That is a bit unusual.
But, I feel pretty bad ass riding past parked cars with frost accumulated on them :).

Quote: JW17Yeah it was really cold here in Scottsdale today like high of 55. I dont live in AZ for weather like this!
I hear that! I wasn't going to weigh in because I didn't want to sound like a cry baby, BUT...high in the low 40's here in Vegas today. More of the same next two days and then it gets worse, high of 37 and 39 forcast for Sunday and Monday. This is not the Vegas that I signed up for. This is the coldest stretch in my 4 years of living here. And I couldn't wait to get back from my trip east to this crap. I might as well of stayed in Pa for another week.

I hate Vegas when it's that cold. The wind is
always blowing there's so much walking you
have to do. I might be there next month, I
hope it's in the 60's.
It's getting extremely hard to get outta bed in the morning/afternoon. Even worse my cold doesn't seem to get better so I am slacking on my workouts.
Quote: beachbumbabsIt was 76 here today, sunny, breezy. My favorite kind of day.
I have a friend who was sentenced to live in
central FL in the 70's. He was miserable. He
said in the summer you run from your house
to the car, and from your car to everyplace
else your going. The humidity is so oppressive
he thought he was dying sometimes. He was
finally given a parole by his company after 3
years. He still says it was the worst period of
his life. Hemingway lived in FL for 10 years,
but not in the summer. Mostly he lived on a ranch
in MT or traveled, he couldn't take the FL heat.
Quote: djatcSeriously I never thought it would get this cold in Las Vegas. It's getting extremely hard to get outta bed in the morning/afternoon.
Get out of bed? It makes t hard to get out of the hot tub. Lol.
Me too. Thank god it's dry with relatively little wind. Makes it a bit easier.Quote: djatcSeriously I never thought it would get this cold in Las Vegas.
Florida is beautiful, but the humidity makes it a non-option for me. I don't see how people can tolerate that kind of humidity.Quote: EvenBobI have a friend who was sentenced to live in

You got it good kewlj :) I have to run over to PH to get my gym/hot tub fix.
Quote: djatcSeriously I never thought it would get this cold in Las Vegas. I thought I left the snow and chills back in Seattle.

I was in LV one year and it snowed the day I left. The snow was so wet and heavy it took a bunch of power lines down. Shut the town down. I know it was in February
SO the 30's is better than that.......I guess. LOL
*facepalm*
good part is 6 days after I get back I will be boarding a non-stop to Vegas where 30*F will seem like summer

Yet it IS warmer in Las Vegas than Seattle. Mrs. Dice and I are heading to the warmer Las Vegas temperatures today. Note I say "warmer," not "less cold" because I want to be in a frame of mind that I'm going to relax and have fun and not have to think about how many layers to wear. I know it's not quite shorts and tee-shirt weather there, but we'll spend most of our time indoors where it will probably be uncomfortably warm anyway.
Quote: newshooterIt's so freaking cold here that, on the way home from work, I saw three dogs stuck to fire hydrants!
LOL

And now it's snowing. Sheesh.

You think that's cold? I'm looking out the window and I see a cat whose tongue is stuck to its ass.........
Quote: steeldcoYou think that's cold? I'm looking out the window and I see a cat whose tongue is stuck to its ass.........
Maybe to GW scientists should count the number of cats with their tongues stuck to their asses. Is the number going up or down?
Quote: steeldcoThe ratio of cats whose tongue is stuck to their ass to cats whose tongue is not stuck to their ass is a material component in determining whether there is indeed global warming. Those cats closest to the South Pole are seemingly able to lick their asses without a problem while those cats closest to the North Pole are refusing to clean themselves. To sum it up, the jury is still out on global warming.
Maybe if the GW scientists would include the number of dogs stuck to fire hydrants on top of the cat/ass problem in their studies we could end the debate once and for all.

Here's the deal in Las Vegas: Cold as hell anywhere but a casino
Ridiculously hot in casinos. Something about all the seniors freezing to death. Except for areas with 100%+ games. Nobody cares about those fleas :)
Quote: IbeatyouracesThe comedian Gallagher once said they should come out with "butt flavored cat food."
I never really much cared for Gallagher, but that is funny!
Quote: treetopbuddyCan you imagine how cold it would be if not for global warming?
Yeah man. Thank goodness for global warming, otherwise my nut sack would be a block of ice.

And here I thought the nut sack chillout was the low point of this thread.... :)

A video for proof would be nice. If I made cyber bets,
I'd bet you can't get a pic of actual steam. Using dry
ice not allowed.
Caeser's had some hovercraft conception where you can take it into the water, mud, etc and it was a golf cart of some sort. Only costs 16 million points, which is equivalent to $160 milllion coin in. Anyone wanna split the cost on this bad boy?
Neoteric Hovercraft

Yeah, but the cat actually likes it
Once he gets his ass thawed out he'll probably still come in to pooh.
You watch it will be doing the same thing in the spring.
Quote: wrobersonIt's so cold, KC has become undependable again and I'm looking at a $500 per week raise. I urged caution. As someone is gong t be destroyed. It's how I should expect to be treated if I became undependable and unreliable vs the way I want to be treated. Christmas may save his butt. You know KC. I can only offer a white version of this type of person wh would be a constant risk to DUI while working.

Whoa...I'm confused

This just cracks me up...the things people on this board will gamble about...
Anyway the confusion, excitement, provided a needed adrenaline rush.
I handled the heavy traffic well. Not my normal work day.

Did a coworker (who you referred to as KC) call in? The other post you made was confusing to read without background info.
