Mike has agreed to let me order polo shirts with the Wizard of Odds Logo on it, for our forum members. Thanks Mike!
In return, I promised to protect the Wizard of Odds brand that Mike has created, so only quality polo shirts will be ordered.
I am going to use a local company (I have no affiliation with them), because they will support multiple styles and colors of shirts in one order. Your final price will be dependent on the Qty and total cost of the whole order (I anticipate getting a price break once I know the real order size).

How will this work?
Specific directions are below. Here is a quick overview:
You will look at the catalog links below to pick your shirt Style, Color, and Size. (Add $21 to the shirt cost as an estimate for now).
You will PM me your shirt style, color, size, and qty.
I will assemble the complete order, and then negotiate a reduced cost based on the complete order size.
I will then post the true cost and I will collect the money up front.
Once the money is collected, the order will be placed.
I will receive the order, and ship the shirt(s) to you.
Your costs will be the actual cost, plus shipping. I will add a nominal $2 per order to cover my costs for collecting and shipping the shirts. The cost estimate below already includes all of the extra charges. It represents my guess at the maximum you will pay.
This catalog seems to be fairly common. If it turns out this can all be done cheaper using an online store and individual orders, we may go that route instead.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have studied Triangle Embroidery's catalog and have the following 5 recommendations to choose from for Men's Polo Shirts:
DO NOT ORDER shirts using the links.

Keep in mind the WOO Logo is yellow, when you pick out a shirt color.
I have asked if that can be changed to black for lighter color shirts. I will update when I hear back.

Option #Clickable Shirt Description* Estimated $$
Option 1Port Authority - 100% cotton - 6.3 oz$47.00
Option 2Port Authority - 55/45 cotton/polyester blend - 4.7 oz$47.00
Option 3Port Authority - 100% polyester - 5.2 oz$49.00
Option 4NIKE Dri-Fit sleeve Logo - 100% polyester - 4 oz$62.00
Option 5OGIO sleeve Logo - 100% polyester - 5 oz$54.00
Option 6View Entire Perfomance Line catalogshirt cost + ~$21.00
Option 7Port Authority - 65/35 poly/cotton - 5 oz$35.00

If you are looking for women's shirts, or you want to see all of the choices from the Performance line, use Option 6.

* Estimated Cost is my guess of your maximum cost. I am hoping the cost comes in $10 less than what is listed here.

DO NOT ORDER shirts using the links above.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Directions
1. Using the links above, decide on the shirt Style, Exact Color, and Size.
2. Either PM me the URL ( with the color you want selected) OR PM me the shirt style number AND the EXACT COLOR NAME, AND the size, AND the qty desired.
Examples
http://www.companycasuals.com/triangle-embroidery/b.jsp?id=14297&prodimage=imglib/catl/K455_Dandelion_Model_Front_011311.jpg&swatch=Dandelion&parentId=991632 - XL - 1
OR
K455 - Dandelion - XL -1

3. Include the address of where the shirt is to be shipped.
4. I will send you back a confirmation number with your order details.
5. I will be posting the orders on this thread, using the confirmation number, not your forum name.
6. Later, I will announce a cut-off date. At that point, I will work with the supplier to give us the best price possible.
7. I will then calculate everyone's true cost, including NC tax, and shipping to your address. I will add $2 per order for my expenses.
8. You will get a PM from me with your final cost.
... At this time, you may back out if the final cost is more than you wish to pay. Everyone else may end up paying slightly more though.
9. I must collect the money up front. Once the majority of the money is collected, stragglers will be given one last chance and then dropped from the order.
10. With the money collected, the shirts will be ordered, I will pick them up, and ship the shirt(s) to you

FAQs

Q. Can Paypal be used to pay?
A.) We will look at making that an option, if there is enough interest in doing so.

Q. How are the shirts sized?
A.) In the upper right corner of each link, there is a sizing chart that I believe comes direct from the shirt manufacturer.
I would also suggest looking in a store for the manufacturer and trying on some of their shirts to get an idea of how they may fit.

Q. What does the est $$ include?
A.) The estimated price I hope is the absolute maximum you would pay per shirt.
I am optimistic the actual price is going to be about $10 less per shirt, but I won't be sure until I have the complete order.

Q. How can I remain anonymous if I am giving RaleighCraps my name and address?
A.) Unless you use a friend's name and address, you can't avoid it. However, rest assured your data will go to NO ONE else. Not even Wiz is going to get access to the data you provide me. In addition, I never address anyone in the forum by their real name, unless they have made it clear they allow that.

Q. I would like a shirt, but I can't spend more than $30. Is there anything for me?
A.)To protect the WOO brand, only embroidery on Polos is being considered. I have added another Polo that I think will come in under $30.

Each link has a sizing chart in the upper right corner. I believe the measurements are coming direct from the manufacturer.
I have a Nike Golf Dri- Fit XL that I bought at Beau Rivage's Fallen Oak golf course. I feel it runs true to size, or just slightly bigger than other XL shirts I have.

I wish there was some 'standard' but there doesn't seem to be any.

I have not tried on any Port Authority or Ogio shirts that I am aware of, so I have no comment for them.

You might check local stores to see if they carry any of the lines.

Sorry for the crappy answer, but it is all the info I have. (I am taking a chance on my sizes too.)

Paypal's good. But for US-based transactions, I'd look into Dwolla (https://www.dwolla.com/). As I understand it, they don't charge a fee to the recipient.

you should emphasize the price you show has the $21 already added. I didn't understand that at first. You might have a few who are balking after adding another $21 + shipping as I was doing.

I am hoping when I get done with the discounts, and getting the set up fee waived, that the cheapest shirt listed will be about $25.

I did not want to try and give the lowest price now, and then have to raise the price by $5 to everyone.

I am also guessing the Logo will be less than 7,000 stitches, but I really have NO IDEA. If it is more, the cost goes up.
There are too many unknowns at this point.

But once I can go to the supplier and say I have an order for 48 shirts, and this is what we will pay, I have some leverage.

And I 'think' you were joking, but I paid $175 for my wife's Jeff Skinner NHL Hurricanes jersey......................

I suppose you guys will know what I am ordering now, but Sport-Tek has run true to size, in my experience. The cotton shirts have occasionally run a little wide, but the one I am ordering is 100% Polyester.

Mission asked me to take a picture of the current patch. So, here it is. Click on the image for a larger version. Please keep in mind that the surface was bumpy so it looks like it is viewed through a fun-house mirror.

Isn't a heavy stitched patch like this too heavy for
some of the lightweight shirts you're offering?
This is usually seen on a heavier pullover, like
a sweatshirt. I'd buy the patch if there was one
and sew it on my varsity type jacket.

I am certain the 6 oz cotton shirts will do just fine with this logo.
For the 4 oz polyesters, I don't know. I am expecting the embroidery shop to be able to guide me with that.
One option I would think would be the same design, in a more 'light wieght' stitch. I would think that can be done, and not change the look.

The shirt that this logo is on looks to be a fairly heavy weave type of shirt, so I am guessing the heavy stitch look was needed to make it look right.

The shirt that its on that Mike wore is a heavy
material. Most lighter shirts will tolerate
silk screen and not much more.

A Tebow Jersey will set you back $90 last I checked. Or Peyton Manning for that matter. Maybe if I was young and stupid. I'll go for $25 for any of the three (WOO)

I will be discussing the weight of the shirts with the supplier, to ensure the stitched Logo will look right.
They assured me over the phone that they do stitching on the 4 oz shirts all the time.
I have Nike Logos on some of my shirts that are light weight. But since there is nothing on the tag to indicate exactly what weight they are, I am still guessing at this point.

I have an ominous feeling that if you send the picture of that logo they will retain the bumpiness on their end in the final product. My suggestion is to provide them an original of the Wizard of Oz logo and ask them to change Oz to Odds. You can then give my picture as an example.

It's funny, but I never made the connection between the lettering style of your logo to the logo for the movie.

But regarding your comment, don't you have the original stitching program? Or the name of the company that did it the first time? Without that, it's gonna cost a LOT more to set up.

Quite frankly, although I'm not interested in getting a shirt (I have my own Poker For Roulette shirts), I kinda expected that part of the puzzle would have been taken care of.

Therefore, the fact that your photo is bumpy, should be irrelevant.

Yeah, I had noticed the picture was probably not going to work directly. I was going to see what the supplier suggested first, and then go from there. Or, perhaps one of our members who has graphics skills would like to work up a clean Logo. Anything done will be sent to you for approval before they go on the shirts.

The company that did the blue shirts I have now is Upper Limit. I did some searching and can't find them. Nor I have I seen them at the gaming show the last few years, which is how I found them to begin with several years ago. I have to assume they went the way of the dodo bird. As I recall, they didn't charge extra for the graphics works.

I was leaving this open to see if there would be any more people wanting to get in. I'm not sure I have enough shirts on order to give me much bargaining power with pricing and set up.
These catalogs are used by multiple places, so I will be checking a few more out to try and get a better price for all of us.

I will go with what we have, and get a final quote from the supplier. When the final price is known, we can then decide if we want to go with that, or seek a lower pricing.

I got the quote back from the supplier, and they came back higher than I wanted. I am working on the numbers now, and I think it would come out to be the number I already supplied on the estimate. But, I was expecting a lower number from them, which would allow me to fully cover my expenses, including the shipping, and include any extra money paid in the shipment back to each person. As stated, I have no desire to "make" any money on this, but I also don't want to spend any of my own money either, other than on my own shirts.
I need to find out if their price included tax. It did not specify it in the quote. At this point, I am afraid there is not enough time to get this finalized, get money collected from everyone, and get the shirts printed and shipped to everyone by Christmas.

My other concern is the quality of the logo jpg that I have. The supplier says it is fine, and will stitch a sample for me, but only after I pay the $65 setup fee up front.

I am close to submitting the order for the shirts. If you want in on the order, get it in today!

For those that have placed an order, I will be sending a PM to arrange payment.

I have paid the setup for the Logo. The supplier is confident the logo is going to look fantastic.
They are stitching me a sample which I will view tomorrow and then put down $440 to order the shirts. The shirts will be done by the 15th, at the latest.
I will ship out your shirt, after I have received your payment. Look for a PM from me soon.
Please note: I am already stuck paying for your shirt, once I place the order on Friday.

I am still working on a pricing reduction with the supplier, and my shipping costs are still not known.
My promise to you is, by the time I send you your shirt(s), I will know the exact cost.
I will include in your shipment any excess money that I collected from you. I don't expect it to be much more than a $1 or $2, if that. I allotted $6 for shipping, so if that turns out to be too high, you will get something back.

Mike told me he will guarantee that he will see to it that you get your money back, should I fail to deliver the shirts (which I AM NOT going to do). So sending me money up front is no risk for you. Thanks Mike!

For those that have already ordered, now is the time to CANCEL your order if you are so inclined.

I can still add to the order before Friday 12/6, at the pricing listed. AND, if a week from now you regret not having ordered a shirt, I will be able to get follow on orders completed in lots of 1 or 2 shirts. It will just be a bit more costly than the pricing here.

Outstanding news. Many thanks for your hard work. I plan to be walked out of AT LEAST one casino in my lifetime by virtue of wearing my shirt inside... ;-)

Yeah, I was wondering how many of our APs would risk wearing this shirt logo into a casino.

I mention WOO or WOV to most of the craps dealers I am playing with at some point in the session. Some have heard of the site, most not. A fair number of the box persons will concede they have visited at least WOO on occasion.

I'm wearing it at Quick Hits during every trip!!!

I'm going to tell people, "Now let me tell you a little bit of something about how to know when Free Games are coming..."

Just kidding, I'd never do that. I'll only wear my WoV shirt when I am not at the casino, unless the Wiz can live with DP + Odds, then I might wear it when I play Craps. I'd wear it for BJ, but would really hate to f--- something up with the shirt on.

I guess I could explain the Quick Hits Progressive math, but the less people going after my +ER machines, the better...

The shirts have all been shipped to everyone who I received a check from.

The yellow logo looked outstanding on the bright blue and green shirts.

I got mine the other day, and just opened it and looked at it; Thanks, Gordy, for all the work you put in!

...Now I have to live up to the logo: no more slots, no more carny games and no more stupid BJ plays. Oh, well. But I got this nice shirt, so there's that.

This is the Sport Tek shirt

I am checking on how to get another shirt.

Based on what I learned from the first order, I was too low on the shipping estimate. A single shirt would probably cost roughly $20 more than the pricing you see on the page 1 table in this thread.
PM me if you are still interested.

If you go to the first post in this thread, you will see I was dealing with a company called Triangle Embroidery.
They have the Logo. They said they would do 1 shirt at a time.
You can contact them by phone or email. They are very accommodating.
