You are late to the party! Some really smart and intuitive poster (SOOPOO) predicted that half of the participants would be DQ’d after his (my!) reading of the rules. This occurred in the very first non-Mission post in this thread!
My 5 picks are in. $100 each. I may not be playing next week but it won’t be because I’m DQ’d.
Prediction…. SOOPOO in 4th place after week1!

If it comes up I will make it clear in the post related to that week, but it was a good thing you asked now.

The rule that every bet MUST be a MINIMUM of $50 is to be considered more important than any other rule. For that reason, a player with a bankroll of $130 would be required to bet all $130, in any way they wish, between two bets, provided each is at least $50.

The only exception to the $50 MINIMUM rule is if you have less than $50, in which event, you must make a single bet for everything you have.

Should any players find themselves so situated, I will probably send a non-generic PM as a Picks Reminder and inform any such players of their situation and options. They will have no choice but to bet it all that week and each bet must be at least $50.

Disqualifications for other than the most obvious rule violations will be handled on a case-by-case basis. For instance, late picks are an instant disqualification. Failing to make at least five bets this week would be an instant disqualification, etc.

It seems to me that if picks are due Sat @ 10 EST, and kickoff of the first game isn't until 4:30, there could be time to notify people of any rules issues and allow them to make corrections, if Mission so chooses. I'm sure this would be extra work for him, and I would certainly understand if he doesn't want to do this.

The way I look at it, it's a freeroll. If I 'foul' my bets, that's on me, and I have lost nothing. So, no biggie.

Yes; that's an excellent point. I'll take a little time to look over the Picks and PM people as to what might need to be amended.

I'm hoping everyone follows the rules and we just don't have any issues, though, because I would not be able to post picks until all Picks are available to be posted.

I also hope everyone follows something close to my formatting so that the intent of a person's bet is clear. One thing that I am not going to do is PM people for clarification as to what bet they actually wanted, so anything related to weird formatting would mean they just get whatever I interpreted the bet to be.

I have either eight or nine sets of Picks so far (including myself) with seventeen reminders sent. There are two PM's that may or may not already include Picks, but the PM subject is ambiguous enough that I can't really open them.

With that, we have either nine sets of Picks and fifteen Reminders sent, seven sets of Picks and seventeen Reminders sent, or eight sets of Picks and sixteen reminders sent.

I haven't heard from many people at all yet, which also includes some of the payouts from the WoV Picks Game, so I hope to hear from them soon on that.

Anyway, if you want to enter, all you need to do is read the rules and PM me your Picks by the January, 14th, 2022 deadline. It doesn't matter whether or not you played in the 2022 WoV NFL Picks Game and this is a total free roll game, so why not give yourself something to cheer for and take a shot at some free cash?
