A couple of people have asked me about a new version of Dream Card that has a Dream Card probability of only 16%. It does have a pumped-up pay table but my video poker analyzer still comes back with a return of only 77%, assuming the conventional Dream Card rules. It is only available in triple-play mode and I know of only the deuces pay table below. I have no idea what to title this game to differentiate it from conventional Dream Card. One unit can be found in the high limit room of the Paris. I think another has been seen at the South Point somewhere.
What is going on is that if the feature is enabled, the game will deal four random cards from three separate decks behind the scenes. It will then give each a dream card, by the conventional process of picking the best card out of the 48 left. The hand with the greatest expected value of the three is then displayed to the player. In other words, the player is starting with a premium starting hand.
This would be quite a challenge to analyze so forgive me if I hold off for now. Hopefully the game will get titled and offered at VideoPoker.com. They have been kind enough to disclose pay tables and returns for their new games lately (I think partially to keep me from nagging them for the same information). Let me make clear the return must be significantly higher than 77% because the starting hand is the best one of three hands.
The question for the poll is would you play this "Dream Card version 2"?

At 77% for a VP game, I missed the poll option for, "are you kidding me?" And settled for No.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

I didn't word my post very well. I just edited it to say the 77% would be true if the bottom hand were four random cards out of 52. As I tried badly to explain, it is the best of three random hands dealt behind the scenes.

Ah, ok. Thanks.
Still No.
And I like Dream Card. But not taken with it appearing even less than it already does.

is this EVERY time or just when you get the Dreamcard?Quote: WizardAs I tried badly to explain, it is the best of three random hands dealt behind the scenes.
if every time, is there a 10play option??
also, like any other gimmick game, I would only play it if it's 99%+ return.
so awaiting calcs.

Please be patient on that. If any of the elite math wizards on the site would care to take a crack at it, by all means, have at it. I'm running rather busy at the moment, but will hopefully have time in early June.

Ohhhhhhhhhh okay. I didn’t see that before, where there are 3 hands analyzed when the feature is activated. I thought it was just like normal DC. Whew!
Unfortunately I have no clue on where I’d start in trying to analyze that. :(
