Mr. Wizard documented that road teams in the NBA - while not profitable - cut into the house edge and were unprofitable by only about 2.7% - he tabulated 6,443 games
I wondered about road dogs who got 4 or fewer points as in the NFL
I used covers.com and tracked all of last season - (no playoff games)
the results__________road dogs won to the tune of 120-100-4_________a win % of 54.5% not considering pushes________an R.O.I. of 4.05%_____________not considering pushes
not nearly as high as in the NFL but many more games in a season to bet
I have a very strong feeling that the win % and R.O.I. would improve quite a bit if only divisional games were considered - since they are highly competitive
don't have the energy for that now - maybe another day - I need a break
