I was browsing the Online Las Vegas Sun newspaper and found out the show closed last week.
Wow, shocked.
There are a few Vegas shows I want to see and this was at the top of my list.
I was hoping to catch this show on my next trip in Sep.
It got great reviews.
I heard its kind of offbeat and weird but stuff like that appeals to me if done right.
Sad its closed. I heard it was a decision based simply on the bottom line due to new owners of the Cosmo.
Cost exceeded revenue despite great attendance.
Anybody hear if another property is considering picking up this show?

Nothing official, but the rumor mill says its going to SLS.
I invented a few casino games. Info: http://www.DaveMillerGaming.com/ ————————————————————————————————————— Superstitions are silly, childish, irrational rituals, born out of fear of the unknown. But how much does it cost to knock on wood? 😁

In spite of all the great reviews, Rose Rabbit Lie was struggling with sales. At least that is the Cosmo spin from my host. The DLS rumors seem to be true. Still have Absinthe at CP for similar shows. And who doesnt love Penny?

For all the not-locals, there was a write-up in the Weekly that mentions this, and that a merkin might, in part, be responsible. It may be less about revenues and more about a backing-off of Cosmo's new owners not wanting to tempt the regulation. The article does a pretty good job of going into who's held responsible on that front.

I can see how different owners might have different appetites for approaching that line. I'm not saying this was a major factor in the new Cosmo owner's decision, but I definitely get a different "vibe" from them, in the form of advertising slot tourneys (which I can't recall them ever doing before).

Pity. Cosmo definitely added to the sexy. Maybe SLS is planning on stepping in, in fact, I'd make that my best guess.

Never heard of a merkin.
So I looked it up, here's the straight dope. Very interesting.

I think that would be a great move by the SLS. I have a feeling they may struggle a bit after the luster of the grand opening has worn off. Having a well reviewed edgy show different then what most of the other properties offer should help. Longterm it may be in good shape if Fountainblue finds an investor and that future big resorts project gets going accross from the Wynn. Otherwise it could get tough with less foot traffic on the northern strip. They do have the monorail stop but the system is under utilized. If the future monorail project extension gets built to connect to the airport, that would really help.

I may be proven wrong but everything you say may help them is a reach until perhaps Genting opens. No one is buying Fountainblu other than scrap buyers. The monorail is not going to help because no one rides it. Unless the club kids see it as a must be seen place, SLS is going to struggle. Only hope is they come up at Bob Stupek style promotion to get naive tourists to stay there. The strat struggles with $29 rooms during the week.

But you did say all of what I posted so we are on the same page
