Phil Ruffin - Circus/Slots o Fun

Looks like the way is cleared for Phil Ruffin to take Circus Circus and Slot o Fun from MGM. I'm thinking this has got to be a big improvement no matter how you look at it. Especially since MGM sucks. Ruffin's an interesting man. More interesting than MGM's bean counters.

It's a huge piece of property that has been unloved for quite some time. I wonder if he plans to really commit all the capital required to bring it up to snuff, or if he is planning to flip it like the Frontier, or cut it up and sell it a chunk at a time?

Ruffin did say he would close the RV park and put in a huge swimming pool on the Circus property where the RV park sits.

Bring back the Pick'em machines to Slots o Fun. lol

Relatively speaking, Circus Circus was an absolute cash cow for MGM. Their profit margins were extremely high as it relates to their other properties. Cheap to run, brings in money. Ruffin loved the fact that there is big land and it was generating big profits related to cost.

Place is a dump....to a businessman, he understands one thing. Cash cow.

They did release some plans for a new sand pool and other upgrades. Rooms will likely stay as is. Slots o fun will get renovated. RV Park is to go. Land has huge value to him.

It was probably all the customers from the the RV park that were generating all the profits for the casino.

If they turn it into a higher-end place where all the Mexicans go? Do other casinos allow 12 family members per room? They should probably leave well enough alone making one peso at a time.
