Nice boosted parlay yesterday

My favorite one was Nuggets win/Jokic triple double. It was only +150. But Jokic has zero non triple doubles this year and Nuggets were huge favorites. The worry is always Nuggets are so far ahead Jokic sits 4th quarter

Jokic has started with 4 triple doubles. Only Oscar Robertson has ever done that. But no one has ever started with 5. You don’t think if Jokic is an assist short towards the end of his next game they don’t do everything they can to get him that 10th assist?

My other good bet was Randle over points. Whenever Edwards isn’t playing that’s a good bet. He had 22 at halftime!

One big difference is that Oscar had no idea if he was a rebound or assist short of a triple-double. I'm sure he had dozens or more games when he sat out extensive time and ended up one short.

True. Apparently I missed that Westbrook also started a season with 4 triple doubles. So far this year the tally (not including last night if there were any)
Jokiic. 4
Rest of NBA. 1

And still someone will come up with a reason to deny him the MVP.

My correlated parlays for last night all lost. The one that hurt was Sabres win/ over 6.5 / Dahlin point. Dahlin scored Sabres first goal. Sabres lost 4-3 in OT….

I'd never heard of a double-double or triple-double until the early 1980s, when suddenly it was considered an accomplishment

You can get +175 without a boost on Nuggets/Jokic TD. I’ll be using that as my SGP first two legs to start a 3 leg boosted bet.

I suspect Wilt had a double double in the vast majority of his games, and doubt he is alone.

It’s the 10 assists added to the easy points/rebounds double double that makes a triple double special for a center. Guards like Nash/Kidd/Young easily get a bunch of points/assists double doubles and rarely get the rebound component.

A triple-double is genuinely a rare achievement, and the quad-double should be celebrated widely; however, a star center or power forward should routinely achieve ten points and ten rebounds.
A star point guard should get ten points and ten assists if he is earning his paycheck.
A double double is akin to a quality start in baseball.
