This part of town is my stomping ground. Although you're unlikely to see me shopping, if you do, please say "hello."
The sidewalk and crosswalk connectivity along the Sahara side's parking lots is very poor. One side of the road has no crosswalk across the entrance from Sahara. The sidewalk on the other side does not extend from one side to the other. You either have to walk through a pile of rocks or through cactus to get from one side to the other.
Quote: PokeraddictThey don't have bike racks in logical places, like actually outside the restaurants...
At least I'm not the only one annoyed by the lack of bike racks in Vegas. I must admit I drove to DT Summerlin, as I had Mrs. Wizard with me. When I can't find a bike rack I'll usually use the first convenient tree I find.
I agree it would be nice if there was easy access from the Beltway bike trail.
Has your daughter picked a college?

This doesn't surprise me with the beginning of the report. It does look like a nice place though! Not tons of other people there though...
Quote: AyecarumbaI know a lot of folks that love 5 Guys burgers. I prefer Smashburger.
I assume the ones that prefer 5 Guys over Smashburger either:
1) Never tried Smashburger. And in Vegas you can get this beer at Smashburger for $3.50 (at the Premium Outlets -South location). A steal if you like Double/Imperial IPAs (bar retail is close to double this)!
2) Love 5 Guys cajun fries. These really can't be beat.

And if you never tried Joseph James "Baby J's German Chocolate Cake Stout" you are missing perhaps the best beer brewed in Nevada.
Hes a future Miata owner for sure.Quote: WizardCheck out the kid with the black shirt in the background at the opening of Downtown Summerlin. Wish I could dance like that. I'd settle for 5% as well.
