For you math gurus:

While playing UTH, I have come across a dealer who unintentionally exposes one pre-flop card and one of two of their hole cards every time. Knowing that, how much of a percentage do I gain or the casino lose? Obviously it doesn’t come into play every hand but knowing that they have a pair or trips, etc can save me from betting on the end and I can fold my hand without exposing my hand. Also knowing that I’m going to pair up on the flop I can 4x a hand that I normally would not do, but that actually never game into play. But knowing that the dealer has paired up on one of their hole cards has saved me from losing more money.

I ended up winning about $400 during that down betting $10 a hand, no trip bets. I should have increased my bets. I may have to start looking for this edge with other dealers.

Here are the details:

The player edge in UTH knowing one dealer hole-card is 13.5922%.
The player edge in UTH knowing one dealer hole-card and one Flop hole-card is 22.3286%.
The player edge in UTH knowing one dealer hole-card and one Turn/River hole-card is 26.1867%.
The player edge in UTH knowing both dealer hole-cards is 38.5816%.

Of course, this assumes computer-perfect strategy, which is not human-feasible.

Look at my articles on UTH here:

Look for:

Are these percentages based on the base bet, or is it like the EoR calculation, where the average total bet is used?

Sorry for hi-jacking but thought this may supplement this topic instead of starting a new thread.

Where I am, the casino has no problem at all letting all players show each other their hands. Also you are able to bet as many spots as you wish. There is one guy who just plays the entire table by himself. My question is, is there any benefit to playing more than one hand yourself? At what point or at how many hands does this become more harm than good? Thank you so much in advance.

There is a definite advantage but it requires more knowledge to use it. Fro example, if you have a pair of 5’s you win the hand 55% of the time. Thus a 4 time wager. But if there is another 5 out the %age obviously drops under 50%, no wager. But you need to learn when this is no longer true. For example with 8’s or 9’s when it is still good enough for a 4 time wager.

Here's a start for some of the points that change the player's decision:

For more, just Google "Collusion Ultimate Texas Hold 'Em."

Teliot also did an analysis which I believe is now on the 888 site, but for some reason, my computer does not like the 888 site.

Great info and I actually read the 888 article last night it was very insightful!

But, actually my question was regarding play of multiple spots. Is there any benefit to playing more than one hand yourself?

The way I see it, the only possible advantage would be from the extra information you get. Playing more than one hand in UTH, like any other game, just lowers your variance, bringing your overall results closer to the mean.

For each deal, the strength of the dealer's hand is the same for the two or more hands that you play. In UTH, the importance of whether the dealer opens/qualifies and the obvious issue of whether the dealer wins with a strong hand probably combines to whip around a player who is playing two hands. I am uncertain but I suspect the reduction in variance from playing multiple hands is less in UTH than for other table games.

Anyone else have an opinion?
