Curious about VP paytables in particular.
To make up for this, the music is played EXTREMELY LOUD. Don't plan on talking to anybody while you're inside the casino.
Quote: BobDancerVery few video poker games at all, and the vast majority were in the 96% - 97% range. It's a gorgeous property, but video poker wasteland.

I had a feeling that might be the case. Thanks Bob!
One thing you can't argue with - whoever picks the female dealers and female pool attendants, has a good eye! Sorry guys, no pics of the girls - that would have been too tacky taking pics of them. But take my word for it - it's a return to the busty slim girls of the Hard Rock Vegas' early days.
The Stadium Swim - I was somehow under the impression that the pool was multi level. It's not, but it is nice in its own way.
Their blackjack double deck seems pretty standard fare, dealer hits on soft 17, 3:2. All of their Baccarat is currently mini (may not touch the cards), but I was told that this will change to midi style in a week or so, in the high limit room. I opened a line there but probably won't play there until they have rooms to stay in. I try to play only where I stay.
Over all, a high energy bright opening.

Haven't been there yet, but maybe I will take a look tonight. Just the fact that they have double deck is an improvement from the other two Stevens properties. :)
Probably the minimums will go down over time.
Quote: MDawgThe double deck I saw was in High Limit upstairs, and had a $200. minimum last night. It had an even higher minimum on VIP night.
Bummer. I don't play in high limit rooms, not because I can't afford to, but the level of scrutiny is usually deadly for a card counter.
Thanks for the info though.
Quote: VegasriderHas anyone stayed in one of their rooms? Would like to see a few pics with a short review. Resort fee?
The hotel is not open is it? I think it opens in December unless they changed it.

Back to TV: the daily jackpot for new COVID-19 cases is 83,757.
for vegas, the waitress uniform isnt showing much skin:Quote: DeMangoVital Vegas posted pics of female dealers and servers on Twitter. Very nice, classy like Borgata Babes!
Party pit dealers?
Their names are on their chokers. :o
(Rumored: They also have Triple Zero roulette)
also, is it legal to have topless dealers in Vegas?
I did see some 8/5 bonus poker in multiple denominations.Quote: BobDancerVery few video poker games at all, and the vast majority were in the 96% - 97% range. It's a gorgeous property, but video poker wasteland.

Wizard did not find any 8-5 either except for 10 (fh), 8 (fl), 5 (st) and the two pair only paid even money. I hope you are right.
Nice review. I can’t wait to check it out myself - which probably won’t be until mid spring. Covid sucks.Quote: WizardHere is my temporary Circa review.
One minor html typo:
Bonus Poker &mdash 10-8-5-3-1 (94.18%)

Nice review Wizard. One question though, are you absolutely sure the blackjack games on the main floor are 6 decks rather than 8 decks? I only ask because at both the D and Golden Gate, the shoe games on the main floor are 8 decks?
6 or 8 decks makes a huge difference to me, the difference being true count frequencies at higher counts. I will of course get around to checking for myself, just am in no hurry right now since I have shutdown my blackjack play for the year.

Thank you.
No, I'm not sure. It probably is eight, given what you wrote.
I would have to be on some heavy hallucinogen to make that mistake. It's true, they had a significant amount of even money, however, I'm not a bad scout when I want to be. I was distracted with someone and wasn't really there to scout, so I'm sure I missed stuff.Quote: vegasWizard did not find any 8-5 either except for 10 (fh), 8 (fl), 5 (st) and the two pair only paid even money. p.s THERE WERE SOO MANY VULTURES!
lol.. were there many potential vulterable games there?Quote: AxelWolfp.s THERE WERE SOO MANY VULTURES!
I didn't do an inventory count, it's not my thing.Quote: 100xOddslol.. were there many potential vulterable games there?
Just like the D, I won't play the high limit room, even if there are better games. The ratio of pit/dealers to player is too high, meaning too many eyes on me at least during the weekday times I am usually downtown. Maybe a Friday or Sat night might be better.
The casino itself, very nice. I don't really go for newer casinos. I kind of like the old school feel, but it is nice. Had a very tasty burger and waffle fries at Victory Burger.
The sportsbook is pretty cool (or kewl) with the stadium seating, They advertise it as 5 stories tall. I don't really get that. Looks like 2 to me. You can see it from the first floor and the second floor. But whatever.
Bottom line, very nice place and adds a little class to downtown.
Quote: camz1969What are the mins on the 8 deck? $25?
$15 at about noon on a weekday.

For table minimums or Covid? LOL
Quote: Keyser(Las Vegas is dangerous...) Because of crime.
You caught me by surprise with that post. I was gobsmacked to see the 17 percent month-over-month crime trend. News like that could torpedo any quick recovery.
Quote: mcallister3200Last month aggravated assaults were reported to be up 35% year over year, despite the lower visitation. Have seen trip reports with commentary of deciding to spend more time off strip after deciding early in the trip they were feeling unsafe on the strip. I’d be curious if there’s any correlation with Raiders home games and the type of crowd it brings in from CA.
Since fans are not in the stands, don't blame the Raiders. More interested in Strip, Downtown, off Strip figures if that is possible.

During the second weekend of the season, which was the Raiders first home game, a Monday night game against New Orleans, the City was packed all weekend with fans from Oakland. It seemed strange because they couldn't go to the game, but they still came to Las Vegas for the weekend. ??? I haven't noticed that for the home games since.

I was about to comment that the 0 and 00 appeared to be switched on the layout - then I noticed that the entire layout is right-to-left.
How common is this?

You're going to start seeing metal detectors just to get into the casinos.
You'll see some turn away people unless they have a club card.
Vegas has become a dangerous ghetto.
Hands down best sports book in town
May hang out there Sunday
Disappointed it costs 10 bucks to enter the swim area.
May do that also Sunday. The 10 bucks good all day so best bargain buy early in the day
Quote: terapinedDisappointed it costs 10 bucks to enter the swim area.
How different is that from the other pools in Vegas?
Quote: kewljTerapined, if you are going to hang out at Circa sunday for the NFL or returning anytime really, hit Victory Burger on the second floor. You won't be sorry. I can't recommend this place strongly enough.
Hmm
Big place? Ventilation?
Can I takeout and eat it safely comfortably nearby?
I'm wondering how crowded the sportsbook will be Sunday. When I was there last nite, tons of empty seats. Felt safe. Place is huge. Maybe not so safe Sunday?
I like a good burger. Was at PH yesterday, was leaving and figured I would get a takeout burger from Gordon Ramsey. This was about 1pm. Closed. WTF.

Victory Burger is not a super big place. It is in a corner on the second floor but is open to the casino (not walled off) so it is well ventilated and yes, you can take out if you wish.
There is seating for probably 60, but the times I have been there, there was only a small handful of people. However, I have been doing my casinos visits very early in the day for the last month to avoid crowds and that has put me at Victory Burger for lunch at 11am-ish (10:30 one day), so you would not expect them to be busy yet. I suspect on a football Sunday, they will be much busier.
Saginaw...not cheap but good deli sandwiches. Pastrami thumbs up.
Quote: DRichI would not be using the pool considering that right now it is 46 degrees in Las Vegas.
Considering I see people here in the dead of winter wearing shorts, sandals and t-shirts....I’m presuming you will see people “laying out” and swimming in the Circa swim once the hotel opens. 46 degrees is a heat wave for the guy arriving from Greenbay, WI.

It's a damm good burger
Excellent
Halfway through, getting messy
Asked for silverware and got real metal silverware
High ceilings and not walled off
I have an excellent view of the video wall
