The way I look at it's not even important who requests (I for instance) be suspended. It either holds up under the rules or it doesn't. I will fight about it (if I actually care) on that basis if I think's it's wrong, or I will lose if I am wrong.
The gamesmanship around suspensions and rule whinging is an unfortunate byproduct. Better when it’s not seen and doesn’t flood the board publicly, defeating the intent of the rules of a level of decorum that should be maintained.
Not pointing fingers at anyone in particular. Many are guilty on both sides.

I get that some of the folks here who do not remember who shot JR might think she is older. But seriously, she is like within 1-2 months of my age and looks real good there. To be honest I rather prefer that to some TikToker who I have socks older than.
She wasn't apparently sending me entertainment type videos but more along the lines of introspection, spiritual and financial growth type uplifting stuff, but still - I am glad I came up with a built in excuse for not viewing them. I am very organized and find time in a day for a prodigious amount of work and non-work, but looking at Tik Tok videos was not something I wanted to add to the list.

For the first 25 to 30 years of life, I never even thought about much less considered being like in the CIA. I don't even think I heard of the NSA at that time.
I think I would consider it though. Though I don't fancy the idea of sitting in a Russian prison waiting on a trade deal.

The leading topic is the WOV thread but it's really an in depth discussion of this particular thread.
Over 10k replies, mostly gripes about this site

Hopefully I won't get suspended for posting about another forum. I just found it and was entertained by the constant whining
Quite a few duplicate posts and threads which is really weird. The same exact complaints here end up there. Lots of duplicate whines. You actually find screen shots of this site on that site.
It's kind of a sewer as it's open season on insults over there :-)
A note for all the people over there complaining about this site over there yet still post here.

Yeah, I'll stay away from that forum. But I checked it today and my anti-virus didn't disconnect me so I'm free to lurk again.

In general, importing drama from other forums is suspension worthy, especially if the intent of the import is in fact to create drama.

In my opinion, what terapined posted did not import drama from another forum. He simply informed us of the existence of another forum and that current and past WOV members make posts in that forum discussing the suspensions here in WOV. That's not "importing drama" IMO.

Terapined actually referred to "follow the drama" and "the constant whining" at VCT, and then ChumpChange jumped on the wagon and quoted MDawg from VCT.
Both imported drama, and ChumpChange quoted MDawg directly.

I like to talk about taboo subjects, especially a subject involving me personally.

Probably get more for this but I don't care. Unlike some members, suspensions are overall meaningless to me.
The VCT whine site brought me to another site.
This is pretty much a one man board. A few other rare posters but in reality a one man board. Well Nathan occasionally posts there but that's not saying much. 😀
Somebody took a lot of time building this with lots and lots of threads similar to WOV but usually with just one post from just one person.
I found it fascinating in a bizarre way
A message board where one member is essentially talking to himself. Very very weird.
It's like those movies where I investigate a suspects place and see that I myself am obsessed about and am startled.
The site itself on the outside looks legit like it's inviting true stories posts
But looking in
The whole site is obviously in response to this thread and the members he has tangled with. No back and forth typical in populated forums. Just insult after insult by one person. Getting it out of his system?
To see a thread dedicated to me was bizarre to say the least. At least it's only a post or 2 in the thread.
A lot of threads dedicated to members here. Kind of disturbing the obsession. The multiple thread headings are our handles here. Not just discussing (well insulting really) members in a thread like VCT but singling out members for their own individual thread. That's obsession of the weird kind

I don't know if I should chuckle or be wary of a future stalking. Maybe a therapist recommended this to deal with suspensions. Some people just can't get over a meaningless suspension. VCT attests to that.

Reminds me of a youtuber years ago. His viral video was posted on the news. So he posted the news item discussing his video and then received a strike from YouTube for posting someone else's content. Which was his content being discussed on their content.
I think the news program backed down when THAT went viral.
Don't expect the same results in this situation.
