I started out in 16th place, fell to 17th and now to 18th. So, um, . . . I am really stinking up the contest. I can't seem to get the hang of what is going on this season.
Even FastEddie, the so-called AI bot, is ahead of me. Mission just went 0-6 and yet he is still ahead of me. AZDuffman started out by announcing that he would be terrible at this -and he is ahead of me. I'm just an epic fail.

NOTICE:
Reminders will go out this evening, though there aren't very many to send.
Aside from that, FastEddie has been Nuked on the grounds of being Buzzpaff. Given that he has already started playing the game, and I know he will honor his bets, he will have the option to send his picks via E-Mail for the rest of this year's game. I also didn't know he was Buzz at the time that he started playing.
Per the Rules of the Game, I have PM'ed him an E-Mail address to which he can send his Picks. Though Nuked, he is able to receive PM's, just not send them.

I hadn't noticed this myself. (Isn't usually a bit later in the season, that we have an overseas game?)
This game is being played at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and yes, it starts at 6:30 am here on the West Coast.

I will also admit that the deadline is somewhat arbitrary. The main reason for it is so that I have enough of a window to be able to post the Picks before the main games kickoff. The original deadline was 12:59p.m., EST, I believe and it was changed mainly because folks (understandably) like seeing the Picks posted before games kick off.

I expect that there will be no payment from FastEddie. I guess its one of the drawbacks of not having an upfront payment.

Not so much. JAX likes to volunteer for it because they cannot sell tickets at home. Other teams probably do as well. And don't think teams with better playoff chances do not try to get out of all the hassle of it.

I wouldn't say the Jags can't sell tickets. The thing is, the revenue generated by the London game far outpaces even a sellout home game for the Jags. I would say that this is true for all teams in a so-called "small market**."
I hate the term "small market." It is really just a euphemism for "poor" or "cheap," and has little to do with geographic location. Case in point, the Oakland A's are always referred to as "small market," but the Giants are not , even though they share the same market!
