Just got my White shirts today. I have had Embroidery done for work apparel in the past. I can tell you that Triangle's work here appears to be Excellent. Very pleased. Thanks once again Gordy... job well done!

Thanks odiousgambit, boz, mosca, and midwestgb for the kind words.

It is one thing to risk my own money on an unknown venture like this, but it was nerve wracking knowing I was putting 12 other's money at risk as well.
And then when I had the logo problems, I was really unsure of it. But I have to say, I too am very pleased and really, really glad you are too.

One of the people who ordered desperately wanted their shirt to be in hand, before Christmas. It was going to be really close, and there was some discussion about cancelling the order, but in the end, we decided to go for it. I talked with the supplier, and they agreed to make that one the first shirt they would do, and depending on the day, I would drive over, pick that one up, and get it out ASAP. They don't stock the shirts, they order them in twice a week. So the day comes and I check in with them. Bad news. They had a machine malfunction, and the shirt was ruined. They were having a replacement shipped overnight, should be there the next afternoon.
Freaking Murphy won't ever take a break.

Shirt was done in time, and made the shipment, so it all worked out. My moustache has a bit more grey in it now (no hair left to speak of).

thanks chickenman. I got lucky and picked a great supplier.

The only reason I didn't order one is because I've been wearing my Poker For Roulette dress shirt and tie in casinos.

But I'm thinking about getting logo golf shirts. Who is the supplier?

Triangle Embroidery is the supplier I dealt with. Their catalog links to www.companycasuals.com who supplies the shirts. I noticed quite a few other suppliers link to the same outfit for their shirts.
It's all on Page 1 of this thread.

I'd like to suggest that we use this thread to write about encounters that happen while wearing the WOO shirt.

On 12/30 my wife and I landed in Las Vegas on a junket. Quick shuttle to Paris, express check-in, luggage to room, and then we caught a cab to meet teddys and his friends at Palms, for a trip to Main Street Station. I was wearing my orange Nike WOO shirt.
All four of us get a spot at one end of a $5 , 10X odds table, and I think we all bought in for $1K, although I wasn't paying much attention. I was on the corner, one right to the base dealer. Pretty soon I feel someone on my shoulder. It was the Pit (I can't remember his name, but I think it may have been Joe or Bill).
He says, "Nice shirt, is that your web site?" I replied, "Oh, no way", and then it hit me, so I added, "but then since Mike is local, you already knew that didn't you?"
He smiled, and said, "Yeah I did. I didn't know he was selling shirts though." I said, "He's not. A bunch of us on his forum talked him into letting us place an order."

At that point we had a nice chat about the Wizard's site. He talked about how great he though WOO was, and what a service he was providing to educate the gamblers. I mentioned how I felt the knowledge also benefited the casinos in the long run, and he readily agreed that was true. He really seemed sincere with his appreciation of the site. A couple of minutes later the dice came to me, and I rolled for 25 minutes, right out of the gate. So I represented the Wizard well (at least with my rolling). He probably would not have been impressed with my $130 across betting, but the $1300 win I had on my first roll was duly noted. As typical, I did not leave with all of it, but I did leave with some of MSS money, so it was a nice trip. First time I had played there, and I really enjoyed it. I will go back there when I am in Vegas again.

Can't wait to see how the shirt is reacted to in Biloxi...

Just got home on Saturday after spending 3 weeks traveling. Took me a minute to figure out what the package on my step was, but DAMN are these good looking shirts! I'll definitely bring them on my next trip (probably to northern CA, maybe Tulsa & OKC)

Thanks RC!

I played craps at Cherokee Thursday and Friday this past week. I wore each of my Wizard of Odds shirts for the 2 days. At least 2 of the boxes commented on what a great site this was, along with a couple of floors, and probably a half dozen dealers. The shirt definitely sparks conversations at the table.

On Friday evening, I headed down to the craps tables around 8:45 PM. I circled the 10 tables, and decided to take an open spot (SR2) on a $10 table. Since Doc has already posted about the encounter in his chip of the day thread, and since I can't improve on his telling of the story, I have just repeated his quote here:

Quote: Doc

As for my day at Harrah's Cherokee, the gambling results were a complete disaster. Don't even want to think about it. Fifteen minutes before we were set to leave the casino at 9:00 P.M. for the drive home, I was still at the craps table losing my last few chips. A guy came up to the table, taking the open position next to me, and I noticed his shirt. It was a bright orange knit golf shirt embroidered with the Wizard of Odds logo!

I asked him, "Are you a Mike Shackleford fan?", and he said, "Yes, I am."

I then asked, "Do you participate in his discussion forum?", and he said, "Yes, I do."

I asked, "What user name do you go by?", and he said, "RaleighCraps." I stared at him with what had to be a real dumbass expression, and he asked, "What do you go by?" I said, "Doc," and we just stared at each other for a while.

You see, RaleighCraps and I had met in person in Biloxi almost three years ago and played craps together. We met for the second time ever this evening, and neither of us recognized the other! I guess I can explain that with two points: (1) I am senile and have the CRS disease. (2) I'm not memorable enough for anyone to recognize on a second meeting.

Anyway, I still have it on the calendar on my phone that my wife and I met RaleighCraps and his wife at the Beau Rivage on March 18, 2010 not long after they arrived on their junket flight from Raleigh. I think he and his wife need to come to some WoVCons so that we recognize each other more quickly. If he hadn't had on that shirt, we would never have known that we were playing beside each other. Small world, I guess.

I remembered Doc had a beard, but I remembered him as being much older looking, so when I was running through forum people who might be at Cherokee, while Doc's name came to mind, I immediately discarded that answer as being incorrect. I, otoh, have not changed one bit. LOL

As for Doc's numbered reasons,
1. I don't think I am senile, but if I was, I guess I wouldn't know it
2. CRS could be the cause. I used to know what CRS meant, but I Can't Remember now.

The only thing that saved me from complete embarrassment was the fact that Doc had not recognized me either

Maybe I want to advertise this site to my poker league or to my gambling buddies. Whats your problem? Are you afraid someone is going to take some of your due attention by posting more?

Just curious but what the hell are you talking about?

I was banned/hated/outcast/outsider and generally not posting when this thread was started and unable to post.

I have no idea what you are talking about though. Maybe you could explain it to me.

I am on the verge of it again right now with so many people attacking me for what reason I don't even know.

I have no clue what his/her problem and/or angle is. It sounds like someone just trying to pick a fight with you AHigh for no reason whatsoever. I thought your post about wanting a shirt because you post more now was quite obvious in it's meaning. You are considering purchasing a WoV shirt because you are more involved in the forum. What's not to get?

I haven't seen RaleighCraps on the board in a while. Hopefully he is knocking 'em dead at The Beau Rivage!
