I'm proud to announce a new High Card Flush Advanced Strategy by our own gordonm888. It is a pretty prestigious thing to be a WoO writer and Gordon did not let us down. He presents what is to date the best High Card Flush strategy in writing. Where he improves upon previous strategies is he considers the suit distribution of penalty cards in that borderline T32 to T98 range. That results in a house edge of 2.6855% and an Element of Risk of 1.57%. That makes High Card Flush a very competitive game to play in terms of odds and the strategy is quite easy.

Thanks Gordon for a great article and strategy.

The question for the poll is what do you think of it? Multiple votes allowed.

I'd highly recommend everyone read that! Not only is Gordon's work terrific, but it is also very easily understood.

Just want to thank the Wizard for taking me under his wing and sponsoring this High Card Flush article. I am very proud to be an author on the prestigious WOO site. I picked the subject because it helped address a (small) gap in WOO's coverage of currently popular games, and because I'm one of those gamblers who likes to scrap for every small increment of EV that I can get. The extra EV (0.059%) documented in this strategy may not amount to a hill of beans, but at least its published for those readers who are curious about that kind of stuff - and, dammit, its published on the WOO site rather than somewhere else.

I am laughing out loud at the poll - especially at the ballot items about "hand beauty"and analyzing the cooperation game. I think the last item on the ballot should have been "This poll is more interesting than the article."

I’m surprised that over 5% of hands are 3 card 10 high flushes.

This advanced strategy comes into play more often then I thought it would.

Very good job. It’s one of the few games I can play with my mom and not have to help her every hand.

You're quite welcome. I'm proud to have you as a WoO author. I hope this will be the first of many articles from you.

Thanks Gordon for taking something good and making it better!

And thanks to you and the Wiz for introducing me to this game. I'll try this at home!
