The dealer's actions with other customers do influence my tips. There was a shooter who tossed the dice about nine feet high or so and she was continually warned about it. Instead of just calling "no roll" and "pass the dice" when she failed to listen, the crew openly rooted against her. They cross-talked about her and turned me off. I actually had colored up at this point and was waiting for my chips to be pushed back. It was something that was $10 over an even number and my intention was to play a five dollar horn for "both of us"...when she rolled seven and my chips came to me, I told them that hey had lost their tip.
Dealers are in the entertainment business and so many of them screw themselves out of potential tips by being snarky, smart-assed, or stupid. You just have to deal with people who annoy you and move on. People do it everyday.
What do you think about Ahigh's comment at the craps table to his detractor?

Dice setters must really hate it when the hoi polloi comment on their seeming inability to do that which they profess to be able to do.
Sort of like the guy who brags about his prowess to his date, then can't perform.

yesterday, goes to 6-8 casinos, eats a comped lobster
dinner, plays some more, wins almost nothing, and
goes home after midnight. All in the name of 'craps research'.
And he does this all the time.
My wife would murder me in my sleep is I was out having
all this fun on a regular basis while she sat at home
whistling Dixie. She would say, 'you want to be single? I
can arrange that.' And she would too. So my hats off to
Ahigh, I finally figured out what you're doing, you're having

Once again, some of us seem to have reading comprehension problems -- I didn't characterized middle school lunchroom girls in any way, nor did I make any generalizations about them, positive or negative. I simply made a statement regarding their location: "It appears that the middle school lunchroom girls are back..." Any other meaning that you that you got from such a statement is a product of your childish minds.

Actually, I have found only one true bigot on this forum.
There is an easy test as to whether or not a remark is bigoted. I have mentioned a version of this test in an earlier post in another thread. The test is simple: before making a comment about a racial/ethnic group, imagine speaking in front of about 25 members of that group somberly seated and listening to you. If you could make that remark in front of that group, then the remark it probably is not bigoted.

Ahigh, since you're still interested in craps, I'm curious about your recent craps sessions. I've seen a lot more warnings from craps dealers/boxmen about hitting the back wall recently. It's been very noticeable (in my experience, at least) pretty much everywhere I've gone. At Texas Station a couple weeks ago, they even took the dice away from a guy.
Have you noticed such a crackdown as well?

Dude, you should have said something to me downtown last night if you saw me. I'm still not really here heart and soul. I'll talk craps on my forum. This forum seems to be more set up for just straight drama.

Anyway, Ahigh told me that I should have said something to him when I saw him downtown, but I'm wary. He seems like a good guy and all, but I definitely don't want to attract any unnecessary attention from casino personnel by being seen with him. I like to keep a low profile. The funny thing is that he twists it to make it sound like he's being sent packing because of his craps skills. The fact is he argues with employees, challenges other customers to fights, causes a scene, brags about himself and makes people jobs difficult by stalling and going into the bathroom when he's asked to leave. They all know they will take his money and it's still not worth it to them to have him around. He's making a fool of himself and it's just another progression towards his meltdown. It won't be long until his employer starts hearing about him...

Yeah, that's the sad part of it all. Ahigh is a smart guy, yet I find it mind-boggling how he doesn't even realize that this sort of behavior rubs people the wrong way. I mean, when you're asked to leave a place of business, who the hell goes to the restroom and takes a 15-minute dump??

He's quality assurance, criticizing the casino staff to try and make them better.
He's a player advocate who loves to influence the dice to allow all the other people on the table to win, while he places a nominal wager, not caring if he wins that much.
And he's head of maintenance, complaining about flickering lights and dice used for longer than he likes.
All the staff's used to love him so much that they would ask him questions and greet him by name when he arrived, but now everyone has turned on him and he's been asked to leave multiple casinos, even though de wasn't winning. Hmmmm.

He is not particularly "intimidating" in real life; had you deigned to attend, that would have been readily apparent.
To my mind, he's basically just an "average dude," so far as personal appearance and demeanor.
We basically ignored one another, which is what I'd intended: no animated discussions about dice setting, that's for sure.
Of course, me being taller and bigger than Ahigh, well, maybe that intimidated him a little bit.
