I believe that would be JB, an administrator and member. (Could be someone else, depending on the issue ). I'll give you a Mulligan on the insult as I believe you're speaking rhetorically out of frustration, in order to hear a coherent and specific complaint and hopefully resolve it.

That next posting would, ideally, include an apology for the personal nature of the title and starting post of the thread.

I actually like the interface of this site. I didn't like it at first when it was changed earlier in the year - I guess I'm resistant to change like almost everyone else. But I've grown to like the appearance and functionality. IMO, its certainly better than a certain other Vegas forum site.

I've got no problem with the interface, and what's more, I've seen the management here work to make fixes/tweaks/changes that users have requested. And that's pretty cool.

If you don't like an aspect of the website, make a suggestion on how to improve it. It might just get implemented.

I can't help it, this response cracked me up.

I made the original "90s style" template (still in use at DT) but cannot take credit for the current modern template.

I'm interested to hear what you think is wrong with it. It works pretty much the same as most forums out there, except it has some extra features (made possible by the fact that it was commissioned from scratch, rather than being off-the-shelf software). I'm pretty sure most other forum software doesn't have BBcode that lets you embed YouTube videos, choose the background & foreground colors, insert tables, and include spoiler buttons.

Every other forum I post at lets you embed YouTubes. The table thing is different vs. other forums, but I beat myself over the head to actually format a table here (and I'm probably in the top 10 members in terms of tables made here...), it's rough even with a "Find/Replace" function in a word processor before posting. 2+2 poker also has spoiler buttons. And I think this forum is incompatible with Tapatalk, which I am now terribly used to on my phone now for the other forums I post at.

JB is a God, no doubt, especially when it comes to VP. I use his tools all the time and cannot thank him enough for that. If he did all the legwork for this forum's software, it's still very impressive. But I've personally have never been a huge fan of this forum's formatting vs. the other forums I post at (which probably use code created by several). Sorry JB.

You mean you don't use my table maker at http://miplet.net/table/ ? Just copy and paste from Excel. Make sure there is no extra return at the end.

I think the forum would be a lot better if you could enable the QUICK REPLY BOX at the bottom of each page. That way you can look at multiple posts while writing a response, since sometimes ya wanna quote several different posts.
And going back & forth between reply / edit / the post you wanna reply to & hit copy/paste etc, takes forever and is annoying.
Also let us use HTML or PHP code in posts. That'd be fun:)

How about being able to post images, use bold or italics, and other rudimentary features?

I know you can look these things up and do it manually, but that's a pain. I've never seen another forum that doesn't let you post images with a click.

Looks like the clock ran out on your apology, though I was still waiting (another mod suspended you). Perhaps when you return, you might be specific and polite about your issue?

From my short time here, the format is fairly easy to navigate, but I've noticed the fundamentals and dearth of personal preference settings is sparse. One thing in prefs that I would like to see, is a choice of setting post viewing order.
I've gotten used to the freshest post at the top of the thread.

I think it's the basic setup used when first designed and perhaps the coding wasn't there or allowed with this forum module that allows auto refresh, personalized settings, actual separate page for message input, then added to the thread view. Perhaps things just weren't available when first done and now the extra stress and space on the servers to implement do dads and extras are too much. Or just not deemed high enough interest to the owners now.

I don't think it's anyone fault in design and for how this site is utilized appears to be working well.

The people running this site never said anything about being in competition to make millions, but to be a leader in a place to get legit information and knowledge in a friendly atmosphere. I think that works here very well.

WoV isn't shoving ads down our throats, but I have ad blockers on, so I don't know all that.

One other little thing...I know now to quote so people know who I was posting to, but maybe consider "In reply to:" bug show up in a reply to that person? There doesn't seem to be any auto acknowledgement who you post to.

Just a thought. Maybe I'll turn off all blocking and see what the site really does before adding any more perhaps incorrect comments.
