Quote: AcesAndEightsDid the scandalous part involve hiring someone in a wheelchair to be part of your family for the day? I've heard of that tactic.
Why hire someone? Just call guest services and ask for a wheelchair. People over complicate things.
If you can put together a group of ten, you can get whisked around the park on roads you never knew existed. It's pricey but you can do the whole Disney experience in a day , avoiding military tickets, hotels and meals. You spend money to save money.

The thing is, what Disney sells is nostalgia. They get you hooked as kids. Then you are compelled to go back as adults for the nostalgia. If you didn't get 'Disneyfied' as a kid, visiting Disney as an adult will be underwhelming.
I guess I can buy that. As a kid I never liked most “kid” stuff. Hated being a kid in general.
That being said I still don’t care for the “grown up” parks either again other than maybe EPCOT.
I watched some of the Disney Geek videos on YT and I saw a ride said “200 minute wait from this point.” Are people that crazy?
Quote: TigerWu. I always go during the off-season. Decent temps, minimal crowds, 20-30 min wait times max for the rides.
20-30 MINUTES? I don't do lines,
except the DMV, and now they
have a call ahead feature so you
can get there without a line.
I don't wait in lines for anything,
it's never worth it.
In 2002 in Vegas I got stuck in a
security line at the airport for 4
hours. I tried to take my own
life half a dozen times.

20-30 minutes MAX. If you plan ahead at Disney you shouldn't be waiting more than 5-10 minutes.
You never wait in line at the grocery store? Or shopping anywhere? I've probably spent more time in grocery store lines than at the DMV and Disney World combined.

I’ve been there where you could go on Space Mountain as many times as you want with no line at all. Get off, go to the entry, get on. Did it five times in a row. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas is the best. Of course that was 15-20 years ago. But still.

Haven't been on any type of ride
since the early 60's when I threw
up on one at the fair. I don't trust
any kind of ride anyway. I don't
even like riding in a car without
driving myself. When I take Uber
I'm nervous the whole way.

Used to be you could get an unlimited fast pass if you claimed you had anxiety and could not deal with lines.
I think they put an end to that as it was getting abused.

I can’t imagine that getting abused. I’m shocked I am.

It was like today's "Emotional Support Animals"

I'm 90% sure that was in there, but I'm thinking back to mentions of finding drugs and getting to know some of the Disney staff on a more... intimate level.
Quote: WizardI do respect acts of civil disobedience and will file your suspension under that. Hope there are no hard feelings.
No, of course there are no hard feelings. I hope you don't have any hard feelings either. I just wanted to voice my disagreement. But it's all behind us now. It's all good. And I'm happy to be out of WOV Jail. By the way, I saw MDawg while I was in there. They had him working behind the food line, wearing a hair net, and serving the scrambled eggs.

I did have a hair in my scrambled eggs the other day, when I visited the WoV jail. That's why I instituted the hair net policy.

That was a very Dark Oz
Quote: WizardI agree that it is a shame that I had to close it. However, it would be too hard to police it. Like a mob of jaywalking tourists on the Strip, once one person make a political comment, everybody else does the same, like lemmings.
Personal insult to lemmings. Suspension pending.
