Greetings! I'm a relatively new video poker player and wanted to ask if there are any good options for players at the quarter level. As a Californian, I have several tribal choices and, of course, LV is not too far away.

Resources looked at so far include vpFree2 and the Wizard of Odds site. I practice regularly with Wolf VP (which seems to be a good freeware option to Video Poker for Winners by Bob Dancer) and play at very ho-hum speeds (600 hands per hour).
My games of choice are deuces wild and deuces wild bonus. Additionally, my hobbies include volleyball and I am proficient in Microsoft Office :-)

Given these data, should I expect to see at least some complimentaries from the casino and are there and particularly good venues for my level of action? Thanks!

You have all the base knowledge you need, up to you now to go scout and play in person and see what works for you. Pretty much everywhere has deals for new sign ups to the players club. Even with tiny coin in of like $50 you will start getting mailers for room discount and play money offers.
Assume the worst, believe no one, and make your move only when you are certain that you are unbeatable or have, at worst, exceptionally good odds in your favor.

Thanks for the reply. Our best tribal option here features 0.20% in free play with up to 0.33% extra when a promotion is running. This is great--and it makes my go-to of 25c 99.726% NSUD a positive game--but the drive is long and I suspect there are nicer choices elsewhere. And the mail: hitting a RF in May shut down all my mail for June. My mantra is normally "no pay, no play," but I do like to grind :-) Specific suggestions for good venues across the state line are welcomed!

Most places skip a month for mailers. Are you sure you played enough in April?
'Emergencies' have always been the pretext on which the safeguards of individual liberty have been eroded.

That might be the problem. My play in April was about half of what it is this month, and the slot club did say I met the minimum for July. The RF (making me a net winner for play rated for June) may be a serious confound, however.

While I am not an expert, and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn last night; I believe they don't measure on winnings. You receive credit for coin-in. With the credit varying by type of game.
