The wiz in his recent live stream bought up this in response to a viewer question -

Not all games of Baccarat are the commission variety. There's the EZ Baccarat type of games where a 6 only pays 1 to 2, instead of even money.

Given this difference - do you think the card counting strategy would need adjustment to account for that?

The "obvious" answer is:
If you're betting Player: No
If you're betting Bank: Yes

I don't think there would be a significant adjustment. The Banker bet has a lower house edge in the 5% commission version, so I would stick to that, whether counting or not.
