I am hoping for an update on the possibility of making Diamond in a Day with Total Rewards in 2016. I also need mathematical advice on how much bankroll I need to bring based on the current requirements. I plan on playing full pay JoB on $1 machines ($5 per hand) in Atlantic City, at Caesars if possible. I am willing to put in long hours up to the full day if necessary.

Is this still possible and how much do I need to bring? Thanks!

Careful, I think most or all of the full pay machines in AC only reward 1TC per $20 coin in.

It's probably less -EV to do 8/6 or 9/5 that rewards $10/coin in.

Feel free to double-check my math, but I think you would have to player at a higher denomination:

5000 = number of Tier Credits needed in One Day to get the 10,000 Tier Credit Bonus

$ 20 = coin-in to earn 1 Tier Credit per VPFree2.com for 9/6 JoB in Atlantic City

$ 100,000 = coin-in required

20,000 hands at $ 5 per hand

500 hands/hr is one hand every 7.2 seconds

40 hours = time required to earn 5000 Tier Credits in A/C playing 9/6 JoB, $1 denom x 5

$ 500 = Expected Loss IF you were played very accurately AND were close to the long term EV

What, you won't give her the location of your secret slot? ;)

There's a bunch of threads about this exact same topic. Simply search the forums for Diamond In A Day.

More/Less your EV is about -$300 (well -$460 in your case of $100k coin in), but your 2SD is about +/- $2500. So you need to bring about $2500 to be 2SD (95%) confident you won't bust.

Another option is to bump up to $2 single line, or $10/pull. That will cut the hours in half.

How fast do you play? 500/hour is a good assumption for someone not that proficient... but anyone that plays a lot should be able to get 800hph easily. That's how you can figure your time. I ended up doing $1 denom last year and did 2 days of 2500 + 5000.
Playing it correctly means you've already won.

I thought two days of 2500 + 5000 was the most efficient way now, with the new bonus scheme. Is there a more efficient way for only one day (and the very impatient)?

I think people do 1 day of 5000TC for a higher ADT. Not sure how different it would be though.

Ahh, got it. I thought the limit was 5000 bonus TC in a day once you hit 2500 earned TC, but the Caesars website says otherwise:

My DiaD:
I did $2 single line 9/6 Job when it was still $10 per 1tc.
5k tc in one sitting which got me 10k bonus tc = 15k tc.

$50k coin-in, and I ended up +$1000.
How much +SD was I if I didn't hit a Royal? (and I didn't hit one)

Anyone know how the Tropicana VP tier credits work? I looked everywhere and saw 1 point for 1$ but obviously that can't be right.

Too soon, TeddyS, too soon.

Now I would consider selling that information, let's see, 10 people, $ 100 each.....

Are there any of those left at any denom ?

Wouldn't your EV be a lot lower because if you were to hit a royal or even a straight flush a a high denomination you would be taxed heavily on your jackpot?

the only hand you get a w-2g for @ $2 denom for 9/6 JoB is a Royal
