Pick #1: Rangers -235
Fins- the concept of hitting a certain win percent generally assumes you are picking even money bets. Anyone can hit a 60% win percentage taking moneyline favorites in most major sports. If you pick -235 type bets and win 60% you will be losing a boatload of money.

March 12 Picks:

Detroit -105
Profit +200
Record: 3-1
March 15 picks:
Blues -150
Flyers -135
Florida +110
Edit: Profit +195
By the way, I think your picks are meaningful if you track the net profit on each pick.
Along that line, in the profit tally are you assuming you bet the amount of the negative line to win $100 in your experiment? If so I have your profit at +195 with the Detroit loss costing you $105. But I maybe missing something here.
Will be interested to see how you do down the stretch.
I was driving home thinking about my picks when I realized my profit was off. I was hoping I could change it without anyone pointing it out, but of course you beat me to it.
On a better note: It looks like I am going to profit today.
Profit: $255
March 16 Picks:
Pending (Will edit when lines come out for 3 late games)
Edit - Winnipeg -125
Doesn't quite fit with my usual formula but I love them at home and think the Caps are overrated.

Quote: buzzpaffCan you post your picks a little earlier in the day ? So I can bet the opposite way. THANKS
I'll post earlier tomorrow, Buzz so you can take the other side to the bank ;-)
0-3 in playoffs so far, -$300....didn't I say I should keep my day job last time. I will not be detered, more picks tomorrow (so Buzz can make some more money!!)
Hawks Even
Caps Bruins over 5 goals -150

Thanks, I need to get some money together by May to go to Vegas. !
I'll try these tonight:
NJ -1.5 +250
PHI/PIT under 6 goals -110
DET -105
Buzz, the other side of these should be a lock!

These are your three best picks. I predict you improve and go 1-2!

3-8 History (-5.04)
Florida Panthers vs. New York Devils, Money Line, 1.95
I expect also Nashville to win, but the 1.83 is a bit too short for me on Bodog. I can't find a prop on Bertuzzi and Weber having a fight.
Quote: FinsRuleThese are your three best picks. I predict you improve and go 1-2!
Which one will I win? Can you believe the freakin Sharks....I had a feeling they might score which is why I went with the Over 5 but never thought they would win!
What are you taking tonight?

Well not only was I wrong about the Panthers, I was wrong about the Predators and any fights. I'll take a 1-1 series going back to the Joe Louis for Detroit, though.
3-9 History (-6.04)
Boston (vs. Washington) -1.5 goals, 2.65.
New York Rangers (vs. Ottawa), Money Line, 1.59.
So I could bet the other way !!
NYR -1.5 = +175
PHX -1.5 = +260
I need some empty netters to go in at the end of one of these games!!
Quote: buzzpaffAny chance you guys could come up with a consensus BEST BET ?
So I could bet the other way !!
Why limit your upside to one of our bets.......none of them are right, go the opposite on all of them!!
