There's different things on ads that influence whether you click on them or not. For example this site has online gambling sites that collect a referral fee of some sort for every person that signs up, and deposits on the account. Other places have ads for books on amazon.com or whatever product it is you are most likely to buy based on your browsing history.

I've run across everything from the ads on this site (very tasteful, non-intrusive) to google search sites that have the crappy template with the secret to beating baccarat or some nonsense like that, when I searched "baccarat dead chips" or something of that nature where I'm actually trying to find information on. These sites usually have a crappy PDF explaining their system, and then an affiliate link to an online casino.

Looking back in the past few years I really can't think of any particular item I've bought through an advertisement, unless it was some new burger at McDonald's or something. I used to play a lot of video games but never bought a game just because of a commercial. Advertisements do the opposite effect of what it's supposed to do for me, if I'm bombarded with a youtube video about a Taylor Swift album I"ll make it a point to never buy her album, especially if I was trying to watch a video and the ad loaded itself before.

Actually now looking back the only thing I've bought because of advertising is Sensodyne toothpaste since I have sensitive teeth, but toothpaste is such a small part of my budget it's not a big factor, such as a Ford truck or a Playstation 4.

As for online casinos, seeing as there are casinos throughout the US, unless you live hours away or are extremely busy what is the draw of online casinos? Why casino A as opposed to casino B? When I played poker online I preferred Pokerstars to Full Tilt because PS had better rakeback, with different levels paying out more.

Also does sex still sell nowadays? If I made this thread, "NSFW Naked chicks washing cars" you would click more but be dissapointed if you saw this exact thread, and probably never click anything I posted. If you saw a commercial with girls drinking a certain brand of beer, would you buy that brand, or just watch the commercial and not touch the stuff?

I don't click on lots of ads but sometimes I will.

Those "tracker" ads out there that we all hate I have actually clicked on. One for a bird control product I used to use but forgot the name of. Another for razor blades because I am tired of paying $4 a blade.

So I say the ad has to be relevant to me first and foremost. The message must be clear. And I have to be in the mood and have the time at the time.

What ads? I use an ad-blocking app. But here, where there are no third-party ads, those can be seen. Thats fair.

I don't click on ads for siteX dot com, but I might go to siteX dot com on a fresh log-on to web. One NEVER knows just who (or what) the affiliate is getting click-revenue.
Some people need to reimagine their thinking.
