I was reading the Wizard's Jacks or better simple strategy guide and noticed something that seemed odd.

In the list of "hold rankings" number 13 says:

"2 unsuited high cards (if more than 2 then pick the lowest 2)"

What I'm wondering is, if I had something like Ac Qd 5h 3h Js, it sounds like I should hold Qd and Js. What's the difference between holding the lowest two versus the Ac and Qd or Ac and Js?

You have a greater opportunity for a straight.

Hah!

That makes perfect sense now that I think about it for a second.

Thanks
