I agree, I lost all respect for him when I read that post. I hope he goes and cuddles with JJ and just stays away from this site.
Quote: SonuvabishI just went and read that. I'd side with Ahigh on that one, he was just trying to get Z to leave him alone; unless he actually did it, then it's a different story. Z did not feel his job was sufficiently threatened to not immediately post a barbed response. EB was 'not trolling' him too.
The threat could be perceived as kinda chicken, man.

There's no need to post it. You just go and do it. Or not. Talking about ignoring someone seems like punching yourself in the face and blaming someone else for your broken nose.
Quote: AxelWolfI was shocked when I seen that, I thought for sure I was about to see red.
Certainly a fat suspension was due.
Messing with peoples personal/professional life shouldn't be tolerated.
Not sure why Ahigh has not asked the Mods to step in and personally ask Zcore to refrain from addressing him. How many times does someone have to be asked to be left alone?
Agreed. But since he banned himself for 60 days, I'm okay with that too.
Quote: thecesspitThere's no need to post it. You just go and do it. Or not. Talking about ignoring someone seems like punching yourself in the face and blaming someone else for your broken nose.
Disagree. He could have not posted anything then went and done it. That would have been worse and less cool. Chicken maybe, but I really think he wanted him off his back.
Quote: FaceThere are few open questions, most notably by 1BB and RonC. I'll do my best to address some of the things I've seen lately to hopefully clear some things up.
Regarding any hierarchy, I've been working on assumption. Zuga now owns this place, so I look at him as top dog. Wiz is also apparently employed by him, and is still the sole owner of DT (where I am very active). As such, I still look at Wiz as "above me". My view of this hierarchy hasn't changed anything, as neither has directed me to do anything different, nor has either challenged me on anything I've done. Behind the scenes, we've each always worked pretty autonomously. On that front, not a single thing has yet changed and it's so far, from my position, a rather pointless detail.
Regarding the rules of WoV, I spoke to Zuga approx a week after the sale. He stated that he had no plans to change things and was taking time to get situated and familiar with the characters present. I, and I assume all the mods, were told that nothing in the rules was changing and to carry on doing what we were doing.
On the topic of the WoV bans still carrying over to DT, I was told by the Wiz that the rule would remain in place. I suppose that makes sense, as all the rules for both sites are still "his", and he chooses not to allow it. Personally, I don't see the problem as it makes total sense. Of course, as always, I'd accept any change that's made in the future. In short, it's completely Wiz's decision, and he's so far stated there will be no change.
RonC, as far as I know, you are on no leash. Your suspension (or lack thereof) on DT is on me. I never peep here to see who got nicked and then run over to DT to make sure they're gone from there, too. The same happened to HB, to Buzz, to Terapined... I just don't do it, and it doesn't appear Wiz is in a hurry to do it either. If you're banned here you're supposed to be banned there. For those who have posted there while under a ban, no further punishment has ever come. I usually just apologize for the oversight and take care of it upon noticing.
I know there were a few questions I'm missing, but I couldn't track them down. Feel free to ask now that you've got my attention =)
Thanks, Face. We can always count on your non judgmental and unbiased responses.

"I'm gonna tell teacher" is weak sauce.
Quote: thecesspit"I'm gonna tell teacher" is weak sauce.
That coupled to the fact that some teachers play favorites doesn't give many a fighting chance, while simultaneously giving others the incentive to "tattle". BUT, we all have different rules in which we judge and carry ourselves-none necessarily "righter" or "wronger" than others. C'est la vie, oui?

I know Ahigh did a self-suspension, but that's just that, a self-suspension on his own accord, not a punishment.
he can delete the post. Here is the damning
part in case he does:
I don't like it, and I want it to stop.
Immediately.
My next step is to address Larry McGuire in your human resources department about this problem.
This thread is in the Kiosk forum and is specifically related to my business. This thread was approved by the Wizard and is intended to promote my business.
You are seemingly attempting to discredit me as a professional in my industry.
I do take this VERY seriously.
You should step back and consider the consequences of your actions before taking further actions.
Quote: RonCAs far as having to "self-report" my suspension, my point was that DT is very different from WofV and carrying over suspensions is not really necessary. If someone "goes off" about something that happens on the other board and "needs" suspended, so be it. I only used the "self-report" part (which others did also) to help point out how little importance is already placed on the carry-over rules...
The "leash" part was simply saying if you see someone in red here, they can be placed on a short leash there...don't talk about the other board or your suspended here, too.
I understand now re: the "leash".
Again, I'm neither for or against anything regard a look at the rules, but let me play devil's advocate. If Wiz made rules here and deemed them good enough for a straight port to DT, and someone crossed the rules here that landed them in the clink, why would he feel the need to grant clemency over there? I would suppose that if you got banned in Caeser's Showboat, you'd be banned at all Caeser's properties. If Caeser's then sold Showboat, would the ban expire? I don't know, but I don't understand why it would.
Just thinking out loud here. I have no say in the end, and perhaps should stop speaking for Wiz on this matter.

No problem. Here if you need something =)
Let's just hope that the casino suits have a better opinion of the NTEK pinball game than do Aaron's legion of critics; I need casinos to buy it and for the stock to soar, as it tanked once Aaron joined that band of merry pranksters.
In hindsight, Aaron knew that many posters here have him in their crosshairs and are just waiting for a misstep; why then would he start the thread asking for feedback, and then self-destruct when the piling on got underway?
Did he really think all would be forgotten, and that we'd all sit around the fire singing old camp songs?
Hello, lightning rod!

Ahigh's biggest problem is he thinks he's a
'somebody' and nobody here treats him
like one. Quite the opposite in fact.
Remember last year during the 'dice wars'
when Ahigh said he was disappointed he
wasn't given the red carpet treatment when
he joined the forum? That he was every bit
as big a celeb as the Wiz?
It's unchecked hubris on display.
Not sure if Ahigh has some filters missing or some mild form of asperger's, bipolar or just extremely emotional. Something is on overdrive or missing. How it is he cannot see this is beyond me.
Perhaps that's why he is good at his job.
No matter how misguided you think his pinball vision is, its amazing how far he went with it already, in a short time. Not many people have even come close to something like this.
I cannot imagine this will end up on the trash heap. They may need to go online as well, I believe many online casinos would love this.

Sure they have. History is loaded with people
who sank their life savings into something they
just knew was going to be huge, and it laid
a big stinky egg. Ahigh thinks the public is
just dying for these kinds of games in casinos.
But they're not. The average casino goer is just
too old to care about interactive games. Ahigh
loves them, so he thinks everybody will. As Zcore
pointed out, he's not even in the casino industry.
How does he know what they want or don't want.
Look what Dan did. He was in the business, had
an idea for simplifying an already existing game,
and it went over great. Introducing totally new
concepts to the public is never easy. Consider
the Segway. It was supposed to change the
world of transportation and it went nowhere.
Ahigh says he used his own money, has it all
tied up in this. Big mistake, never use your own
cash. Even Rockefeller never used his own money,
he always got investors, even before he was rich.
He was right, let people who can afford it take
the risk, so you can go on to fight another day.

This is exactly why he spazzed out. You cannot leave him alone. He apparently did not care so much about you,, but bout Z. Yeah, he's a bit of a loon to say what he said. So what? Does anyone believe he was going to do it? Does anyone care, I don't. Z didn't even appear to care. Some crazy guy circulates letters about me that seriously threaten my finances or career, I sue him. I don't chat up my girlfriends bout how much of a loser he is, and hope he finds out what everyone thinks. Do I give further incentive to an angry person to act irrationally, who's technically done nothing wrong at this point by expressing an idea, and treat him like a Muslim...I mean terrorist? No. He was legitimately trying to demonstrate his insistence he felt more than annoyed, and wished it to stop. As you continue insisting he ought to have been nuked on the spot, don't you think that would increase the probability the threat would be carried out? It seems like everyone thinks that saying to someone "im gonna kill you, hehehe' is worse than murdering that same someone.

I'm on Ahigh's side. The nattering nabobs of negativism are just that, nattering nabab's. I would do much worse than Ahigh. The offender would get his ass kicked. Comments like little old ladies won't play it so it won't go are dumb. Next time you are in a sports book count up the little old ladies. You are most likely going to come up with zero.

At this point I don't know. Aside from DI, I think Ahigh is a pretty intelligent guy. No one really knows how well his game will do. I just know this. "Can't" never did do a damn thing.

I think he has a high IQ, his EQ (emotional quotient) on the other hand seems to be a hinderance. Before anyone quickly discards the validity of EQ's, read about it-quite interesting stuff.
Are women more emotional than men? If so, could you imagine dealing with a man who interjects his methods of reason with emotion? It's as confusing as tuning into your favorite classic rock station and hearing the theme song from Yentl playing, over and over and over and...

The pertinent question is: Are you surprised by his decision to leave for (2) months, regardless of the motivation to do so?

It is, and there have been suspensions from comments in this thread, many times. Was there something in particular you wanted to resurrect or point out?
Quote: MaxSwelleThe pertinent question is: Are you surprised by his decision to leave for (2) months, regardless of the motivation to do so?
My guess would be they have a deadline fast approaching, and since he wasn't getting the type of feedback he was looking for, he decided to force himself to stay away, with a 60 day timeout.
