazon and put it in my office. A
change in my life for the better.
I listen to nothing but headphones when I'm in bed at night
watching entertainment stuff. I have a pair of semi expensive
wired headphones that I've had for years. But I am really sick
and tired of the wire getting in the way so I broke down and
ordered a relatively cheap set of wireless headphones. They
actually work as well or better than the expensive wired
headphones. And thank God the wire is gone, another big
change for the better.
Usually it's something small that I fix or change. I got a new
water bottle for my bedroom that's way better than the old one.
I drink rum everyday and I started buying it in quantity adding
vanilla beans and cinnamon sticks into the bottles so when I
drink it the rum it's infused with those flavors.
Maybe I will rearrange a shelf as an improvement. Or throw away
a bunch of stuff I know I'll never use again. Or replace a hinge on
a door. I just bought an 8 month supply of toilet paper recently.
I now have Walmart deliver to my door 95% of my groceries because
I hate going to the grocery store. Every week I have to haul down
the garbage cart to the road and in the winter it's a real pain for
an older person. So now I compact my trash as much as I can and
take the cart down twice a month instead of once a week.
I do this every day, look for something that will permanently improve
my life and I'm really happy with the results. Some days I have to search
to find something, and I always eventually do find it eventually.
For instants, back in the 90's i really though a mini digital recorder would really help me get organized, track things for AP stuff and whatnot. I used it for a while but just went back to paper and pen. I fooled myself again when they came out with the handspring palm pilot, again I used it for a while but stopped using it since it seemed to take longer and it was more complicated than just using a pen and paper (I still have both)
Smartphones are where it's at.
I recently purchased a LG Gram Laptop that I was planning on taking back once my everyday laptop got back from the Geek Squad. I was so impressed with how amazingly light it is considering the specs and the 17" screen that I'm keeping it and making it my everyday laptop. If you travel or take your laptop with you frequently, I highly recommend the LG Gram. it weighs less than 3 pounds, you can pick it up like its nothing with just a finger and a thumb. One might want to wait since im sure they will come out with something lighter, better and less expensive.

Not hardly. The point is to make little
changes that add up over time. And
it works. Today I'm getting rid of
cable, realized I haven't turned
the TV on since before Xmas.
Keeping the internet feed only.
Unfortunately Cox pretty much has a monopoly on internet access here in Vegas. If you cancel your cable, they just up the price of the internet service. I would save a little, but my wife likes the cable so we just keep paying the high prices.Quote: EvenBobNot hardly. The point is to make little

I'm pretty sure I will go cable free, at least at the beginning.
If not for the Wife, I would have done away with cable 10 years ago, perhaps sooner.Quote: billryanInternet options for my new home are very limited. 100 MP is $99 a month, while 30MP is $49 a month so I went with the cheaper package as I can upgrade for free if needed. If I prepay six months ahead, I can save almost $2 a month.

I'm fairly certain you can get a bunch of digital channels for free?
Quote: VegasriderTake a motorcycle safety course and learn how to ride and get a bike. See what the other half of life has to offer by being on two wheels.
Having taken care of HUNDREDS, maybe thousands, of injured motorcyclists during my career, many with life altering injuries, some dead, I vote against your suggestion.
You may learn all the safety rules... but that doesn’t stop the inebriated pick up truck driver from not checking his mirror and swerving into you.
I haven't owned a car in about 20 yeats, my motorcycle is my only source of transportation besides walking or taking the bus. I have had many ER doctors and nurses and even a coroner as students. The point is, you must have a different mindset when you ride, Unfortunately not everyone knows or can adapt to it. But riding is a special experience. Unfortunate you don't have an open mind for it.

It would be 8:20. 8:00 is first minute, 8.01 second minute etc.Quote: SOOPOOWouldn’t that be at 8:21? First hour is 12:21. Second hour is 1:21. Etc...?

I’ve heard that you can’t believe everything that you read.
Tomorrow was the last day of my 90 electronic Costco Return date, WOW so lucky, because, I didn't buy the warranty since I didn't think I was keeping it in the first place.
When I returned the computer he asked why I was returning, I told him the screen was cracked. It turns out they had the same computer with a $200 discount, so I purchased it without a second though, even though, I have over $1600 in credit at Best Buy. I was able to get an extended warranty and a brand new laptop for $100 less than I payed 3 months ago. Yeah, a slight pain in the ass since I had to set it up and download a few programs. However, the 3 year warranty and saving $100 was well worth it to me.
I only recently got my Costco membership free. I'm now a huge fan of Costco. Granted, they don't have a big selection of in store electronics, but if they have what you need or want, its great as far as I'm concerned.
I always thought it's amazing to think about this:
if you had a special camera
and you could take a picture of your father's father, and his father, and his father, and his father, and so on and so on
somewhere around maybe 300,000 fathers back..........................
sooner or later you would be looking at a picture of an ape

Have you tried stifling your addiction to WOV?

Wow, are you behind the times.
I come here once or twice a day
now, some days not at all.

It sounds like you want to say that you don't have an addiction to this forum. So can you say that?
I'm now living in Phoenix
Waiting for Spring so I can head north
Visited one of the best museums on my travels
The Musical Instruments Museum
It's incredible and massive
Every display of instruments has accompanying music videos. The museum provides headphones.
The place was fantastic
I had to buy the 2 day pass because the place is massive.
It took me the entire day to get through Europe and North America music.
I need to go back and check out Africa, Asia and South America music
One of the best museums I have ever visited
Just going to do the same stone face expression every time.

Don't visit DC, you'll never leave.
There are 74 museums there,
the Smithsonian alone will
keep you there for weeks.

Agree. During my annual lobbying trip there I just love walking around and trying a new museum. For all those interested in entomology (probably only my son!) he tells me the Smithsonian has the best bug collection in the world.
45 who has no women sleep over changes
the sheets on his bed 3-4 times a
year. Men over 45 it's twice a year. I was
feeling guilty because I change mine
every 3 months. The average woman
married or single does it every 3
weeks or so. This is Americans I'm
talking about. I in 3 Brits, men and
women, admit to only washing the
bed sheets once a year. And I was
feeling guilty..

"In all, two in three (66%) of people shower once a day or more,"
Sinatra showered 6-7 times a day
and put on a clean pair of briefs

lived with in the 70's who showered
5 times a day. I loved it because

one billion tons of water falls onto
the earth as rain or snow. I can't
wrap my mind around this. I have
to assume 70% falls on the oceans
and 70% of the planets is water.
The rest falls on OR and WA, if
you've ever been it's always raining.

Bleah. You have a washing machine, throw them in once a week. You sweat 8 hours a night into them.
