StevenZ is Suspended for three days for Personal Insult as a result of this post:

Stevenz's sole purpose for joining this forum seems to be to harass and insult another member and it's been allowed far too long. Read his six posts. They're all directed at EvenBob and it's becoming creepy. He uses the terms "gutless" or "no guts" in five of them, screams "LOSER" in another and in still another dares the powers to be to ban him.
I'll bet he can't wait to return and pick up where he left off. He adds so much to the forum.

Seems a bit harsh to get nuked solely for double posting, but then again Harley chose to attack the Wiz on the Wiz's own forum, with predictable results.

Yep, I let the first post insulting me slide, however my fuse with him was admittedly cut very short. However, when he made the exact same post three days later I saw no reason to show any compassion and just nuked him.
When considering a punishment I also consider the overall value of the member to the site. The value was very negative in the case of Harley. Ranting and raving about a loaded dice conspiracy is not something I'm proud to have on the site. Then again, maybe I'm in on it.

I think the nuclear option is a weak action because it seems to be selectively prosecuted based on his beliefs. On the other hand, if there is any merit to his beliefs, he does not need anyone's approval to investigate them or a pat on the back. He was stupid and incorrect to personally attack the Wizard. Though, I think should have resulted in a lengthy ban, but not permanent based on usual protocols here. Harley should try to better distinguish between fact, suspected facts, opinions, etc. in the future no matter where he is writing, speaking, or posting. It makes a big difference and I would not rely on a signature to do this.

I personally consider Harley a good friend of mine regardless of any kooky conspiracy theories, and I know for a fact that he's not terribly upset about the ban.
He takes the poking and prodding he gets much less personally than the Wizard as evidenced from the ban.
But I can also appreciate the Wizard's position on wanting to control the TYPE of content on his forum to be centered more on edges and math than politics and how dice behave in a microwave (among other unusual topics that Harley gets interested in).
Both Harley and the Wizard actually have more similarities to one another than I think either one of them realizes. They are, generally speaking, at polar opposite ends of the spectrum is all.
But both of these guys are each equally rejecting of each others' primary focus as being as important as the other thinks.

Well EB, even though he has given us no proof of a casino knowingly inserting hinky dice, it is now understood that certain casinos, in cost cutting moves, are using cheap dice that my not be on the up and up. For that alone, he has added to the board.

Interesting situation, I admit. Restricted user but no mention of anything in the suspension list. Only two posts from Paco showing for today, and both seem innocent enough. No blog posts in almost two years. No way to know of what could have been in a PM nor of any activity that might have been deleted from the site. I haven't a clue.

Ho-kay, what became of Lexinger? None of his recent posts seem especially standoffish... one post he's arguing with the Wizard about whether men can be monogamous, but he doesn't come off as especially rude...
The trick to poker is learning not to beat yourself up for your mistakes too much, and certainly not too little, but just the right amount.

Nope. Half his posts were thinly veiled insults of me. The other half were incoherent ramblings. There is no one smoking gun post, but looking at the body of his posts, finding not a single good one by the way, I feel the site is better off without him. It is for people like lex that the nuclear option is there to begin with.
