Here is the full story of how they stole my winnings.

What happened:
I deposited ~$20k USDC. Won ~$1,148 at blackjack. Withdrew $6k. Lost $15,148.

The excuses:
Prohibited Betting: They said I used a banned strategy. Asked for logs? None provided.

Restricted Jurisdiction: They said I was in a banned country. I was in the Czech Republic. Their site allows it.

The lack of transparency:
They refused to identify the specific rule violated. They refused to provide betting logs. They refused to engage with Casino Guru mediation. They refused to engage with Casinomeister.

The corporate shuffle:
The operator changed from TESSERA LIMITED S.R.L. to Techno Wave Systems S.R.L. (Costa Rica). No warning, no clear explanation.

The review cleanup:
Trustpilot shows they had reviews disabled. This aligns with the behavior other players have reported. I am not the only victim.

Details:
Amount: $15,148
Method: USDC

I don't think this is anywhere near the 'full story'. There are so many important details missing.

According to your story, they stole your deposit, not your winnings. That is much worse than the claim you make in your title.

Were you using a banned strategy? The terms of service that we all have to agree to ban almost everything that an AP would want to do. For many casinos, I agreed not to gamble in a professional capacity. This basically means that everything that I do on a daily basis is violating the terms of service.

Fortunately, the US-facing online casinos are making so much money that they would rather pay off most AP players after they ban them rather risk than reputational damage.
Gambling is a math contest where the score is tracked in dollars. Try not to get a negative score.

My $15,385 dispute with Bets.io Casino is not something I can simply walk away from. I deposited my money, completed the requested KYC, and played on the platform in accordance with the rules as I understood them. Then my account was closed and my funds were withheld.

What made the situation even more frustrating was what happened when I tried to get the dispute resolved through Casino Guru. I provided the information requested and participated in the complaint process. But when Casino Guru attempted to mediate the case, did not provide the resolution I was looking for. From my perspective, I was left without a meaningful explanation of what happened to my money.

That is why I started looking into other complaints involving .

I found a Bitcointalk discussion involving another player who reportedly deposited around $40,000 USDC, received approximately $12,000 back, and claims that roughly $28,000 remained withheld. The player also alleged that did not provide sufficient evidence explaining the confiscation.

Casino guru complaints
casino.guru/complaints/all#filterCasinoId=4112

I cannot personally verify every detail of someone else's case, but seeing another dispute involving a substantial amount of money naturally made me wonder whether my experience was an isolated incident.

Then I came across the reported 3 BTC "Gold Wheel" dispute.

According to that player's account, the wheel landed on a much larger prize and the player had video evidence of the spin, but the payout they received was reportedly only a relatively small amount in USDT. There may be an explanation under the applicable terms or circumstances surrounding the game, but again, it raises questions about how major disputes are handled.

I also started looking into who actually operates .

has been associated with TESSERA LIMITED S.R.L. in Costa Rica. However, I found older public information connecting with Alpha Affiliates. In 2021, Alpha Affiliates representatives reportedly stated that they had acquired and owned . I also found information connecting personnel associated with to Alpha.

That left me with questions I still haven't been able to answer:

What happened between the earlier Alpha ownership claims and the current TESSERA structure? Who are the beneficial owners of TESSERA? What is the relationship between TESSERA and Alpha Affiliates? And why do related brands and personnel appear across the same network?

I am not saying that a corporate restructuring by itself proves wrongdoing. It doesn't.

But when a casino is holding my money, I believe I have a legitimate reason to know exactly which company is responsible for the platform and who ultimately stands behind it.

I also looked at the publicly available information on Casino Guru, including its complaint history and safety-related statistics. Those figures don't prove that every complaint is legitimate, but they added to my concerns when considered alongside my own experience.

For me, this isn't just about $15,385 anymore.

It's about what happened after my account was closed, why my funds were withheld, why I couldn't get a satisfactory resolution through mediation, and why there are still unanswered questions about the corporate structure behind the casino.

I am the person who lost access to the money. I am the person who went through the KYC process. I am the person who tried to get answers.

I don't expect anyone to simply take my word for everything. I want the evidence and the explanation.

If believes that my funds were withheld correctly, then I want them to clearly explain why, identify the specific terms they relied on, and provide whatever evidence they can legitimately disclose.

Until then, my $15,385 remains disputed and unresolved, and I believe other players should be aware of my experience before trusting the platform with significant amounts of money.

When someone asks me why I don’t use the overseas online books to clean up, I show them your post. What possible reason could you come up with that would make me expect that ‘Youalwayswincasino’ licensed in Naoero will pay me my winnings? Or even return my deposit?

Good luck in getting your money back.

I am with you, do not play at casinos unless you believe you have a legal recourse to collect.

I had to avoid most overseas online casinos when I worked in Gaming in Nevada because my background would be scrutinized. Five years later I still refuse because any legal recourse to collect would cost more than the funds I would be trying to collect.
You can't know everything, but you can know anything.

Because in the vast majority of cases online books do pay up.

How often do they not? This site has been littered with similar tales of woe. I guess I would phrase it as ‘I hope to be paid’ but certainly not shocked if I didn’t.

Early in this site’s history it had a long list of ‘rogue casinos’, and a smaller list of ‘Wizard approved casinos’. I remember speaking with our dearly departed Axel about this very subject. He would always factor in the likelihood of the casino not paying him when deciding if a play was truly +EV. Sounds like you have personal experience using off shore casinos to make a living? With your hand on the Bible will you say you’ve never had $$ not paid that should have been?

Maybe I'm "too old" and "out of touch" to understand crap like this, but if you have $20,000 to gamble with, you can afford to travel to a brick-and-mortar casino where you actually have safeguards and established legal recourse if something goes wrong. It blows my mind that someone would just dump that much money into some random online website to gamble with. Couple hundred bucks? Sure. But $20k? Come on, man...

You can also get robbed, waste money on expenses, be physically assaulted/arrested by casino security, have your picture taken/identity recorded and circulated, or just screwed by the generally much worse value on offer from what is close to a de facto pricing cartel. If there is a payout dispute because your bet is voided, palpable error or contingency related wagering is invoked, good luck with your time-consuming and expensive "legal recourse". actually working out for you, even if you technically win in court.

Correct but never wise up a mark. Many AP’s here make good money online but don’t tell others.

for anyone who is interested there is a long thread I started years ago about the claim that online casinos are rigged
there are several long comments from Axel (r.i.p.) which many might find interesting -
he seemed to believe that online casinos were cheating him to some extent
it seems about half said there was rigging and about half said there generally wasn't
quite a few claimed that the risks were greater in foreign casinos

A list like that would be extremely helpful. I have used Bet105 with no issues and can vouch for them.

Edit: although the Bet105 mailing list was hacked, so you have to watch out for phishing attempts from lookalikes. But Bet105 themselves is fine.

any online casino state regulated has been a swift payer.

I have concluded that 'the score bet' is untrustworthy in that they can have you restricted to 'no offers' yet constantly send offers by email that do not exist for you. Caesars is fine with smartphone but their PC/laptop site is full of bugs and cheated me back in the day for amounts not worth pursuing
the next time Dame Fortune toys with your heart, your soul and your wallet, raise your glass and praise her thus: “Thanks for nothing, you cold-hearted, evil, damnable, nefarious, low-life, malicious monster from Hell!”   She is, after all, stone deaf. ... Arnold Snyder

Yes, all regulated online casinos have been legit: DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, Caesars, BetRivers, etc. all will pay out with no issues.

Hard Rock IMO is the worst of the regulated, onshore books. They are pretty sketchy but eventually it all worked out.

Smaller sites like TheScore and Bet365 are very, very quick to limit and promo-ban your account; still, you do get paid.

(AP) people use these online casinos in an effort to do what AP’s do…. make money. Initial deposit matches, loss rebates, free bets for certain plays, etc…. allow people like GT to win more often than they lose. If they are letting you deposit $10k and they will match it for some reasonable play through, then your only real risk is them just not paying you, or the games you play being gaffed preventing you from winning.

I don’t doubt GT’s claim that he has always been paid appropriately. Just that others haven’t had the same success, and lilRed’s post reminds me of my discussion with Axel about this issue.

Most of these places no longer exist in their original form.

A few places (not on this list) shut down and required me to jump through hoops to return what in most cases was trivial amounts of money. On a few occasions I didn't bother to jump through the hoop. One time it was around $1000-I can't recall if my efforts to reclaim it were reasonable or whether I was just distracted (I was making a lot of money from business at the time so it wasn't a priority).
I lost $400 at goodfellas casino (mg) but it was returned later by Microgaming themselves who paid back everyone who had their money stolen.
Mirrorbingo casino recently decided to ban me after I won $5000 using a very advanced technique. i deposited after the "ban" and continued to win and receive payouts. Eventually they locked my account with $400 in it.

I have never failed to receive payment in any other case from any other online casino or book off or on this list, though bans and countermeasures were frequent.

The only time I was definitely cheated was by 888casino who used to have a very obvious cheat switch for promo hustlers back in the day. This was verified with other bonus hustlers. The amount was trivial.

As a general rule people who are claiming to have been cheated just don't understand statistics. My lifetime play which is very extensive and literally compromises millions of hands/spins was within standard error. At one stage I used cheat engine to manipulate game speed and could play over 1000 hands of blackjack an hour, and 10000 spins per hour at slots. I ran a 23 man gnoming operation also. So I have a lot of data.

The one caveat is that I do not play 3rd tier joints, and I do take active steps to avoid exposing myself to the failure of one operation. It is not a good idea to bet parlays, focus on jackpots etc at a joint you do not completely trust to pay you. That said many people who chose to maximize their EV and do absolutely everything became very, very rich. I suspect many of those guys may have prospered at the wrong end of a 60/40 proposition.

Regarding the comment about foreign casinos: the blue chip euro/uk casinos are much more trustworthy than US-facing casinos in terms of regulation. Continental european regulators have real teeth unlike anywhere. There is little formal regulation of offshore casinos books, but for the large players there doesn't need to be: they simply make so much money it makes more sense to be pro-customer. For second and especially third tier books except a fight if you win 5 figures+- but even here they usually pay you off eventually.

How often do they not? This site has been littered with similar tales of woe. dn’t.

Sample bias. People only report unsuccessful withdrawals.

Yes.

Can you provide us a list of all of the online casinos that you have played at. It would be awesome to have a list of casinos known to pay out.

I'd rather not reveal details of my current play and I've excluded modern US-facing operations since the discussion seems to be about offshore only. These are the places that paid out without issue I am comfortable talking about:

Thank you for that great post. It does seem like you mention a few (small?) examples of when you weren’t paid appropriately. But of course given the very large number of ‘stores’ you shopped at, and the presumed $$$$$ you made from the majority of them, it seems like you (wisely) just considered those few blips as the cost of doing business.

But the $16k that the OP is upset about is significant TO HIM.

Yes, this was over 25 years. The "non-payment" issues I described were really non-issues mentioned for completeness and full disclosure.

I'm not minimizing the significance of what happened to the OP. It is a very serious issue.

The large online gambling operators really need to get together and work out a rescue scheme for gamblers who lose out. Rogue operators really damage their business.

That said you can completely avoid this type of situation by playing only with first and second-tier operations, doing due diligence to establish cashflow and structuring your bets to avoid significant exposure. I always underlay when betting with a book I trust less for example. That is, if you wish to. You can make a lot more money overall by hitting everything and taking a massive hit every now and then, but its not something I care to do with a major heart condition.

I'd add: many industries are much worse than online gambling. Publishers frequently stole money from me and others who had written books for them. Affiliate programs also often simply don't pay often with no explanation. Even large industrial contractors have to sweat payment. Legal recourse is rarely much use in this situation.
