A song more suitable, about someone who just couldn't stay part of the band.
Quote: RigondeauxI thought something similar, though I'm not sure I've seen such a severe case since AOL. Said several weeks ago, he at least has symptoms of a personality disorder. Even when talking about some guy vulturing UX, every. single. word. is tearing someone else down to build himself up. It's human nature to do that here and there, but sweet Jesus.
Back in my college days we got the occasional "warning" about it. This was before online behavior was at all understood and in reality the powers that be didn't even believe we should have been posting discussions about anything other than computer science. Every semester we would get a crazy type. Rest of us had our allies and enemies of sorts, but it was just spirited discussion.
The "crazy" sort of fit a profile. Almost always male. Nah, always male. Usually either generally liberal in general or took one very far left issue to an extreme. Acted as though everything from a professor to the entire world was against them. Unable to make a point and would start personal attacks that went around in circles. Even people that shared their position on the political spectrum soon distanced themselves.
In fiction, two such characters are Ziggy from "The Wire" and Clayton Hughes from "Oz." In real life the Trench Coat Mafia from the Columbine shooting of the late 1990s. I'm not saying this guy is going to end up in a tragic situation, but don't expect better behavior after the suspension. If you work with such a type, keep your distance, they often end up being escorted out.
Unless my other thought is correct.
One must wonder how many life long bad beats he's had and who's currently kicking his ass and bullying him because almost everything that he writes is egotistically caustic.Quote: AZDuffmanBack in my college days we got the occasional "warning" about it. Totally acceptable, and accurate in regards to the deplorables.
I never noticed your tagline. I find it offensive since I'm a Trump supporter. It's one thing to perhaps say something less specific in general on time in a heated moment, but that's kinda nasty. People have been asked to take down much less including harmless avatars. Perhaps if it could be kept to the election thread where some leniency might be given, but that gets seen by everyone/ anyone including lurkers and new members.Quote: ams288Totally acceptable, and accurate in regards to the deplorables.

It's been there for months. Maybe pay closer attention and whine in a timely manner.

Also, after wiping away your crocodile tears, see this response by Mission146 to your request to call Hillary supporters stupid idiots:

I didn't really request to call Hillary supporters stupid idiots, I asked if it was ok.
I didn't and wouldn't unless I was joking.
Either way I think there's a big difference calling people idiots or stupid than calling people anti-Semites, neo-Nazis and racists. It's crossing a line IMO. If we can call people N____gers, and F___gots then that shouldn't be allowed either.

I said this in the 2016 election thread, but it bears repeating since you're having the argument here as well;

So, not acceptable.

It says, "Troll ME."
Troll Math Extremist. Coincidence or the hand of God.
I say it's Divine Justice.

Although I do love a good conspiracy theory, a simple google search shows that to be a meme generator site. Likely where the pic originated. A poster named Keyser was suspended for that? Really?
Then again I am supposedly a "white supremacist liar". I am starting to understand the purpose for the polls here having an option to select, I'm a bigot.

This isn't to say keyser was using the site to troll mathextremist. He could'a used any site. And chances are, he just used google images.

Right...it just looks to me like it was not a troll of ME and that he should not have been suspended given the lack of clarity on the trolling issue.

No one called you a white supremacist.
I pointed out that you linked to a site that peddles white supremacist B.S. on a daily basis.
Seems to have crossed the line towards being a prohibited ad hominem attack on the person, not just his ideas, as it implicitly questions whether he has both the intelligence and ability to perform a specific function.
Quote: MrVThe insult which led BBB to suspend seems reasonably clear, at least to me: it was " Let me know if you can write a program that stops people from climbing fences or just walking across."

Sorry, but that is a stretch.

You're kidding right? ME said he had written programs that used advanced math algorithms to detect terrorist/illegal activity (which I believe he did and is quite capable of doing by the way) and Keyser asks a rhetorical question about whether these types of software solutions are capable of solving a simple problem of people climbing over a fence or walking across the US Mexico Border and that somehow insults ME? What else you got cause that is very weak...perhaps you can PM an Admin and get the story straight as the current spin isn't working.

Another fine example of a real insult to forum members.
Quote: MaxPenAnother fine example of a real insult to forum members.
Which forum member was insulted? Specifically?
It's already been established by moderators that anyone is free to vaguely label Hillary supporters as "stupid idiots."
I would say describing Trump's basket of deplorables in accurate terms falls very short of even that standard.
Quote: ams288Which forum member was insulted? Specifically?
Yep, that is the question...who did Keyser insult to get the three day ban and where specifically is the personal insult?
I see no other basis for suspension.
Good grief, a mod would never act in an arbitrary and capricious fashion.
BBB might want to weigh in on this one and explain the perceived basis for the suspension.

I don't agree with the suspension but I don't think mods should have to defend suspensions they make to us peons. It's an internet forum, the suspended will live on in another life.

I agree. Being a mod is a crappy job, but it needs to be done. Give em a break on something like this.
If someone is unjustly nuked, then it's worth fighting over.

BBB doesn't have to. The there is obvious biasness there though. As the board has been told several times, you don't like how it is run, leave.
An explanation would be of benefit to the board as there is obvious uncertainty as to how the rules were violated: an explanation could avoid another poster falling into the same hole.
Quote: rxwineThankfully the suspension list is getting some commentary action. I was kind of worried about it.
Yeah, the rejects at GF ran out of things to cry about.
We talk about other things.
Currently we're yakking about music and politics.

That's interesting. I wasn't sure if you were the same Mr.V I didn't think so, if so, It's hard to tell because it seem they would have a split personally.Quote: MrVHey, who are you calling a "reject?"

Upon your last suspension someone made and account here as if they were you bashing BBB . Many said you wouldn't possibly say anything like that (I don't think it was you), however "anything like that". I do believe you have made some fairly personal derogatory comments(I had to do a double take). I'm definitely confused. Mickey Crimm syndrome?

For the record, when I said rejects, I meant the ones that were permanently banned from here. And it doesn't mean I don't like them. I still get a kick out of reading that place. Unfortunately, the roulette nut jobs have taken over recently.

"Rejects" I think everyone who cares or knows, knows exactly what rejects you are talking about.
Talk about a dying site. I guess there's only so many different ways you can repeat the same insults and "cogent arguments" (NONSENSE) before it gets old, even for yourself.
It became alive only when "You Know Who" decided to use it as his personal podium to rant, rave and seek a bit of payback.
A "Franken-forum," if you will.
You seem to like it there, Axel: you're a regular.
Whatever, just words on a screen.
Yes, they should have changed the name to The WOV Enquirer. A few scorned members and their socks spent considerable time giving a twisted play-by-play of WOV.Quote: MrVWhen you say it's a dying site, you imply it was once alive.

I never said I didn't like the website(I hate the color). I have a relevant reason to on gambling forums.
I think they were clever in the way they attracted members and some other good ideas. Unfortunately it was not as they made it seem they kinda fooled people. Not to mention there's many fake members especially the female ones.
Perhaps there was a need for a good site that is somewhat less censored than this. But totally uncensored with people tossing around stuff like pedophile, fat shaming members their and this site, member harassment, racists hate speech, threatening members of the gambling community and whatever other negative stuff isn't going to get very far. I can survive in any environment and not much phases me, but not many can.
There are some people there I like and respect like BOZ, RS and a few others I can't think of now. The site may of had some potential. I was hoping it would morph into something much better.
It's been speculated that it's a front to profit from roulette cons. anonymous owners
It is what it is. I like GF like I like going to mcDonald's in Vegas for breakfast. Occasionally something is tasty.but for the most part.
It's the same sh*t different day.
It's quick and convenient, I Get in and out as fast as possible.
The bums, crackheads and freaks are always welcome there, along with everyone else.
You never know what you might get.
There are plenty of idiots , rude and incompetent people there.
It's very salty and oftentimes cold.
It's loaded with a bunch of crap, most of it IS just crap.
I know it's terrible for me, and I'm probably going to feel a little sick after eating it.
I would never recommend it.
Yet some would say I'm a regular there.
I have actually stopped eating breakfast there unless it's the yogurt berry parfait. Bring back the delicious deep fried apple pies and I'll go all the time.

No, if that's what his Avatar is, he'll have to change it. I can't see avatars very well on.my phone.
Ok, I looked. It's kind of a cartoon version of what you said. Pretty offensive if your interpretation is correct.
However, kind of a pot/kettle thing, coming from you. Your Trump avatar for about a year has been a pot of mud under a wig, or something like it, right? You're offending people with it as well.
I suggest you both move on to better things displayed.
