So I found out through an error on VPW that 5K with WWW only applies to WWWTT-WWWAA. I pulled WWW55, so I held, and apparently that was incorrect. I'm trying to figure out why holding a pair of 5's isn't correct but ten's or aces is initially. Is it because you're less likely to pull a ten or ace again if you discard them so the chances of a royal are next to nothing?

If you hold WWWTT-WWWAA, it makes it that much harder to make a wild royal.

It's not next to nothing, but you are wiping out 8 potential wild royals when you discard two cards 10 and higher. So the EV of holding 222 when you discard 99- is higher than when the discard is TT+. It just happens that this is enough to make standing pat on WWWTT through WWWAA inclusive the proper play.

Thanks guys. Just now really understanding the concept of penalty cards and this makes sense now,

Naw, pulled two unrelated cards and had a 3K. Shit happens, better on VPW than in the casino. :)

Yeah, meant 4K. Apparently my brain isn't working tonight, although I played the last 800 hands perfectly on FPDW so not sure how that works...

The interesting thing is it seems like the best +EV game near me is at an Indian casino, and it's on DDB not FPDW. 99.96% + 0.4% slot club. I guess at some point I need to start learning DDB too...just been focusing on NSU and FPDW since that seems to be the best two games in Nevada.

Look for point multiplier days, drawings, bounce back Free play, promotions. Who knows you might be working with 3% if they have any of that combined.
