I stay and play at the mirage 95% of my trips. I usually go to vegas 3-4 times a year. I love the setup of all of their table games, but never have really liked the craps area. I am looking to find a new home base for playing craps. What casinos seem to always have a fun group of players and is a comfortable environment to play in?

Personally I like NYNY a lot, especially in the evenings. They have reasonably low table minimums, good music, and a fun atmosphere.

The Mirage. I personally like the dark casino, but I play mainly blackjack. I've also had a good time playing craps at Golden Nugget downtown. GN is probably the easiest food comp from the pit in Vegas IMHO...and I don't even bet enough in craps to be rated.

Casino Royale gets a bad rap for clientele, etc but it's usually a pretty good time at the dice table since the minimum is low (the $5 table offers 100x odds, the $3 table offers 20x), making for a action-filled table. I have found the cocktail service to be pretty darn good there.

Downtown I had a good time shooting at the dice tables at Binion's for similar reasons.

I found the crews at Aliante Station to be both competent and good humored. I got comped three buffet meals after 2-3 hours of action. The lighting is good and the access to the pit is easy. Five dollar minimum and 10X odds at three craps and one crapless table. Damn cute cocktail waitresses and some some capital "C" local characters for entertainment

I'll second Casino Royale. I'm a low level gambler (25 cent VP, $5-10 Blackjack, craps ) so it's low minimums ($3/$5) with x20 and x100 odds are great and I don't feel like I'm out of place betting reds instead of greens .

It has an old Vegas feel to it and I often bet don'ts there comfortably.
