What the Wizard is saying "...so no longer has insult protection..." is that, at the time MaxPen made the personal insult, seriouslyfunny was showing as a member in good standing. The insult is not negated by subsequent events.
Not sure what the explanation was at the time, but troll is considered an insult if the member hasn't gone down for it yet, is the way I understood it.
You can, AFAIK, suggest someone is trolling, but calling them a troll will bring the hammer.

Your understanding is correct. The alleged troll was a member in good standing at the time the insult was made. I will say that was one suspension I hated to make, but I must respect my own rules.
It should also be noted that we rarely nuke anybody for trolling. If we go down that road, then the whole site will turn into a witch hunt, or should I say troll hunt. Usually the trolls get themselves in trouble on other rules before too long anyway.
I've said this before too, but to those of you who devote almost every post to complaining about the forum and how it is policed, let me make a radical suggestion -- just leave.

Wizard -- why can't we nuke/suspend/etc. the "people whom I believe are trolls" here? What's the point in allowing someone to post if all they do is post negative stuff? Just to be "politically correct" or some BS and only suspend people for "real" violations? Nobody cares about them (I don't think)...

He's admitted it more than once on other sites. I could easily create another name and make it as if I were someone completely different talking about different subjects. Not hard.
Singer hasn't "trained" anyone and all of the positive reviews of his books are by Singer himself as other made up names.

Ahh, never seen it admitted, but don't pay that much attention to him now he's off this site.
I do have both his books, sent to me free of charge by Rob. The Truth is a pointless little pamphlet, while his tour of Nevada is an okay travelogue, that has been done far better by others. I dont doubt a lot of it is quite creatively written. I know he made up a lot of stuff about 'testing' vp machines... his method with German oscillioscopes had no basis in any facts he could relate... he was sure of the result but could not explain even on an abstract level his method.
He is an odious little twerp anyway.

I find a guy who, in my opinion, trashes the forum, erases over 5,000 posts and replies, and then comes back as if nothing happened six months down the road, well... a bit more than "highly entertaining". Aren't you that guy? How long must that have taken?

The one who gets the most/least from a forum is the user. Make of it what you will. There's nothing of substance to be gained by setting out and moderating an internet forum. All again, in my opinion of course.
I understand that what I put up today will have zero value to the forum tomorrow. In a month/year/decade from now, the same subject matter will once again grace the screen for others to attend to again. However, if I give it my best now, then it will play a part in my own tomorrow and become part of this "master plan". Something to look forward to as well. There are still by far more raw ideas left behind than that picked up on by the "one-trick ponies" online day and night.

Let me just apologize for not nuking BaccaratFrom79 for multiple accounts sooner. I checked throughout the day Saturday, including just before leaving work, and at any such times, neither he nor SeriouslyFunny had any Duplicate Accounts.

Face was also watching and had the same experience. It was a timing thing, I think, where he had several devices but kept them separate until he didn't. Nobody missed anything, really, it just happened that when I checked it, it had linked.

It's sad people will go on believing this BS and think they are getting legitimate advice. He set up the post in such a way no question can be asked that would out him as not being legitimate.
Whatever cant be researched or asked from a legitimate host. He will say, Sorry we cant divulge that information.
Never will this person say his name and casino and have it verified.
