Hopefully the mods will forget about him and he never comes back.
He's already admitted multiple times he doesn't care what anyone says or thinks about his posts, and everything he does is for his own edification. He doesn't need a forum for that. He can just open a word document and type out all his ramblings to get the same effect, and the rest of us won't have to deal with him anymore. Everybody wins!

How many repeat confrontations do we have because people reverse the blocking mechanism?
You can put the lid on the casket, but you keep seeing the ghost. And the casket never gets buried in the ground. Too many people can't resist flipping the lid again and let out the corpse.

I agree that trolling can take the form of one member persistently harrassing another member, making the same points over and over again, to the degree that it becomes taunting. I had reviewed lilredrooster's posts when he made them, but decided not to take action because they were specifically about the content of EB's posts. However, this should not be interpreted as a license for anyone to call anyone's posts BS, crap or crapola in a taunting manner; in the future the ban-hammer might descend on you.

What will we do for the next 3 days?

We will treat it like a "coach's challenge" in the NFL. If a banning is warranted, it will be given. If not, a banning of a perceived victim may be made for making a false claim. (Added 8/17/2012)
- Flagging: The primary purpose of flagging is to rid the forum of spam but can also be used for other obvious rule violations. Flagging legitimate posts, for any reason, is not allowed. (Added 4/15/2016)

The punishment for violating these rules will be meted out on a case by case basis. Options include a warning, temporary ban, and permanent ban.

To me it seems more like EV was giving a "try to imagine how much I care" to a personal insult. Instead of running to the teacher he says "yeah, whatever, dude."
Very similar to when I got suspended for answering a loaded question with "have you stopped bearing your wife?" Instead of getting further into the muck you are saying you refuse to engage in an intellectual way.
More of an example of how to handle a personal insult than something to be suspended over but then again what do I know.

More of an example of how to handle a personal insult than something to be suspended over but then again what do I know.
