Hey, intelligent conversation can be stimulating, but all too often is BORING. Not so with a certain poster. And right, wrong, and seldom indifferent, you always knew where he stood. The same can not be said for most !

Gee, this might seem like heresy. But I believe there is life after WOV. I am sure Bob is having fun somewhere else.

Just as sure that his name is not even Bob.

I wonder if it is pride that is keeping him away or embarrassment?

Or maybe he makes a good amount of money and is to busy trying to hide it before Obama gets the GOP to cave into his greedy call that the "Rich" pay more in taxes.

I don't read the political discussions, but I don't think I ever agreed with Bob on anything. He even took a position against pizza. That is tough to replace.

But he did raise some valid points about pizza. Just because you did not agree , that does not make them valueless.

I think that 98steps left for the same reason -- embarrassment. He probably busted out his bankroll and was too ashamed to admit it. Hopefully he learned that systems don't work in the long run, but I'd lay good odds he is at work developing a new and improved system.

"Shill" typically refers to someone who purposely gives onlookers the impression that he is an enthusiastic independent customer of a seller (or marketer of ideas) for whom he is secretly working. The person or group who hires the shill is using crowd psychology, to encourage other onlookers or audience members to purchase the goods or services (or accept the ideas being marketed). Shills are often employed by professional marketing campaigns

Worry not. EB's alive and well, still posting as of today, just not here.

My personal opinion is that I kinda think he's done with WoV. He's a Roulette guy, and claiming to win Roulette's never been accepted here. Other than that, he was always stirring up conversation about many different things, but that's been lightly forbidden as of late. If no one wants to talk about your game of choice, you're not "allowed" to talk about what you want, and the other site doesn't yet have the crowd to make a good, long conversation, you move on.

I think he moved on. Damn shame, too. He was one of my favorite posters and I miss him already.

I say good riddance. This person was nothing more than an internet bully. I say that not because I have a different political view than him, I say it because his whole agenda was to be confrontational and combative. If you said the sky is blue, he would say, no it's green. If you then said, you are right, it is green, he would then switch and say it was blue. He would push people, insulting them and putting them down, but doing so in a way to circumvent the rules of the site. He actually boasted about this in a post.

He made all these grand and glorious statements, more than predictions, guarantees, and when proven wrong, rather than stand up like a man, he took the path of the bully and scampered home to hide. (if I can't win, I am not going to play) Again, I say good riddance. But in reality, I suspect he isn't gone at all, just cowering in the corner. He is reading the site, either anonymously or posting under a new name, that we haven't yet recognized. So EB, this is for you. :)

No I don't think I was being a little tough on Bob. I like Bob. Disagree with just about everything he says and stands for politically, but on many other topics I enjoy his posts and am sure I have learned some things from him.

He participated in the political discussions and quite forcefully I might add, insisting things he was saying and/or felt were fact, more than just his opinion. Many friendly little discussion involved. I thought it was really "crappy" of him to just disappear and say oh I don't want to play anymore when things didn't go his way and he was proven wrong. It was very 3rd grade of him. And now he has resurfaced and wants to participate again, which is fine. He has made it clear he won't comment on the past discussions and I still think that is "crappy" of him. And while I have lost respect for him, I am respecting that decision, so I haven't brought it up. I have moved on. Even sent him a message welcoming him back.
