Last week I paid a quick visit to the Oneida casino in Green Bay, WI. They had a video poker game I had never seen before -- Deuces Wild Double Double Bonus. Here is a picture of the pay table.

Note how a three of a kind pays 6 in the far right column. I speculate that what is going on here is that the max bet is six coins. For the sixth coin the player gets all the bonus wins for any natural four of a kind, plus the extra coin for a three of a kind. Everything else pays the same as a five coin bet.

If that is the case, I still get a return over 100%. Here is the return table:

Hand Pays Combinations Probability Return
Natural royal flush 4000 441,054,168 0.000022 0.014751
Four deuces 1000 3,664,297,632 0.000184 0.030638
Natural four aces + 2-4 2000 1,189,024,968 0.000060 0.019883
Natural four 3s,4s + A-4 1000 2,367,293,940 0.000119 0.019794
Natural four aces + 5-K 1000 2,409,912,492 0.000121 0.020150
Natural four 3s,4s + 5-K 500 17,885,220,060 0.000897 0.074771
Natural four 5s-Ks 250 24,953,806,368 0.001252 0.052161
Wild royal flush 100 27,693,981,768 0.001389 0.023156
Five of a kind 50 59,515,958,100 0.002986 0.024881
Straight flush 40 80,176,183,488 0.004022 0.026815
Four of a kind 20 1,253,898,605,400 0.062905 0.209683
Full house 20 418,145,938,584 0.020977 0.069924
Flush 15 388,479,131,568 0.019489 0.048723
Straight 10 984,416,558,880 0.049386 0.082310
Three of a kind 6 5,756,714,691,156 0.288800 0.288800
Nothing 0 10,911,278,858,628 0.547391 0.000000
Total 19,933,230,517,200 1.000000 1.006440

If the player got the pays in the right column for a five-coin bet, the return would be 1.207728.

Maybe I have an error in my scoring function. Or there is something about the rules I'm not seeing.

Has anyone else seen this game before?

The question for the poll is assuming this game had a return comparable to other video poker games, would you play it?

I'm fairly certain I've seen a picture of this game on another site somewhere.

How come you didn't read the rules screen of the game?

Sorry, I didn't know there was already a thread for this game. Let's resume discussion over there.
