As the title says I will be staying at the Wynn this October and I have $300 or $400 free slot play. I am confident this applies to VP as well, unless they changed something in the last few years. Anyways, I looked at VPfree and got the low down on the machines, basically I will have to play $1+ machines in the High Limit room to get the best return.
Basically my question is, are there any other $.25 denominations with progressive jackpots that I should play instead? At what jackpot amount?
Would it be easy/possible to get free drinks for both my BF and myself in high limit room while I'm the only one playing? What is the feesibility of this outside of the high limit room?
I imagine I have to play the whole $300 at one time, in one machine, is that true?
If I'm playing max coin in a machine with chosen denomination of $1, it will be $5, right? 60 spins could go fast, making the lower denomination more appealing even with lower payout, if I am getting free drinks, correct?
Anything else I need to consider to get the most out of this offer? I will cash out any winnings.

Also, if anyone is familiar with the casino, do they have the double or nothing on any machines? I love playing that option on low paying hands.

For a guaranteed low variance play...... sell it to Axel for $200.

They do have some .25 VP progressives but I don't remember what the paytables are I just remember they are not good however the progressives do get up. IIRC you can also use your FP at Encore and they have lower denomination UX. if it's only $400 it's not going to be a big deal playing a lower denomination machine with a subpar paytable if your goal is to grind out the cash.

My question is...What are you going to do with the money retrieved from the free play? Are you going to just use that to gamble anyway ? If that's the case, you should just play it on a bigger denomination better paying machine.

You can also look for mini meters on must hits slots.

This could be one of them situations where you're better off playing 1 coin on a $5 denomination 9/6 rather than playing 5 coins on a bad $1 denomination.

I'm not sure if the slots comment was sarcasm/a joke, honestly slots are the one thing I avoid at the casino. But I am willing try try anything close to +EV.

We will turn around and gamble the cash back, but not on my account/at the Wynn. I have looked into what it takes to continue to get offers like this from them, and I'm simply not rolled enough for it. I got this offer because 3-4 years ago I spent 30 minutes gambling in their casino (VP and BJ), didn't bet more than $50 total. So, we're gonna try the same thing with my BF to see if he can get the same offer. After that we'll be staying at Casinos more our "speed" i.e. lowballer joints.

I will look into the VP at Encore. Thanks for the info that the credit can be used either place. Ultimately I may just play the high limit room if there are no good progressive machines at 25/50 cent. 'Cause afterall, I'm planning on hitting the Royal on this free $$, and it pays more in the HL room. :D

The difference is so minimal if you are just playing to get cash back no matter what game
You play you are talking about a 12 dollar difference (vp games) so your actual result is just going to depend on good variance
No longer hiring, don’t ask because I won’t hire you either

If they have electronic roulette, play $5 on red and black.
Drinks aren't a problem in the main casino. Just have money in two machines and drink away..
The difference between fiction and reality is that fiction is supposed to make sense.

M personal philosophy for free play is that I want to cash out as close to the face amount as possible, even at the cost of some EV. I don't want to redeem $300 and cash out something like $70. So I choose the game with the lowest volatility--JOB or Bonus--and I play max coin at low denoms if those are full pay, and single coin at higher denominations if those are the only full pay games available. Since it costs you a bit less than 2% of your return to play short-coin (because of the reduction in the royal payout), I will play short coin only if the lower-denom paytables are 2% or more worse. For instance, the difference between 9/6 and 8/5 JOB is 2.2%, so I would play 9/6 at short coin if the lower denominations were 8/5 or worse. Conversely, I would rather play max coin 7/5 Bonus than single coin 8/5, because the reduction in EV is only 1.1%.

Objectively, this is bad strategy. You should always play the games with the best return, within your bankroll. But I would be willing to give up $6 or $9 in EV just to make sure that I didn't get crushed. That, to me, is a psychological benefit that I'm willing to pay that small amount for. You, likewise, may just be looking to have fun and cash out as much money as you can. If that's the case, I would NOT play $1 max coin 9/6 JOB, even though it is objectively the best game.

You will get drink service even if you're playing one nickel at a time. Remember, they WANT you drunk. The free drinks are not so much a reward for playing as a way to induce you to play more and longer.

In every free play redemption system I've ever encountered, you can download anywhere from one credit to the entire free play amount, and do so in multiple machines if you wish. Just be sure that you play all the credits you download at least once, as you can only cash out winnings.

Since you're only running it through one time, you might as well find a 25c single line 7/5 Bonus Poker game and do it on that. (98%).

Thanks for the tip. After check in I will see if there are any outstanding progressives, make my decision then.

And thanks for the tip about the drinks at the bar, I will steer clear. That kind of shit kind of pisses me off...

Yes me to. Especially when you are actually betting a bunch of money and 2 feet a way some guy is one coining the penny machineordering some top shelf drink.

I really don't care for the Wynn or Encore that much I don't. Especially now that they cut me off of my invitation slot tournament. I just don't think many of the big expensive casinos are that impressive. I was very, very impressed with the Revel.

For some reason I like places like the Peppermill in Reno.

Free drinks are so you can't think. That's why places dgaf anymore because most of the gamblers play where thinking isn't required. 🐵
