well, ,literally it was 6 UP (not 5 Up), 2 Even and 13 down.
And two of the contestants, Wizard and Miplet, are playing a high risk, high reward approach - betting the biggest underdogs on the money line. They would be expected to be down on most of the rounds.
Other contestants were also going taking measured risks by betting underdogs (e.g., the Giants and Jags) on the moneyline because the contest pays out to the top three finishing bankrolls, not to people with the most successful picks.

I excelled at basically breaking even this weekend.
