Ok here is what my Excel file says for pick summary. Also here were the issues:
ncfatcat did not have colon after name
ncfatcat said Detroit instead of Lions
Also need to fix file so I don’t need to manually fix issues with skip weeks.

Apparently I was using 2 requests every 2 hours instead of just 1, so I went over my free 500 requests per month. Oops. I paid for the Rookie plan so it should work for the rest of the month. I’ll probably update the times it gets new data for next month so I can go back to the free plan. The last data was 9/21 at noon pdt: https://miplet.net/newnfl/index.php?week=3&year=2023&month=9&day=21&hour=12 and new data should start at 2am.

I can confirm that Miplet has Skipped Week 3. He was sent a reminder.
Given that BillRyan has outwardly resigned from the contest, I am going to ask if he can be removed from the standings. As far as his Entry Fee goes, it's for the eventual winner to collect Entry Fees, so I'm pretty agnostic on it. I would say you can request his Entry Fee if you want, but if he reaches out to you at the end of the contest, then you should definitely accept the funds. If he doesn't reach out to you, then it's up to you whether or not you wish to collect. He'd be expected to pay if you did as there are no free dropouts.

The rules state that it becomes two losses with disqualification from consolation prizes.
However, NunBeater is a new player and it's early enough in the season that I can't imagine what possible advantage could be created by way of this error. It was an honest mistake. That being the case, my ruling is to grade both of those picks as losses, if you would be so kind, but to keep everything else the same. There will be no disqualification from consolation prizes due to this occurrence, either.

I guess you are using the ‘new member/honest mistake’ to trump the pretty clear rule. I think if NunBeater is in line for the ‘you suck’ award both picks should be retroactively graded as wins. And he should be disqualified from Mr. Average contention.
But I also feel that what I think, although clearly better than Mission’s solution, should mean close to zero!
NunBeater? Was PuppyKiller already taken?!?!

I think Mission made a fair ruling based on the situation. If it was Week 15, I'm sure there would be no leniency. Also, with a relatively small number of players in the contest, it's easy to judge an individual situation. If there were 100's of players (maybe even just 50), it wouldn't be practical to judge each case on its own and a strict adherence to the rules would be warranted. I won't be losing sleep over this ruling.
It's not a sin if you don't win, but it's a tragedy if you don't try.

If there was significant money involved that would be the correct solution. Since there is value in making a new member feel welcome I in actuality don’t care what you do! I’m trying not to think of the poor 80 year old nun being pummeled somewhere…..
