Quote: TDVegasI don't think there is any easy or right answer, frankly.
The mandated closures here in Vegas are ridiculous....not from a standpoint of right or wrong on the containment side, but from inconsistency.
Close down senior centers...but leave Dotty's open?
Close down schools....but leave certain casinos open.
Those being pushed out of MGM today are heading over to Ballys or Caesars. Where is the logic on the containment side? It's as if MGM is saying we will do our part....but others not? Might as well leave it all open then.
I agree
That's where the government has to step in and order the closure. For consistency
Atlantic City was forced to close simultaneously because of government mandate
You really have issue with Nevada and Vegas county regulators

If only there was a person who could set one policy for the whole country.

Exactly, Adolph Hitler would have handled this.
about 2 football fields away, the
Gen-X couple who lives there is
never home during the day weekdays.
Their matching SUV's have been
parked outside the garage for 2 days.
This actually spooks me more than
anything else.

Maybe furloughed from their jobs.
Quote: DRichDo you think we should do that so we don't become what china is or was?
Saying, "do you think we should" suggests we have a choice. TD hit it with, "Hindsight." It may be too late for America to avoid a hard fall.
Consider this: China (and other countries, as they start to recover) could allow travel everywhere except to-from USA. All because an unprepared America "breaks" big time, the World might "lock us in our room" until we are stable enough to rejoin the World Community.

Of course we have a choice. It just depends on how many casualties we can find acceptable.
Quote: DRichMy prediction is that all Nevada casinos will be mandated to close starting tomorrow.
I don’t know if it’s the right or wrong or even a prudent move (probably)....but at least it’s consistent.
Makes ZERO sense to have mandatory shut schools, shut senior centers but leave open Dotty’s and casinos.
At least the leaders should have the cojones to tell the public their decisions are economic reality first, health impact second

How do you know they're never home? Do you see them leave? If their cars stay there, how do they leave?
