Is anyone familiar w any articles which incorporate myriad (preferably) craps examples so as to make the theory explicated below (esp as applied to craps and possibly bj) more undrstandable?

Surely you aren't going to make me read that thing to find out what theory you are talking about?
the next time Dame Fortune toys with your heart, your soul and your wallet, raise your glass and praise her thus: “Thanks for nothing, you cold-hearted, evil, damnable, nefarious, low-life, malicious monster from Hell!”   She is, after all, stone deaf. ... Arnold Snyder

I'm not exactly sure what theory you're looking for in there.

It's more of a lesson in statistics framed around various gambling games.

The reason I ask is I'm trying to get a handle on prob and statistics, esp as it applies to gambling. I have a pretty good math background (BSME - math thru diff eq, lin alg, math for sci & engrs (numerical methods etc), thru complex variables) but I've never been able to learn math except w myriad concrete examples and application. Otherwise it's just too dam difficult and abstract.

This is almost the same information but taught at a lower level.

http://www.mathsisfun.com/data/probability-events-conditional.html

Try this lesson, then poke around in the lessons on the website, you'll find a lot of good basic explanation of the notation and manipulation of numbers.

Hope that helps...
